Song; Silence by Marshmello and Khalid
(With some adjustments to the lyrics to better fit characters and avoid as much repeating in some parts)
Characters; Marz, Pippa, Surya, Jarek, and Fiacla
Context; Just a little of the groups trauma and dynamics! Fun little introductions and all that, lmao
I do think I should mention that Surya and Marz were both very much the problem. The others would add to the arguments some sure, but Surya and Marz were really the ones who caused issues the majority of the time. Both threw others in harms way without much care and, at the end of it all, the majority of the group took Surya's side. Point being, Marz was not the innocent one here in any sense, even if he was dealing with his own trauma as well.
---
*We start at the beginning, with each member kind of finding their role after just joining, some more hesitant than others*
Pippa, taking up the peacemaker role after joining the group, terrified of the group falling apart, just trying to keep everything afloat: "Yeah, I'd rather be a lover than a fighter, 'cause all my life I've been fighting!"
Jarek, who's pretty distant from everyone even after joining, mostly just sticking around because they have nowhere else to go: "Never felt a feeling of comfort."
Fiacla, who tries desperately to gain the attention and care of the others, only to back off out of fear, scared of being hurt or rejected: "And all this time, I've been hiding..."
Surya, who quickly becomes rather loved within the group for being a light source and jokester, loving the attention and very much wanting to keep it for himself: "And I never had someone to call my own, I'm so used to sharing!"
Marz, who is somewhat cold to everyone right off the bat, sort of taking control the second he joins but refusing to let anyone get close without lashing out: "Love only left me alone, but I'm at one with the silence."
*A few months after the group fully forms, things already start to go wrong. Surya and Marz start their situationship pretty quickly, only to end up clashing and fighting constantly. The group starts creating more individual relationships, and it's pretty clear quickly that not everyone is looking for the same thing*
Pippa, who insists on trying to form a relationship with Marz, who continues pushing him away, not giving up even when Marz gets violent, going as far as to interject themself into arguments to try and save everyone: "I found peace in your violence..."
Jarek, who's started slowly forming a relationship with Fiacla, growing more determined to protect Fiacla and also regaining their passion for life: "Can't show me, there's no point in trying!"
Fiacla, who's honestly just happy to be recognized, slowly forming relationships with Jarek and Pippa, starting to slowly come out of his shell: "I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long..."
Surya, who basically dove headfirst into a "relationship" with Marz, only to end up hurt the majority time after being with him, angry but also glad that she's finally feeling something: "I found peace in your violence."
Marz, who's mostly just trying to figure himself out at this point, angry at the world and dealing with abuse behind the scenes, but unwilling to give up and just die: "Can't show me there's no point in trying!"
*We jump to a few months before the group falls apart completely, and it's very evident that things are not going well. The fighting has become even more common and everyone's mental health is utter shit at this point*
Marz, who's still dealing with abuse behind the scenes, but refusing to ask for help and instead taking it out on everyone else, just fucking angry: "I'm in need of a savior, but I'm not asking for favors..."
Jarek, confiding in Fiacla, who's become her everything at this point ans is also the only reason they haven't left this shit-show behind yet: "My whole life, I've felt like a burden."
Fiacla, confiding in Jarek, who's his rock now, truely wanting to leave, but knowing Surya and Pippa, who he also cares about, won't leave, at least, not together: "I think too much, and I hate it!"
Surya, drowing in guilt over all the arguments and fights with Marz, not wanting to fight at all, but not knowing how else to get through to Marz, also kinda being gaslit into believing its all his fault: "I'm so used to being in the wrong, I'm tired of caring!"
Pippa, watching Marz, who he's actually gotten quite close to at this point, deal with the abuse, but not knowing how to help when everything they do only seems to make things worse or drive Marz further away: "Loving never gave me a home, so I'll sit here in the silence..."
*Finally, we reach the aftermath of the groups falling out. Jarek and Fiacla leave together, not knowing what to do or where to go, and Pippa runs after a very injured Marz who runs away out of pure guilt. And, uh, Surya... I'll let you figure that one out, haha*
Pippa, running after Marz, deperatly trying to get through to him, honestly angry but unwilling to let that anger through in hopes of making sure their best friend is okay, even if Marz doesn't want to be helped: "I found peace in your violence! Can't show me there's no point in trying!"
Jarek, struggling with guilt, believing that she could have done something to help, knowing they were the only one who could stand a chance in a physical fight with Marz: "I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long... I was lost in your violence..."
Fiacla, trying to encourage Jarek and help them realize it wasn't her fault and everything will be okay: "Can't show me there's no point in trying!"
Jarek, tearing up and shaking their head: "I'm at one, and I stayed silent for too long..."
Marz, struggling, dealing with severe injuries as well as guilt and self-hatred, recognizing with utter hatred that he enjoyed being violent because it made him feel in control for once: "I found peace in the violence!"
Pippa, still following Marz, trying to convince him to get help, refusing to leave even as Marz tried to convince him to leave and let him die as he was "beyond saving": "Can't show me there's no point in trying!"
Marz, shaking his head, in disbelief that someone is still sticking around, finally just giving in and allowing Pippa to half-drag him to get help, just tired: "I'm at one, and I've been quiet for too long..."
