Vera post was really good, you can't really tell that you had to rush it, gonna try to get an Esther post done soon so we can time skip after that!
You definitely should! I grew up playing the first one with my best friend and then I've spent hours on the second one, it's just so damn good. I've heard rumors about the first one getting remastered, not sure if it's true but it would be awesome if it was and I definitely need to get it if that's the case!
Personally I do prefer the second game because, Arthur. No but also I've played it more first off, the graphics are amazing, endless side quests, collectibles and Easter eggs. The horsies be so well made and guess what? I got the silver dapple pinto, missisouri fox trotter in like the 1st or 2nd chapter once😎 You can play this game for hours and have so much to do without doing a single main story quest, it's just endless hours of gameplay

Vera post was great! It didn't feel too rushed at all :D And excited for Esther! - I grew up playing the first one as well. At first I just watched my dad play it, and the DLC, but eventually I got into it. I think its one of my most replayed games at about 3-5 times? Might be more. I also played The Undead Nightmare DLC, but never got to finish it because the disk broke. TvT If the first one gets remasted I'm 100% getting it I love the second game so much but personally I think my nostalga for the first game might win. I like the more western tone of it and the fight songs were really memorable. Also, the loading screen hits hard and the game cover is just so much cooler- RDR2 got some good ass music too though, Thats The Way It Is and the House Building Theme are on half my playlists. Some really memorable missions like the one with Lenny, ect. I do prefer Authur as a main character for the pure heartstring pulling alone, but John honestly might have the more baddass moments, he was straight up built like a brick wall I honesty didn't play too many of the side quests, I did a couple but that was about it. Also, I didn't pay too much attention to the horses because I had found the horse. Bessie, my gorgeous Kentucky Saddler, I had her almost the entire game and I got so attached to her- and then every playthrough after that I had a kentucky saddler in memory of Bessie TvT I'll have to replay both games side by side to see which one really wins, but I'd say it just depends on people gaming styles which they'd like better - (Didn't realize how long this was- uhh, thank you for coming to my slightly biased short essay on why I like Red Dead Redemption :') ) Edited at August 18, 2023 09:44 AM by Black_Sand

oh my gosh I would love to see a game video essay on the rest of both your thoughts on the game- also, I don't know why but this reminds me of this one western book that was super horror themed and super good. can't remember the name but I have been meaning to read it for a while now...

The one with Lenny and Hosea had me floored, they didn't even really get a cutscene... I had to pause the game and just sit there for a second, Hosea was one of my favorites :/ The one with Sean was also so heartbreaking, oh and the mission where we first met Sadie! Or the mission saving John in the start, that one was good! Like there's so many missions that were just heartbreaking but still so damn good! Or Arthur talking to the nun towards the end. I don't wanna say too much because I don't want to spoil it for you Det but there is just so many good missions and the story is just amazing TvT Going fishing with Jack is such a cute one though! Milton just had to come ruin it... I don't remember too much of the first game so, definitely want to replay it some day but I think the second one will always win for me anyways, yes John is more badass but I feel like you get more invested with the characters in the second game. I've replayed the game so many times and had a lot of different main horses, getting the MFT was so damn hard but I loved her when I had her, also had my boy Norman, a suffolk punch, my grey varnish Nokota, which I think I was so creative that I named her Nikita xD The dark bay Turkoman which I can't remember the name of right now but I loved him too and I also had the black lusitiano once, he was a beauty. Think I had the raven black shire for one play through too and also I think I managed to get my hands on a red roan, can't remember the breed but he was a draft and then I once got my hands on the brindle throughbred, she was so nice too. Beull is cool as hell too but the side mission to get him is a bit sad :/ My favorite side missions might be the ones with the photographer, they are just so nice and cool
If you remember the name then do tell because that sounds like a cool book!
Gonna work on the Esther post now, should I post Will's with hers since we can probably time skip after hers or should I wait until we've done the timeskip?

All of those missions are so good. Lenny and Hosea had me backtracking so hard, and Sean is one of my favorites I did do the Photographer side missions, and I did enjoy those ones! I never got to do the one with the nun, but I did see it in a video and it was so sad TvT I ain't never played another video game that sent me through emotions that bad - Oo, I'd wanna know the name as well, that sounds cool! - Maybe wait about a second before posting Will bacause I have a little title card to add inbetween the two days to keep everything organized. I have it premade so just the second you post for Esther I'll add it in and you can then post for Will as well! Edited at August 18, 2023 11:15 AM by Black_Sand

Alright, sounds good! I don't think Esther's post will be too long so I should hopefully have it done in a few hours, depends on if I have to do anything else in between but hopefully not
