That kind of thing happened to me too! Got a divine health wolf from my starter wolves, and then got Unparalleled Learning girlie.
But it is infuriating when actually trying to breed for the boosts wolves, especially in this months I am getting not as lucky as I used to

He might be M I S E R Y's character's boyfriend, which could make for an interesting dynamic if their character is a lil bit possessive :0 but that hasn't been confirmed yet ^^
