The useful foods that'll last infinity years are: oats, uncooked rice, honey is immortal, le dried beans, some kinds of canned goods (but some of 'em might be rusted by now and big no-nos), sugar is also immortal, vinegar, corn starch, annnnnd I think that's it.

ThisIsAPackName said: Well, according to the google search I just did, uncooked rice, energy bars and dried beans are all fair game for eating anytime. So I guess so long as the characters have a pot on hand, they should be able to find those commonly enough, maybe.
I did a google search as well, it also says that honey, popcorn kernels, whole grain, and Spam doesn't expire. Oh, and hard alcohol, too. I might be wrong though. Edited at September 5, 2021 09:59 PM by Glacialis

queen. said: so i sorta had this idea as to why chris is actually staying in the group instead of him just telling himself it's for survival.
in icarus is the killer of his mother - word of their existance there got to him through his previous group, which he would've stayed with if they didn't all disperse and go on their own paths. however, staying with the escorts and sadie would be a better call in the long run considering icarus is their destination. the killer would be nobody important other than another mission for chris - this will keep him preoccupied, and might as well become his main priority considering he doesn't like sadie as much compared to the others.
lemme know if this would be allowed lol
'Course it's allowed. It's drama. We love drama. Imagine if the murderer is a higher-up—

Yeah, alcohol is also immortal. Everyone can get drunk without the risk of food poisoning.

that's what i was thinking. like some sort of second-in-command or even heir(?) if that's what you wanna call it lol
just someone important, at least. i just wasn't sure. i might make a small little note in chris' affiliations regarding this person about them, just sorta depends.

Except for Aurora and Sadie, cause, y'know... they're 15 & 16 lol. Unless laws don't apply in their world in which case, yeah!

Hmmmm, if we want to think about access to food we could think about planting seeds by searching for some if the store or somewhere seeds are kept hidden and stored. I know some universities if not already looted may have some. Maybe even government facilities such as old military camps and whatnot. If we gathered the right resources we could also make food like bread for example. I don't know, that's just a suggestion, which takes time of course. I just wanted to put the option out there. It could be important especially since it's been 15 years mind you. Lol

Oh, the law in their world isn't what's stopping us.

I was thinking of making Icarus' current overseer be old and dying and all that shit, so, yeah, the murderer could 100% be the next-in-line.
