Mylo | M: Quill, Dallas, Vas Mylo had been doing a pretty damn fine job of keeping his pain under lockdown, jaw tight, even, controlled breathing; but the second Vas pressed harder against his side, white hot pain seared through him. His teeth clenched, a muscle in his jaw ticking, and his nose wrinkled as his fingers curled into his pants. "I call bullshit on that so called bit, there Vas." He rasped, voice strained but laced with dry, half hearted amusement despite the way his ribs screamed in protest, "Now would ya quit poking at me." Mylo let out a slow and shallow exhale, keeping his breaths measured. It wasn't the first time he'd ended up with a broken rib, but like with anything else, it didn't make it hurt any less. If he had to describe it he'd probably relate it to a knife, twisting deep beneath his skin; a sharp unrelenting object that flared with every twist and movement he made. And Vas had only aggrivated the injury, it had shifted from a dull ache to raw and searing that sent a sickening wave of pressure through his chest, like something was grinding where it shouldn't be. Mylo just happened to glance in Dally's direction and softly cursed under his breath. "One of these days, that boy is gonna have an actually serious injury, and refuse to come in here." He grumbled before shutting his eyes for a brief moment and let out a sigh, "So what're we working with and how long until I can put a shirt back on."

Yutaka - Engineer - Mention(s): Flux (ind: Quill, Cassiopeia/Ava) ~ Yutaka shook his head, having heard the same noise that Flux had. Casting his eyes to the ceiling as if it would suddenly show him all the answers, he frowned. "I don't know what's going on up there. Not any announed vistor, at least." His mouth was in a bit of a tight line, but he shrugged. "I'll have a quick word with Cap in a moment and I'll head out to the trading post to grab some stuff. So..." he combed his hair with his fingers, transferring the diluted oversaturated oil condensate to his hair too unintentionally, "... I can probably grab some of the stuff you'd need." He nodded in assent with himself. "You could look through the stuff I've got in the engine bay storage too, if that might help." Although he wasn't too sure if he'd have prosthesis parts in there, there might be some things in there that would be useful. Like the microthread receptor processors that were probably hanging out on the second shelf that he used once. Unlike how Flux seemed to be, he wasn't too concerned about the big thump. It wasn't his business. And his mind was whirring with Flux's ideas, not even noticing that he'd dropped the paper. If the all hands on deck call came out, he'd go off and do exactly that. Then he'd probably start getting concerned about the big thump that had rattled the ship. Or maybe if there were multiple more thumps, he'd get concerned. But right now, they seemed to be fine, thump or not. Plus, he was concentrating too much on his shopping list that was was forming in his head. "I'll go talk to Cap about it, and I'll find you once I'm back, alright?" He shot a smile in Flux's direction, then walked off, on the search for the captain.

Shai: Dir-Ava/Cassiopei, Vas - Shai took the other dragon backing away as sign of permission and immediately crouched down near the person on the ground. From what he could tell there was no blood, only what appeared to be stomach pain if the way she held her stomach was anything to go off of. - Shai looked up at the dragon and gave a small grimace. "I'm not sure if our medic will get here quick enough, I'll have to take her to him instead". He began tilting his head back and forth, debating with himself the easiest way to get to the med bay. After coming to a decision, he carefully picked up the unconscious human and motioned the dragon to follow him. "Vas is this way. We should probably hurry". - Shai ran as quickly as he could with a another person in his arms down the numerous metal hallways until he finally reached the one he was looking for. He was still a couple feet from the door when he began to yell, "Vas! I'v got a patient for you and it's not looking good!"

Quillus Xander / Capt / Mylo, Dallas, Vas, Vel With more people in the medic wing, Quill was starting to feel a bit cramped. He stepped back, toward the door again as Dallas went scrambling out. Figured. Heaven forbid that man actually get any help at all. He shook his head lightly. "Not likely--" the man cut off before he stepped out as Shai brought Ava in. Oh that was good. Real good. "Good luck, Vas. You're gonna need it," Quill stepped out again, walking down the platform. Overhead, he could see the dark form of Velyran's dual wings as the beast came in for a landing, settling down to sleep.

Vasilios | Medic/Dr | Mentioned: Mylo, Quillus, Shai, Ava [direct] Dallas [indirect] Watching Dallas's escape from his office, Vasilios was reminded of exactly why he usually had Urchin sit in front of the door whilst treating the man. That bastard. When the cut was infected or otherwise contaminated with metal dust or something carcinogenic, he was sure he'd be dragging him by the ear back to the office. He kissed his teeth disapprovingly, shaking his head. "We're gonna find tha bastard dead under a bed or somethin' one of these days." He grumbled. It would seem Dallas hadn't quite learned the meaning of *preventative* care.
Resolving to handle Dallas later, he did at least appear mildly apologetic for the pain he'd just caused Mylo. "Yer third to fifth ribs are broken," he concluded "the bruising tomorrow's gonna be quite impressive, I fear."
He stepped away, back towards the counter, rummaging through yet another drawer to look for something. Someone had messed around with his organisation - likely looking for some salve or ointment they easily could have asked for. It was getting progressively later into the night and Vasilios's frustrations were beginning to build. He muttered curses to himself as he struggled to find exactly what he was looking for.
Fingers finally securing around a small, round pot, he turned back to Mylo. "It feels pretty bad, we should probably get 'n xray to track the healing progress. Y'know how it is with broken ribs, no heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, all tha shit that's essential to our day ta day that I'm gonna ask you to avoid if possible." He held out the pot. "'s a local anaesthetic, jus' one you rub onto the skin, it'll he-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Shai came shouting down the hallway. "Ya fuckin-- bastard ever heard of knock-" Once again, before he could finish his sentence he cut himself off. He'd shown very little concern to the thump and murmur up on deck as well... They lived with dragons. The dragons were doing loud, destructive sounding shit all the time, he paid most noises very little mind unless multiple people started shouting. People had now started shouting, concern was needed.
"Fuuuuuckin hell." He breathed "Whose this? We're just making problems today, huh? Put her down over here, I'll be back with yer in a moment, Mylo." The medic gestured to the other examination table, never a good day when he had to use them both. Upon Quill's departure he just about managed a nod to the captain, but was very quickly sucked into the chaos of the newest arrival in the room. _______________
Urchin | Mentioned: Tiamet [Direct] Everyone else on deck [Indirect] To her glee, the venomous dragon overhead dropped down to her level. Urchin bobbed her head excitedly, giving the the other dragon an investigative sniff - one with no eyes and the other who could barely see at all, there was some kind of joke here. Also startled by the near-crash landing and the chaos that was beginning to unfold just in front of her, her quills flopped down and flattened. She'd just removed herself from one crowd to immediately end up in another, how dejecting.
Whilst she could have continued to listen and show some concern, Urchin figured that her spiny exterior would protect her from anything that was to happen, so she instead turned her attention back to the wyvern, giving her another joyful head bob. Edited at February 5, 2025 02:20 AM by Eternity

Flux de Angelis | Cook / Inventor | Mentions: Yutaka, Dallas (dir.) Ava, Vasilios (indir.) He gave a hesitant nod towards Yutaka, his plans forgotten for the time being. Investigating the storage of the engine bay could wait, he didn’t like the sounds happening above him. There was most certainly multiple dragons mucking around up there, he wouldn’t be surprised if that stray one was hanging around and causing chaos again. “Yeah, I’ll find you later on.” Flux gave a short response to Yutaka as he walked off down the hallway. As much as he wanted to ignore whatever was going on, he knew he would just worry about it until he found out what had happened. So, not so long after Yutaka had taken off, Flux began down the hallway, stuffing the paper haphazardly into his back pocket with one hand. The paper sticking up at awkward angles from the pocket as he hurried down the path. As he rounded the corner, he was met with the crumpled form of Dallas on the floor. Barely outside of the medical bay and out of Vas’s hands, but he didn’t look much better than when he had seen him minutes ago. “Toffie? What are you doing now?” He questioned, pushing further down the hall towards Dallas’s fallen form. Leaning his torso down, he offered a hand out for him to take a hold of and heave himself upright. “You’re going to seriously hurt yourself one of these days, I don’t know how you’re quite so clumsy.” Flux was grinning over at Dallas, but he was worried about the condition of his brain considering the numerous knocks he seemed to be taking all the time. Peeking past Dallas and into the cracked doorway into the medical bay, Flux’s eyes flashed in surprise at the unfamiliar person being carried about. “Who on earth is Vas seein’ to now?” Tiamat | Mentions: Urchin, Cassiopeia (dir.) Shai, Ava (indir.) Her eyes darted to the more familiar looking human rushing across to the newcomers, dipping down and snatching her up before hurrying below deck. Tiamat wasn’t distracted from the new dragon for very long, she was aware of the others that inhabited this ship. They were known scents to her, she could even recognise a few through her bleary vision. She liked this spiky one the best, but this new one could be dangerous. So far, it seemed as though they weren’t going to do anything at all other than stand there. Her head rose up to its full height, eyes wide as she tried to get a better look, but the spiky one was turning back around to her and dipping her head up and down. With a heavy huff of air from her nostrils, Tiamat turned away from the newcomer and faced the other dragon, tilting her head to the side as she watched the blurry black head jump around. Her eyes trying to follow the movement as best she could, clawed wings shuffling on the wooden plants beneath her, making them creak with effort. Tiamat let out a short huff again, shaking her head dramatically and moving to nudge her nose towards the other dragon. Currently unaware of the sheer number of spikes across all of her body, the ones along her front blended into the blackness, not that a poke from one of them would do much damage.

Dallas | M: Flux (indir: Vas, Quill, Shai, Ava) ~ He nearly hit his head on the desk again at the sound of footsteps, clutching the bucket tightly in his right hand as he snapped his gaze upward to look at Flux. Really, the nickname shouldn't have flustered him. Flux had been calling him that basically since they'd met. But really, at this point, Dallas thought a better nickname would have been "Redface". - Dally took his hand gratefully, feeling the telltale heat creeping up his neck, and he held his hand a little too long before letting go, forcing his expression into a not-so-subtly-sheepish smile. "Supplies!" He replied cheerily, holding up the bucket. - Dallas swayed a little, but he ignored it as he followed Flux's gaze. "Probably some idiot getting back," he remarked. "Or Vas got so fed up with Quill that he threw him into the ceiling and we don't have anything to worry about." But people wouldn't be shouting and carrying women in their arms if Quill was injured - unless Quill got into a fight, of course. - "Weird," Dallas mumbled. He felt pity for whoever it was - he was bad at faces, bad at names, and whoever it was was moving too fast for him to catch it and then register it before they were vanishing into the doorway where he couldn't see them. He wanted to help, but there wasn't anything to do besides stand there and cry because someone was sobbing in pain on a cot, and that got you nowhere other than being shoved into the hallway by Vas because you were in his working space. There was no point to go and check who it was, or whether or not they were alright, because work piled up fast, and Dally now had a horrible headache that would only get worse if he barged into a room with people that were yelling. Let alone the fact that if someone was actually dying, he'd start to cry, and that'd just make the headache worse. He'd leave it alone for now and hope that anyone didn't end up dead. Or hope that no one called for him, although they never did anyway. No one wanted Dallas's company while they were sitting on a cot in the med bay - besides maybe Flux, but he was sensible enough not to end his ass up there too often. - Focus. Work. - But did he want to leave Flux, now that he was here, standing in his room? - No. Not really. - Dallas sighed and sat down on his bed. He'd have to wait until he left. Which may or may not be a long time depending on whether or not he cared about whoever seemed to be hurt, or would prefer to stay in here and pester him. And, honestly, Dallas wasn't sure which one he preferred more. - He put the bucket on the floor just for good measure. ~ ~ ~ Javalasii | M: (indir: Shai, Ava, Dallas) ~ They came, and they went. As usual. Java kept her neck curved, watching the other dragons, and then the two little rats as they scurried away. She turned her head more, moving her neck to rake her tongue over her fur, soothing it and flattening the spikes. No danger. Dally was fine. - The dragon tucked in her hulking wings, settling into a sitting position and settling for flicking her barbed tail back and forth on the wood, watching. Waiting. Sometimes she wondered if being transport and a guard dog was all she was here for. Java didn't feel like much more. - She couldn't complain about getting to stab things, though. Stabbing things was fun. Edited at February 5, 2025 05:16 PM by Lackadaisy

Yutaka - Engineer - Mention(s): Quillus (ind: Flux, Vasilios) ~ Yutaka lifted a hand in farewell to Flux. "Alright, until then I guess." Not waiting for a reply, he strode off in the direction he'd been heading, which was: literally nowhere. He was just wandering around looking for the captain, really. Fortunately - or would it have been unfortunate? - his path took him towards the medbay, where... sheesh there were a lot of people. Including Cap, who was now walking away in the opposite direction. Casting a brief look inside the medbay, where it seemed like absolute chaos - this was a pirate headquarters, not a freaking emergency hospital - and sparing a brief pitying glance at Vasilios, who seemed completely overwhelmed, he took off in the direction of Captain Quill's back, much faster now that he knew where he was. "Captain!" Yutaka shouted down the corridor, jogging slightly to catch up with him. "I... can I have a word?" Now he was here, though, a single thought stabbed into his brain, an implication he should have seen and didn't until now. It made him slow down to a brisk walk, suddenly dreading to ask. Coherence regulators... weren't cheap. At all. ~~~ Meliora - Mention(s): // (ind: Tiamat, Urchin, Cassiopeia, (Shai?, Ava?)) ~ The fun was over pretty quickly, unfortunately. Shai carried the unconscious human - Melie couldn't recognize who they were, but they didn't seem to be doing pretty good at all - into the ship, and the unknown dragon stayed on deck. Tiamat and Urchin had gone and greeted the unknown dragon. Which was fun and all, but Melie didn't make friends that easily. She even knew it herself. She didn't really want to go into the "so great to meet you!" chain that was going on down there. A part of Meliora's mind also told her that they probably shouldn't be swarming around the unknown dragon like this. Eh, but it didn't really matter to her. They could do what they wanted, no? Turning, she flapped away, trying to find the little box that she had been so entertained with earlier. Unfortunately, she couldn't find it among the sea of everything else that was down there. Well, she could certainly while her time away trying. Maybe she could go up onto deck later, once Tiamat and Urchin took off to do something else. She could stake out the new dragon properly then without anyone interfering and pressuring them in any way. Yes, that's what she'd do. But for now? Metal box. Xiomara - Mentioned none "How is it possible that even with having two legs you still manage to fall—on your face" Dagger scolded Xiomara as she was walking and had tripped. "Ow shit not again," Xiomara said placing her hand on her forehead. "Tiny imbecile, tsk tsk come on training waits for no one," Dagger said as he went into the training room. Xiomara sighed before standing up and walking into the room. "Now, the point of a dragon rider is to ride dragons not fall off them," he said "It's not like I fell off on purpose" she replied crossing her arms as she huffed slightly. "The floor apparently isn't my friend today" "What species are you?" Dagger questioned slyly knowing he'd get a reaction out of her. Xiomara was too tired to reply and rolled her eyes before she walked out of the training room. Feeling defeated she went to freshen up and then made her way to her favorite place wrapped herself up in her favourite blanket and admired the twinkling stars. Today wasn't a bad day she just felt like she could've done better. Hopefully tomorrow she'd fall off a little less. She was too tired to check out all the noise she was hearing from her crewmates. "Tiny human, you're just like your brother, stupidly determined and I don't know who gave you your clumsiness, "Dagger whispered before he flew up to his claimed high ground in the room.
