Flux de Angelis | Cook / Inventor | Mentions: Dallas (dir.) Vas (indir.) Slowly, as Dallas moved around more and more, Flux noted the wobbly way he was displaying. Half tuning out whatever the other man was saying as he tried to decide if he had even been treated by Vas or if he had snuck off during the commotion. He suspected the latter. The clink of the bucket landing on the ground made Flux glance down towards their feet before snapping his head back up to analyse Dallas, mismatched eyes narrowed. “Did you actually let Vas give you anything or did you run away from him? He’s not that scary.” His voice carried the usual light-hearted teasing that he always let sway his words. Flux took a step back to peer out of the room once again before shaking his head, arching his torso down so he could look at Dallas head on. “You still look like you’re a mess, Dallas. I mean, you’ve got blood on your shirt.” His forearm flicked out, flexing as he pointed lazily towards the fabric. “And…I heard a thump right before I came down this way, that wasn’t you as well was it?” Flux pushed, scrunching his eyebrows together, hoping it hadn;t been this clumsy bloke. In all likelihood, it could have been Dallas, he had seen him trip over thin air so anything was possible. In his own case, it was head bumps he went to see Vas about. He wasn’t shy about sending himself to the med bay. It wasn’t his fault he was built like a giraffe.

Shai Mentions: Dir-Vas, Ava, Mylo, Flux, Dallas ~ “No time to knock Vas, I have no arms.” Shai walked over to the examination table and carefully set down their newest patient. “And what’d ya mean causing problems today? I am a saint” He snarked back. Which held some merit. Shai didn’t land himself, or anyone else really, on the examination table too often but apparently it still happened enough that it might become a problem in the future. ~ After setting down the still unconscious Ava, Shai gave the room a quick look around and spotted Mylo on the other examination table. “Geez, Mylo you're here too? It’s a party”. ~ Shai went over and poked Mylo in the shoulder before walking back towards Vas. “Anyway, back to the current matter at hand. No exterior blood flow that I can see, same goes for any bruising. My best guess would be something to do with the gastrointestinal tract, if Ava holding her stomach was any indication. I give you allergies or poison, take your pick”. ~ Shai gave the room one more once over and tilted his head “Have fun with the new patient, let me know if you need anything”. Making his way back to the door, Shai nudged his shoulder against Vasilios’s and gave one last little wave goodbye before re-embarking on his previous mission. ~ The quest to find coffee. Or lack of coffee since Shai couldn’t even navigate his way to the kitchen. At least this time he knew which direction was not the correct way, if his previous endeavor was anything to go off of. So he took a left instead of a right, and came up on Flux and Dallas, the latter not looking too well off. ~ "Hello Flux." Shai peered up at him with a greeting, then immediately looked over to Dallas in concern. "Still bleeding? I should have extra bandages stashed somewhere if you want them? I'll even give you a pack of sour worms if you take something for any pain your in"

Dallas | M: Flux, Shai (indir: Vas) ~ "Vas isn't scary." Dallas reached out with a crooked smile, scraping at an uneven bump on the wall with his fingernail, the repetitive motion keeping his hands busy - keeping them from doing something stupid. "I just have shit to do. Which you're distracting me from, by the way." The words were sharp on the surface, but the tone lacked any real bite; more sarcasm than anything, laced with an ease that only Flux ever seemed to bring out in him. Dally flicked his gaze back to Flux, but the moment he did, his stomach twisted. Not because of the teasing, not because of the wound throbbing at his scalp, but because of the way Flux was looking at him. Not even with any particular malice - just a casual observation, an offhanded remark about him looking like a mess, and yet that was enough to make him want to shrink in on himself. He hated that it mattered. Hated that Flux's opinion carried weight when no one else's did. He tore his eyes away, suddenly hyperaware of himself - of the way his shirt hung loose over his frame, of the streaks of blood that had dripped down unnoticed, of the way his hair had started to escape the hasty wrap he’d tied it into. His fingers twitched before he reached up, scratching at his scalp under the guise of fixing it. He shouldn't care. It was just Flux. Just another crewmate. Just - just Flux. His nose burned, and he swallowed hard against the feeling creeping up his throat, shoving it down with the same force he always did. "I'm fine," he said, waving a dismissive hand as if that alone could banish the tension in his chest. He let out a laugh, light and easy, the kind that came a little too quick to be natural. "It was just a little bump, really. I was startled." And yet, as if his own body was intent on making him a liar, the dull throb in his skull intensified the moment he whipped his head to the side, nearly jumping at the sound of Shai’s voice cutting through the space. He cursed himself for the reaction, his teeth pressing together behind the forced grin he threw in the blue-haired man's direction. "Not bleeding, not really. Doesn't feel like it," he said breezily, as if his sleeve wasn’t already streaked with drying red. He'd barely even registered what Shai had said before catching onto the last part. "I'll take the worms, though!" he added, grinning wider than necessary, maybe a little too eager. Because right now, he'd take any excuse not to think about how easy it was for Flux to get under his skin.

Quillus Xandire / Captain / M: Yutaka Quill's icy blue eye swiveled as the pirate came up. He paused, keeping the other on his left side. It wasn't out of malice or anything, just that the sight of his scar made some uncomfortable and he usually kept them on his "good" side. The pirate looked nervous. He tilted his head to the side, watching Yutaka. "... you're good, what's up?" A part of him was worried for the pirate, scanning them for injuries. But they seemed fine. Just nervous. "If you're worried about a budget or whatnot, there's no worry. We've got plenty," his lips pulled into a sharper smile. "We're pirates... but most of our funds come from bounties, Returning cargo... actual cargo and various other things. We have plenty, don't you worry none."

Flux de Angelis | Cook / Inventor | Mentions: Dallas, Shai (dir.) Quill (indir.) There seemed to be something a little bit off with Dallas, he was twitchy in his movements and was slowly turning red. Maybe he had hit his head harder than Flux had initially thought, which was concerning. More so the sharp movement of Dallas made Flux jump rather than Shai’s appearance, his head whipped around to look at him in surprise before a bright smile adorned his face. Raising one hand he offered up a friendly, short wave. “I don’t think you need worms, I think you need painkillers.” He chided, shooting Dallas a quick glance from the corner of his eye before shaking his head. He wouldn’t listen, he never did really. “Well, if you won’t go see Vas and sit still. I was going to venture off to do some shopping, if you’re interested.” Flux gave his offering up to both Dallas and Shai, but he was more concerned about keeping on eye on the former considering he had wriggled his way out from under Vas’s supervision. “With your own cash though, I’m not pestering Cap with this trip.” He added quickly before they thought they could be off spending Captain’s money, snapping up expensive items left and right. As much as he rather disliked his upbringing on the trading hub, he still had to travel there. Pretty much for anything and everything. Which was very irritating, especially when people recognised him. Even with his switched up demeanor and hidden bionics, some people from his past often recognised him, trying to coax him over to whisper about a new work opportunity. Or rope him into their own scheme. Edited at February 7, 2025 04:41 PM by Urux

Yutaka - Engineer - Mention(s): Quillus ~ Yutaka looked down for a moment, hesitating slightly before speaking. “Cap, the coherence regulator on the engine’s busted itself. The Boze-Einstein 92-P one, you know what I’m talking about right?” Getting more into his element now, he continued slightly eagerly.”The oversaturated oil condensate in chamber four wasn’t functioning correctly, which resulted in a slight clot which-” he reined himself in as he realized who exactly he was talking to, “- uhh… so basically, we need a new coherence regulator, else the engine's not going to work.” he finished lamely. “Do you mind if I fly out on Meliora to the trading post out there and nab another one? Flux needs some stuff for his latest invention too, I believe.” Namely, a compatible polar connection system inlet, among some other things that he’d remember once he got there. “It’s just… might as well fix it now before it gets out of hand, the coherence regulator, I mean.” Not to mention the glaring obvious fact - that he was essentially asking for money, Not just a little bit, either - they were more than a bit of money. Which meant Cap had to approve it first and give him the authorization. Didn’t he love spending a lot of money while doing his job.

Quillus Xandire // Captain // M: Yutaka A small part of Quill was slightly amused at the Engineer's attempt to explain it in common terms. The vast majority of him was largely irritated. "Yes, I know." The coherence regulator which kept the oil condensate in each chamber. Each chamber had to have a separate blend of oil and fuel in order to keep it running smoothly at high speeds--such as light speed. If there was a clot, it meant the fuel to oil ratio was wrong. The oil would get clotted and clumped and the chamber piston wouldn't fire properly--or get jammed up. "I would get a new Coherence regulator and then also look at new pistons. If the clot is big enough, it could've dented the pistons. We'll want to make sure that the piston heads are flat. Otherwise it could lead to misfires and that, ha, that could be catastrophic. An engine not running is one thing, a misfire? That's where it gets bad," he tucked his hands behind his back as he walked, tipping his head to the side as he thought. "Before you go, ask Vasilios if he needs any supplies replenished. Might as well pick up everything you need than make several trips." The captain turned, making his way down the platform. Like he didn't know. His work in the Black Markets led him to knowing engines, ships and every part. He knew about a lot of random things and some of it was just his own personal interests.
