As Kodak awaited her answer, he was still happy for the change in Lidiya. He was so glad she wasn't angry at him anymore. The way she had looked at him and treated him... it's like it was tearing at his heart. The thought of losing her, was unreal. Kodak smiled as she said she was okay, he kinda felt bad abou the whole shoved her into the wall kinda thing. If he had hurt her, even though he was trying to stay away from Ana, he couldn't think about it. But at her next statement, he couldnt deny it was true. He knew Ana, far better than he knew Lidiya, but if he knew Ana, she wouldn't give up until... until they mated. He knew that once that happened, she would most likely leave them alone. Which was what he wanted, but the whole mating part, he knew wasn't going to happen. He would respect Lidiya's choice, and if that meant they would have to deal with Ana for a whole other year, it was worth it. If Lidoya was happy. Kodak yawned and stretched before answering her next question. "I don't really know, but whatever you want to do, I'll go with you." He said itnwith such sincerity it even surprised him. Sure he needed and wanted rest. But they could still do something. And even as he thought about it, his stomach began to rumble loudly, answering it for him.

Lidiya laughed slightly, nose nudging Kodak's growling stomach. "I think your stomach answered that for you." They had only eaten the day before, but Lidiya guessed running made one hungry. As well as dealing with Ana, really.

Damn, but she hoped she didn't need to see that girl for a while. So evidently interested in Kodak she had unintentionally forced Lidiya to do the exact same thing.

Well, at least she was no longer mad at Kodak. Not like she really was at the beginning really, but Ana had forced that around to be obvious. Which Lidiya would have preferred to do in her own time, but... oh well. The end result was the same. All she needed to do now was to keep Ana away from Kodak.

Banishing the thoughts out of her mind, she trotted out of the den - at which point she stopped uncertainly.

She had no idea where to go for hunting. She wasn't familiar - at all - with this territory and the surrounding grounds for hunting that the pack would usually use.

"Uhh... do you know where to go?" she asked Kodak, looking up at his form, silhouetted against the evening light, his -
- once again thinking unproductive thoughts.

Try as she might, she still hated looking up to Kodak, and sounding like that as she asked her question. Weak. Not knowing. Lidiya was used to being strong and independent, and sounding like that - she didn't like it.

She couldn't know everything, though. She'd have to concede this if she needed to.

Kodak hadn't had food since he was a prisiner I'm the Grey Hill Pack. He had caught a rabbit for Lidiya, but after he caught the fish, and the... incident that happened, he never ate it. So it had probably been a good 3-4 days since his last good meal. He looked to Lidiya, after hearing her question. "On the way in, I saw a prey pile near the base of Alpha's hill. We can see if there is anything left. If not, we can try to go hunting. But if there is nothing we can always just come back here." He turned towards the entrance of the den, seeing if they were clear of Ana. For the time being, they were. Kodak turned back to Lidiya. "Follow me." He said, leading her out of the den and towards the prey pile he had seen earlier. Sure enough, as they got to the base of Alpha's hill, and steering clear of the medics den, there was the pile. About 3 rabbits, four squirrels, and a deer remained. He picked up two rabbits, one for him and one for Lidiya. Dropping one at her feet as she approached. He layed down, taking a monstrous bite into the little creature. The blood gushing into his mouth, and as he bit down on the fresh meat, the hungry began to ease its way out of his body. After he finished his bite, he looked up to the still standing Lidiya, and asked, "Care to join me?" His tail thumping the spot next to him eagerly.

Lidiya approached the prey pile a bit warily, and slightly guiltily, really. She didn't want to be imposing on the hospitality of the pack much more than she had to.

But the food was right there. And Kodak had already set aside a rabbit.

Even though she'd already eaten a day or so ago, that didn't mean she couldn't eat more. Rabbits weren't the best as food, and another one couldn't hurt.

Sighing quietly, she eased herself into the spot next to Kodak, and bit into her rabbit. It was... rabbit-y. Food. Which she honestly needed after doing so much running over the past few days.

In fact, where did the rest of them go? More correctly, Cooper couldn't have given up the chase that easily, most likely. But then... they were probably still a day or so behind. Whatever. Lidiya didn't want to think about it.

Staying silent, she slowly ate her rabbit, watching the sun set, and feeling Kodak's warmth against her flank.

Kodak.

Honestly, she didn't know what she thought of Kodak any more. What his scent did to her. Maybe it was because she was beginning to go into heat - maybe not. Whatever it was, Kodak's scent had always been... different, in a way. And it was still different.

Whatever it was, Lidiya knew one day she'd have to face it.

As she layed down and began to eat her rabbit, he still couldn't stop sending flanges her way. She looked beautiful, no matter what she was doing. Their haunches touching, he felt like he just wanted to lean into her, and just admire her scent. But he knew she didn't think of him like that. And didn't want her mad at him again, so he just finished off his rabbit, and watched her finish hers. Just as she finished though, Ana came walking out of the medics den, and flashed a disgusted glance their way. Kodak crawled closer to Lidiya, and draped his neck over hers, taking in her scent. As soon as Ana was out if sight. He whispered an apology in Lidiya's ear and backed off. He then rose to hisnpaws and gave a small stretch. A yawn escaped his throat, When he turned back to Lidiya. "What do you want to do now? We can always just go back to the den and get some rest, but it's your choice." He gave a small smile at the end of his sentence, his tail wagging back and forth slightly, awaiting her answer.

Lidiya silently cocked her head at Kodak's apology, accepting it. Even though he didn't need an apology. Damn, she'd probably let him if he did it anyway.

Lidiya wished she could tell him he didn't need to apologize. But she couldn't. All she could do was silently nod.

Standing up, she cast a quick look at the orange sun, barely hovering over the horizon, before turning around and sending a slightly regretful look at Kodak. "We should probably turn in now. It's getting late." Without really waiting for prompting - since when was she able to hold her own like this with Kodak? - she started trotting back to the den they'd been allocated.

A silent image of how they'd slept the first night sprang to her mind, and she ducked her head slightly to get rid of it. How Kodak had felt so nice and warm and hers that night-
- believe it or not, Lidiya almost wanted it to happen again. She had liked it, more than she wanted to admit. She was almost scared to admit it, really. And that wasn't her. Lidiya, being scared? Nope.

But around Kodak? Kodak was an enigma, really. Something she'd never encountered before with the way he made her feel.

Now, that was a different case in terms of Lidiya being scared.

Kodak's tail only stopped wagging for a second, but it soon started wagging again as he trotted behind Lidiya, making it to her side before they had made it to the den. He really hoped the two of them could stay here. Kodu was a nice alpha, who seemed to be the as long as you do your job, then I see noting wrong with you type. He had only experienced that for less than a year with his father, then just had to the deal with the opposite with Njord. He would grow bored of chasing him after a while. Especcially after the recent altercation. But he still couldn't get it out of his mind. Hoku, Hiku, and Hokoshiko chasing after him. Trying to take him back, and probably end up killing him. But he knew that if Njord knew that Cooper and Grey Hill were after them, then he would back off. Everyone knew Cooper had no problem killing. Especially the male that took his daughter away. He ducked his head as they entered the den, and by the looks of it the Omega had already given them fresh bedding, no doubt by the Alpha's orders. He went over to his side and laid down, doing his usual three turns then lay ritual. He gave out a yawn, his legs still exhausted from the previous days. His belly now full he could probably sleep tomorrow away, but he knew rhat wasn't possible. He looked at Lidiya, who had not laid down yet. He silently hoped that she, instead, would lay next to him, but the voice in the back of his head just laughed and mocked him. And he knew she never would.
