Shadow Dresden | M | Loner | Werewolf | M: Rogue(dir)
Shadow listened a moment longer before heading down the path. He had just reached a clearing when he heard a voice behind him. He whirled, dipping his head like he had seen the coyotes do to growl. His lips peeled back to show his fangs as his eyes scanned the individual in front of him. First, the shoes. Oh heels. He didn't know how girls managed to walk let alone run in those things. She had a red dress on, reminded him of blood which made him like her until he saw the fur coat. It also matched her hair. Hmph. He wasn't much of wearing the fur of his enemies. Even if that wasn't her intention, he didn't like fur jackets. He preferred leather.

Jewelry decorated the rest of the woman. The shiny items mainly caught his eyes and he stopped growling for a moment. The gold colored bracelets definitely had his attention although the earrings caught his attention. He blinked a couple times to get out of that zone. Nope, he'll find something shiny tomorrow. Or just go home to his jewelry collection. Shiny things definitely had his love. Refocusing on the female, he heard the next part and had to stop himself from laughing. Not that his wolf felt like laughing much. Shadow could feel his wolf wanting to lunge at the female. Not yet.

He finally huffed, taking in her scent. Huh. . .that was odd. He flicked an ear before sitting down, mocking a tamed hunting dog by looking at her with a cool expression. She smelled of human blood and an odd scent. A chill, whether it was excitement or surprise, ran through his fur. Vampire. Those creatures were supposed to be long gone right? Not that he would have any idea but the fact that this one was so close to pack territory was definitely a surprise. Despite her being a vampire, she had managed to notice that he was a werewolf and was indeed teasing him.

Which brought him down to that question. He didn't normally shift in front of anyone, human or mythical. Shadow knew that the vampire had determined that he was a werewolf but he still wasn't sure if he should shift in front of her. If he was wrong and she wasn't a vampire, then he would have an easier time. Knock her out and tell her it was a dream. He hadn't really tried it on anyone but who would actually believe that werewolves and vampires were real? Shadow flicked his ears before getting to his paws. One way to tell. He lowered his head, raising his fur into a bristle before making his way in a circle around the female. He kept his ears flattened and his claws mostly out. He didn't growl though, if he remembered right, when a wolf was cautious but curious, they didn't growl.

Shadow circled her one more time before stopping by a tree. He flicked his tail before tilting his head to the side. Suddenly, he sat down and scratched an ear. He did have an itch but he also wanted to see how she would react to the normal wolf sequence. And let her question whether she was crazy or not. Sitting back down, he blinked at her getting bored at the interaction. If she did do something odd to let him know that she wasn't a human, he would shift. Until then, he would watch.

She wasn't sure if blondie was going to pull through. His haunted face warped and distorted to some fierce, rabid degree when he stood up. Frankie flinched and reflexively drew backwards. It suddenly didn't feel safe here anymore. Her hand instinctively grabbed a hold of Mosi's forearm and tugged back gently, just enough to suggest that they part. She has a bad feeling about what was going on, and though she was fairly confident in her abilities as a wolf, she didn't think she'd be able to overpower this guy in human form. She couldn't risk transforming in public, because who knows who or what was watching. Almost proving her worries to be sane, Frankie's pale blue eyes shifted to the side, where they briefly fixated on another man that was quietly murmuring off to the sidelines. He seemed to know blondie's rescuer.
+
All too suddenly, there was too much danger here. It was starting to feel real. Maybe this wasn't about saving him, maybe this was a trap; a ploy; a decoy. Were they trying to lure the women into the car? Capitalize on their empathy? Frankie's dark brows furrowed a little and she swallowed hard. "I think there's something wrong with him," she whispered quietly and tucked back a little further. Her car was only a few spots away, but her stomach grew queasy as she imagined turning her back on this man. She cringed when she imagined him shoving her down onto the cracked tarmac, how the sticky, broken pavement would cut up her arms. Maybe her face would bleed if she fell at the right angle. For some reason, this idea felt like it was going to be their reality very soon if they didn't leave now. "Sorry, I can't help with him," Frankie shouted a little to Calloway's rescuer, and had grabbed her keys in a fist full, with the pointed edges sticking out between each finger, like Wolverine's claws. "We have to go, I'm sorry!" Frankie managed out and withdrew a few steps more. "Mosi, I think we need to hurry," she said just loud enough for her friend to hear, and had paced backwards a few steps. The intoxicated man still stood in place, but his lips opened and face scrunched up into a humanoid snarl. It was then that her eyes saw his elongated fangs, how the spittle reflected the yellowy streetlights off of them. He suddenly didn't seem human anymore.
+
Frankie had quickly shuffled to Drac, her poor beater car, and had quickly mashed the unlock button on her key hob to allow herself and her friend some sort of barrier. It was then that she finally looked away from the men at the luxury vehicle to find the handle on her side, and she cursed repeatedly under her breath when she found that the handle was stuck.
Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!

Simon Oliver Reed
Medic Assistant || M || Travelling || Mentions: Raven
Simon smiled a little when Raven's playlist came on. It was quite different than the playlist that he and Mosi had listened to on the way in, but he enjoyed both. He could jam to just about anything. His fingers had stretched forward to crank the music up a little louder, and his lips parted to quietly murmur some of the chorus before he'd glance back at his friend. He had glanced in the direction of the bar, but he couldn't really see anything from this point. He mostly just saw the red tail lights from the car in front of them. He had nestled into the driver's seat a little further, rolling his shoulders to try and relieve some pain. His thumbs traced over the fresh claw marks in the steering wheel that had been sliced in when he had to slam on the brakes earlier. What a day.
+
Raven was strong, and while he wanted to believe her, he wasn't sure if he did completely. He just hoped that she wasn't in extreme pain. He hated knowing that she was hurting, but also didn't want to overstep. It'd make for a painfully long car ride if he started in now. "Alright, well, I have Advil in the glove box and there's now plenty of drinks and snacks to take it with if you need some," he offered lightly. His brown eyes looked ahead, growing a little drowsy, which had urged him to take a few swigs of the coffee he had gotten at the shop.
+
They were finally back on the highway; it was nearly a straight shot until they got home now. He had started to sing a little again to Raven's music, and his upper body did a few little shimmies to dance in his seat, which were pretty much always followed by a dumb little laugh. He liked these moments with his pack mates, when they were one-on-one. It felt good to reconnect with everyone when it could be managed, even in little moments like this.
+
He had waited a minute or so in silence to see if Raven would accept his offer and seek out the Advil before he'd start in again. His lips had parted and a little chuckle followed. "So, think you'll make it through the whole movie?" Simon asked. "Ikaris seemed...tired, after everything today. I imagine he'll probably be the first out," he started, his typically lighthearted tone was growing mottled by congestion, so he cleared his throat and yanked immediately afterwards. "Or maybe me, who knows," he laughed again and blinked a few times, flicking his turn signal as they neared their exit.

Raven | F | Beta | M: Simon, Mosi & Frankie(ind)
Raven caught a glance of the bar and watched for a moment, hoping that the girls would be alright. And got home soon as well. As they turned onto the road, Simon reached over to turn the music. She was glad he could catch up to any beat, she certainly couldn't sometimes. Raven could tell that she hadn't totally convinced Simon that she was alright due to his comment as they reached the highway. She waited a moment before reaching forward, getting into the glovebox. After rummaging for a moment, she pulled out the advil and got herself two of the pills. For bad pain, she normally would take four but any medic would know that.

She pulled out her Sprite before taking a swig, swallowing the pills. The lime taste hyped her up before she reached to the bag to grab the Cheez-its. Totally anonymous Rave, going for your favorite snack. She thought, popping one into her mouth. She did notice however, the dance that Simon was doing and gave a small smile before hearing his question. They had neared their exit and Raven took a moment before responding, "I think I'll be out after the previews. It's been a long day." A sad tone entered her voice but she quickly teased Simon to cover it up, "I'm sure you'll dance the night away with your moves."

Raven threw a grin in his direction, mimicking his little shimmy. Her eyes, however, looked a bit distracted as she stared out the window. "Or I might be asleep by the time we get home. If I'm going to..." She murmured under her breath before stopping. There was a carnival tomorrow, a perfect distraction for the pack so she could slip away. It was going to be a long run for certain. And she still had to figure out an excuse to get Ikaris off her back.

What was left anymore?
What was the point?
The last pillars of strength that binded his mind together were collapsing, quickly. Everything burned; his lungs, his face, how his fingertips kneaded into the cold metal exterior of his passenger door. He could feel the paint chipping and imbedding beneath his finger nails as he clenched the doorframe to stabilize himself. His gaunt face was intense and hard, and his eyes glared at the woman that waited for her partner from a few spots over. If he ran, he could catch her. If he ran, he could feed. If he ran, he could prove that there were no heroes here tonight; that he didn't need rescuing; that he wasn't a project; that he wasn't worth all of this.
That he was a killer.
...
He had heard the whispering in the opposite direction in the next seconds, and how the tar crunched and kicked aside from their footfalls. The sound of keys was what had made his attention initially flick to them. To her. He could hear her spewing directions to her friend, and he could see her eyes widen as she looked back in his direction. He could see the fear.
That was what he needed.
...
His nostrils had flared and his lips had parted. He could feel the long, white daggers in his mouth scrape his tongue as his face twisted into a snarl. A frenzy was beginning; he could feel it, how the adrenaline surged through his veins. His heart thudded rapidly and hard, and the sound of it rang in his ears so agonizingly loud. His mind went numb, thoughts gone. Everything but her had become shadowed and blurred out. It was just the two of them out here, here and now. His hands let go of the doorframe, and he began the chase.
...
It took only a second or two, if that. Catching up to her was easy. A vampire was fast, agile, and cunning, especially when in such a primal state, and there was only one car in between that separated them. It was her fear that triggered him, not the blood, not the woman. In some twisted, sadistic sort way, seeing her this petrified made his fears from tonight start to fade into the back of his mind. Goodbye, Karina.
...
She was cornered. Trapped. Her keys were in the door, but the handle still wasn't budging. They had made eye contact right before his hands grabbed her shoulders, right before he had slammed her back onto the driver's side doorframe. The impact cracked the glass on the window and knocked whatever air her lungs had inside. She couldn't scream, but he could see that she wanted to. Her blue eyes were wide and fearful, like a deer waiting to be struck in the middle of a highway. His fingers dug into her forearms so tightly to keep her in place that all of the bones and muscles in his fingers trembled and felt ablaze.
...
The beast had wasted no time to lean in to conquer his prey. His head had abruptly tucked to the side to puncture through and taste the artery in the side of her neck. In one swift movement, his mouth had started to plunge downward, pointed teeth exposed and dangerously close to sweet impact, but his body had jolted from a sharp, deep pressure. Two of Frankie's keys speared through his thin undershirt and through his pale skin in his lower left abdomen. She had managed to wriggle them free and had just enough room to cram them forward. Frankie gasped and tried to stifled out a frightful scream, but nothing came out. The monster had started to stagger sideways, but his own downward movements had caused his teeth to puncture through the skin on her shoulder.
...
Calloway had caught himself from falling and his lips pulled her blood into his mouth rapidly for a brief second or two. His loud, desperate puffs of air heaved in through his nose shakily as he tasted her vile blood. He could taste the fear in it, but there was something else, something unlike the rest of the human blood he had drank previously. Something revolting. When she shoved him again, his body smacked into the side of the car beside him and then abruptly onto the tarmac. The lead vampire winced as his body struck the ground, and one of his hands reflexively rose to wipe away the dribbles of her blood on his mouth. The movement of his arm made his body physically shudder, and his shrunken pupils glanced downward to see the keys that stuck out of his torso. Blood was quickly pooling around the sight of entry and soaking through his white undershirt, which was now a mottled red mess. His face had started to sober up, but it was too late. It had been done. There was no talking him down now.
...
Everything felt like it was in slow motion. All of the noises around him were muffled, and all of the motions seemed distorted and delayed. His gray eyes had glanced upwards, where the woman had been waiting for her partner from across the parking lot, but there was nothing there, not even a car anymore, just an oily parking spot. Was this his end? The one that he deserved? Maybe. He could feel deep internal pressure around the keys lodged in his stomach, but knew that if he pulled them out that his chance of bleeding out here and now was likely.
...
The werewolf had started to shift from the intense emotion, but not fully. Frankie knew that this was still public, that someone out here might see her, but white fur had begun to pool out from her pores, and her nose and lips had started to meld and elongate. She had staggered forward a bit and caught herself with her good arm on the hood of the stranger's vehicle, and her eyes frightfully examined her wound at a glance. He had bitten through her right trapezius muscle in the side of her neck and shoulder, and blood was pouring from the bite wound. She was light-headed, but adrenaline filled, and her body slowly toppled forward to sit on and straddle the beast's chest.
...
Her fist made such an intense impact with the side of his face that his head immediately whipped as far as it could go to the side and smacked down onto the cold, wet parking lot. He could feel loose, sharp pebbles jab into the back of his skull. She could feel fire in her body from the agony of his bite. Her injured shoulder hung back defensively, while her dominant hand trembled and clenched above Calloway's face. She panted and could feel tears pooling from her eyes, and she saw them in his own, as her fist brutally whacked again. She could feel his jawbone jut to the side under her chuckles, and she whimpered when she saw an immediate bruise form on his near translucent skin. She audiably, frustratedly screamed and cried, and her fist reared back to prepare to strike him again, but she was starting to feel weak. Both were shaking and fragile, but both could make it if they were cared for.

༺ Mosi Kana′tĭ ༻
Scout • 24 Female • M: two unamed males in car, tori(ind),Frankie(dir)

Walking up to the gathering group between what Mosi saw as an expensive ass car and Frankie's poor broken down one. She had asked if everybody was alright as she had noticed a distressed looking male sitting half in and half out of the car. The other man seemed to be trying to help him get home or something of the sort. Tori seem to also have the same goal. She was the embodiment of kind in situations like this as she had seen in the past two years living here. But the woman had suddenly gotten a call and had to quickly leave sounding urgent.

Not getting a answer from any of them she now noticed the sickly looking man had stepped out of the car and his eyes where pinned to Frankie. Both men had a strange scent and Mosi couldn't place it. Frankie who's racing heart could be heard from Mosis spot on the sidewalk as she approached. Began clutching for her keys and mouthing a panicked few words in her direction. Her instinct to protect her friend flooded her. But he was faster. Quicker than a blink the strange man was upon Frankie running to her car a few paces away.
The man had gone to bite her and Frankie had stabbed him with her keys. "What the fuck!" Mosi shouted as she made it to Frankie's car. She couldnt use her full speed knowing full well humans where inside the bar still. Sliding over the hood and went to knock the teeth from the man. When it hit her. The scent. It wasn't that she didn't recognize the scent it was they didn't have one at all. Just the stolen scent of someone's barrowed stale blood running through their veins. She had only heard stories of cold ones. Never did she actually think she would come across one. Let alone two.

Shaking from her daze she snatched Frankie's flying fist. The white werewolf had started to shift and beat the shit out of the man. Blood pouring from her shoulder.
"Frankie Stop!"
she pulled her up with unnatural strength holding her close behind her back. Her black braid flipping over her own shoulder as her face turned back towards the men. "Frankie get in the car now." She said it with enough care to get her to safty but with an urgency that said unshift now.
Her pitch black eyes landed on the vampire still in the car as she walked over the the one on the ground. Leaning down she snatched the keys pulling them quickly from his chest. He would heal. But not with Frankie or her blood. That would only choke him.
While there where human patrons inside the bar still these men where not human. Which gave her the safty to do what was needed. Her black eyes locked on the men with a snarl. Canines elongating. The copper skinned female spoke. Her black eyes shifting to a blazing golden color. "You are in werewolf territory and just attacked a member of its pack. In potential sight of humans. I may have only slightly heard of your kind before but I know for damn sure you have heard of us and know not to fuck with a pack." Her canines went back to normal as did her optics.
Focusing her attention on the man in the car "get him the hell out of here"

With that as her final word she went to the drivers seat of Frankie's car. Slamming the door then wincing as the entire thing groaned in protest. When she thought the car wouldn't fall apart she started the engine and sped out of the parking lot. Her hand going to grab Frankie's in comfort without a thought "are you okay? " she glanced over as they hit the deserted forest road that would take them home. Every fiber of her wolf was shaking in rage. Her years of growing up in a pack that stayed in wolf form a lot had gave her mastery over her wolf shifting without her consent. But those men had brought her close to loosing control. She should go back and tear out his throat. No Mosi No the humans would see and you would all be expiremnted on. Your wolf isn't very easy to miss even if your short ass is. She started calming her thoughts and racing heart with a shake of her head. On one hand she was terrified of driving Frankie's ancient car on the other her friend was bleeding and they had just met actual fucking vampires. What the hell was this day.

Rouge

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

Mentions: Shadow (dir.)

Rouge's auric audits lit up when she noticed the canine grew enticed to the jewelry on her wrists. The corner of her lips twitch, twirling the golden bracelet lazily around her wrist. "Ah, you have a rich taste, dog. I'm impressed." It sounded like a compliment at first, but upon closer inspection, it was light sarcasm. The vampire couldn't help but grin. She discovered a new way to toy with the werewolf by using his quirk against him. Rouge brought her fingers to her earrings, removing them from her lobes, and dangled them in front of the werewolf. She tilts her head to the left, her eyelids narrowing with a predatory look lurking within her audits. "You can have this if it touches the ground. Should be simple enough for you." With a flick of her wrist, she throws the jewelry into the air, shifting her legs to position herself to leap.

As her earring was close to their position, Rouge soared into the air, almost fading from existence with her increased speed. She snatches her expensive attire in mid-air, doing a quick flip, then twists her body to face the werewolf once she lands. She was behind the werewolf, putting the earring back into her earlobe with a smug look on her face. "You were too slow, I'm afraid. No fancy jewelry for you, dog." Rouge was being pompous as we speak, wanting to boost her ego to increase her love for her vampiric bloodline. Although, the complacent appearance faltered and was replaced with a fake pout. "Oh, dear. I'm bullying you too harshly, ain't I?" She rakes her fingers through her hair, shaking her head as if to scold her terrible behavior. "Shame on me. Living in an upper-class status for eons has caused me to act like a schmuck." Her arms crossed together, tapping her heeled foot on the earthly ground beneath. "Oh, how I squirm in my atrocious, prosperous lifestyle. Such a scandal, I truly am."
