Okay, so this song is literally so Akira coded. With everyone they care about, but Imma use the polycule here, especially Nico and Garvin, because that's what's easy at the moment, lmao But, yeah- - Song: Rescue by Lauren Daigle (With some adjustments to the lyrics to avoid as much repeating and better fit characters in some spots) Characters: Akira. Rest of GRAIN mentioned (Very Nico and Garvin focused) Context: I don't know- Literally, like, all of Akira's character. I mean, genuinely, like most of their angst surrounds the idea of not being able to protect and save everyone. They're constantly doing everything they can to make sure everyone is safe and feels loved. It's both wholesome and heartbreaking, especially considering how much they put their own health aside to do it all. But I heard this song and couldn't pass it up, lol Also, this probably takes place after the polycule's been together for a while, though more specifically after the Andi Arc for Garvin's part and after the Body Arc for Nico's, you know, when Akira feels the most guilt :) Enjoy! --- Akira, watching Garvin with guilt and heartbreak shortly after the Andi Arc, making promises despite Garvin probably not being present enough to hear or understand them at all: "You are not hidden. There's never been a moment you were forgotten. You are not hopeless, though you have been broken, your innocence stolen..." Akira, eyes glossing over as they watch over Garvin's bedside even as the others are either sleeping or have distanced themselves, refusing to leave and struggling with the idea of what Garvin could have possibly been through: "I hear you whisper underneath your breath, I hear your SOS, your SOS..." Akira, gritting their teeth and, yet again making promises that Garvin probably can't even hear, determined to protect him no matter what, even against himself if they can manage: "I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night! It's true, I will rescue you!" *Switching to shortly after or during the later stages of the Body Arc when Nico is staying with Garvin and Akira* Akira, who's been unable to sleep since everything went down, watching Nico across the room, searching for any signs of distress and making silent promises to protect and care for her from now on, guilty and concerned: "There is no distance that cannot be covered, over and over. You're not defenseless. I'll be your shelter, I'll be your armor." Akira, as they later would with Garvin, struggling with the idea of what Nico could have been through, angry with themself for not seeing it sooner or stopping it before it even started: "I hear you whisper underneath your breath. I hear your SOS, your SOS!" Akira, angry, still mostly with themself, but determined to make sure Nico never feels any pain again, even at the cost of their own well-being: "I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night, it's true, I will rescue you!" *Switching to a little after the whole polycule got together* Akira, making promises they're determined not to break, genuinely willing to die for each and every one of their partners, ready to do literally anything for them: "I will never stop marching to reach you! In the middle of the hardest fight, it's true, I will rescue you!" Akira, noting all of their partners insecurities and worries, immediatly altering to better shelter them and ease these things as much as they can, carefully doing what they can for each individual person: "I hear the whispers underneath your breath, I hear you whisper, you have nothing left..." Akira, making promises to protect and love all their partners no matter what; "I will send out an army to find you in the middle of the darkest night! It's true, I will rescue you! I will never stop marching to reach you. In the middle of the hardest fight, it's true, I will rescue you!" |

Okay, so, I have some more information for you and a question. First off... Question. I keep thinking about this and I was just going to say 'eh, we'll see what happens/wait for them to actually meet/wait for 48 Hours' but I actually kind of need to know for River Pactolus and also, my brain is dumb and keeps thinking soooo- Devery and Narin? Not even going to lie here, the whole thought process my brain has with that is- 'Ooo, Devery and Narin, the two bartenders, wouldn't it be hilarious?' - Now for the information! 1) A lot of the alters/headmates from Garvin's two month encounter with a trafficking ring before Rudy, uh, bought him from it... Are dormant. There's really only two that aren't and that's because, while originally part of (what I am calling, just so it's easier to remember everything) the Ring Epoch, were moved into the Midas Sidesystem. Their names? Teddy and Dolly. They're actually very, hm, connected to one another. And, at least back during the two months, more oftenly fronted together rather than separately. 2) Also in the Ring Epoch, but dormant as of the current AFCS, is Ted. Ted was also very connected to the two above but wasn't actually moved to the Midas Sidesystem. Because, well, unlike Teddy and Dolly... Ted isn't a sexual protector. He is a protector though. And just about one of the only alters that don't need to be taught about consent and that saying no is totally an option. Because, uh. That was kind of his job. Actually trying to stop or get away or fight back against all of the abuse. 3) When Ted does come back, because eventually he will, he's absolutely great. And, at least for a very long time, the only one who will actually tell the polycule no when it comes to literally anything sexual. Or shove them away and retreat, moreso. But, well, progress right? |

Yep. Luckily, I have mostly figured out the timeline now Unfortunately, it is like one thing after the other for Garvin. He isn't having a very good time. Like. All throughout it. - They definitely balance each other out, like- It's actually kind of crazy to me how well they balance each other out I kind of want a RP with, like- The polycule, Aries and Briar, Devery and Narin, and like... Maybe a couple of others. Like one more character for you (6 total) and two more for me (6 total) Maybe Lux for you? So we could have Aries, Briar, and Lux? I could do Logan and Euric, because they're honestly adorable but you haven't seen them at all lmao - Glad you like all the information! Admittedly, those three probably won't show up in River Pactolus. But, well. I wanted you to know about them. Especially Ted. Because, well. Definitely helpful to have him around once he comes back. And confusing for the polycule too. Since stuff that they thought had been okay before suddenly are not (everything, everything is off limits, Ted is taking no chances). - I haven't ever heard that song before but, well, I'm inclined to agree anyway because I know the band lmao |
