I use AI for refrences. These are not traced. I've been working on setting up a software that I can record speedpaints on but its proving difficult because I don't have the funds right now and none of them are free.

A small tip since I happened to see: using ai for references is not going to benefit you much unfortunately, from an artistic standpoint: for example, the reference image for the first one I have seen before, and the teeth of it were very anatomically wrong c: using real images as references will ALWAYS benefit you more, and they'll always be anatomically correct! :D
