Lackadaisy Dear god, somebody give Dallas an actual friend LMAO, poor dude. I smell a tragic backstory on 'em. - OKay I'll go answer the questions for Vas, I suppose. Should probably do that. What's your character's favourite thing to do pirate-wise?
"Tchh, pirate? Entirely honest, mate, I'm not really a pirate. Sure, I'm on a giant space ship with pirates but the others are pirates, I'm not. Pirates are all idiots, at least mine are. To play along with ya question though, I like the exploration and the vast amount of people we getta meet."
Vasilios considers himself a doctor/medic above all else, sure he happens to be a medic for pirates but doesn't exactly consider himself one. Despite his overall aggressive disposition, you can definitely see him wince when he thinks another crew member is being too rough with opposition. He's definitely yelled "Fuck off, why'da stab him? That was not necessary!" at least once or twice. Due to this, he doesn't really indentify with a lotta the pirate stuff and prefers the exploration, different planets, different communities, etcetc, he sees this as the best way to advance his medical knowledge.
What's their least favourite thing about being a pirate?
"Gah, my stupid fucking crew. Honest! He's dislocated his arm, she fell off the rigging, he's just an idiot! ..Well, suppose they're alright sometimes. I'd rather they do stupid shit and have somebody to fix it, y'know? I don't particularly like having to be on guard all the time no matter where you go. Constantly having to look out for other pirate crews or the law n all that. Makes it hard to catch a break."
He loves his crew really, he's just grouchy.
Do they have any friends or family members who know and disagree with their choice to become a pirate?
"Got siblings doing all kindsa stupid, lawbreaking shit. Think our parents are disappointed in all of us. Most of my friends I've met through this shite, it'd be a bit odd if they had a problem with it." How new is your character to the crew?
"Too fuckin long. If I spend another second with Quill I'm gonna lose my medical licence."
Vasilios has likely been around since the early days! [Happy to work out the exact details] he doesn't really discriminate in who he provides medicine to, so he's a safe bet for the shady and law-breaking types to recieve medical attention. It's an easy way to meet pirates, hitmen and those in the underground of society. He's got an incredibly extensive network of people around him. Joining Quill's crew gives him a space to see more of the world and in all honesty, help more people. Plus, he's got a bit of a soft spot for the one-eyed idiot and how he manages to bring people together "Through his fuckin idiocy." How did your character meet their dragon? Did they ever think they'd have one?
"Nah. Urchin's insane. Know for a FACT she's eaten people, seen it with my own eyes, thought for sure the bastard was going to be the end of me. This thing appeared in my nightmares, genuinely. Sometimes still does. She's a sweetheart, really, though. Starvation doesn't treat anyone kindly. As for where we met.. Ehhh, another day? After some drinks maybe? It's a long story." |

Answers for Mylo If everyone is being honest, Mylo doesn't really like any of the normal space pirate things but if he had to choose it'd be hanging out with his dragon, Stardust. His whole life he's been fighting, raiding, stealing, killing, typical pirate things and he got tired of it years ago, but what choice does he have? Him and Stardust have to eat and this was the easiest way to do it, and at least here they have people they can somewhat trust. And it may not be something typical to being a space pirate, but his favorite moments are the days when everyone except the lookout and Quill are asleep. The moments when he can lay against Stardust on the deck and look up at the stars. The moments when he can breathe without worrying if his breaths are loud enough to give him away, when he can close his eyes and not have to fear that he'll wake up to a knife in his chest. There isn't a really a least favorite part of the job for Mylo, it's pretty normal. Steal things, kill people, etc, it's everyday life and Mylo's become kind of numb to it. Family? The only family Mylo had ever known were frowned upon women, a brothel that he had been born into. When you were already at the bottom, where else is there to go than up? Mylo's "family" had been busted years ago, split up decades before so he doubts any of them know or care. Mylo helped Quinn form the group so he's one of the oldest but also not perfectly apart of the crew. He prefers to remain on the outskirts, close to some but a shadow to others. Mylo found Stardust as a young teen and took the dragonet in. They were both a little lonely so why not be lonely together? |

ET, - Dallas's normal backstory? Not that tragic. Some neglect, some accidental killing of his favorite person in the world that he always blames himself for, but nothing that horrible. - His pirate version backstory, though? You'd be suprised that the worst thing he is is clingy. |

Fighting with other pirates? etc etc Quill's blanket answer is riding dragon, being with others. His real, secret answer? Hunting down pirates . What's their least favourite thing about being a pirate? I don't think Quill has a least-favorite part. Aside from... the thing. Do they have any friends or family members who know and disagree with their choice to become a pirate? Do they feel like they had a choice at all? Quill's past-past before pirating is less known. If known at all. How new is your character to the crew? Have they been around since the early days, or are they new and still learning to fit in? ... well... How did your character meet their dragon?
