I believe I started properly creating characters and role-playing online about four years ago? I haven't always been this literate though, I was normally semi-lit.

I just started rping a few months ago...I stink compared to all of you "senior rpers".

To think I used to be shit at writing, I must say some of yall still makes me feel like my writing is still shitty.

It's just time and how much time you put into it. Writing is like any other thing - practice helps, and eventually, perfection or close to it.

My first roleplay helped me to be more social on this. Before that pretty much no one knew of my existence on here.

So, yeah. Roleplay is my life now :3

@Bear Claw: I haven't RPed with you much yet, but I've heard good things about you and your stunning posts in literati RP such as roabman and furrie never fail to brighten my day. On a more serious note, Magpie man was excellent. I hope there'll be more opportunities for us to RP together in the future!

@Bluemoonvalley: I love your fresh simplicity and clear, straightforward storytelling. It's rare to evoke emotions from me but somehow you do it. Your characters are easy to emphatize with, and one thing I particularly admire is that you flesh out familial relationships more than I typically see here. You and your characters have a spirit of curiosity that's absolutely contagious to me and keeps me interested in what would happen next! Thanks for being a most patient and good-humored partner.

@Red Queen: One of my top inspirations for roleplaying and writing in general. I've read basically everything you've written on this site, even though I don't usually gravitate towards historical / realistic fantasy, with you, everything's epic. Your characters have intricate and detailed backstories that are so deeply interwoven with the setting that they mutually animate each other. Not to mention the lurid imagery and the metaphors. A lot of your characters have this ferocity or ambition and it's refreshing to see such traits not being portrayed as evil or detrimental. You've a talent for creating tensions and are able to touch on themes such as war and tragedy in a very mature way. Also, you were one of the first players I remember to have nice formatting on signups so you're basically a trendsetter.

@Corax Noir: I've said this before but this can't be said enough times: color me impressed by how much and consistently you can write without losing quality or inspiration. Your storis always have this whimsical feel, a touch of the absurd that brings me to another dimension but is just subtle enough to make me think it could happen, in this world. You really show instead of tell. Your RPs are always unique and don't fall into the basic tropes commonly seen on WP.

In a way I see RQ and Corax as inverses because one I associate with a dark and gritty magic, the other with a fantastical feeling that's somehow familiar. I don't think this whole ramble of mine made much sense but oh well.

I have more compliments for others, but I just don't have the means to word properly for now. Stay tuned because I won't stop.

Also! I am immediately in awe of anyone who makes nicely formatted signups and can find nice bio dividers / pixel art / pictograms because I do not have that skill. I'd literally hire someone to do that for me. Whenever I browsed Deviantart before I was bombarded with fetish and cringe stuff so I am afraid of going there now.

I rarely go on there. it's just...how to call this?

I managed to find a person with a folder of nice gifs and such, there are some nice dividers there as well. I don't use them in RPs as it sometimes gets a little too much (if they're too large), mainly in my bio. If you want, I could PM you about them ^^
