Midnight: Itztli: "I was chosen as the ixiptla, or deity impersonator, some four hundred years ago in a sacrificial ritual for His Majesty during our festival of Toxcatl. This ritual involves cutting the heart out of the chest of the sacrificial impersonator. So, I had my heart cut out. This was also the day I ascended to power as Emperor and High Priest." |
