While in this form, Achlys takes on the appearance of an enormous, eight-foot long inland taipan. She is covered from her rectangular-shaped head to the tip of her thin tail in pitch black scales, which allows her to move without being seen at night, while sticking out like a blossom in a mud puddle during the day. As a snake, she has a powerful, wide body that thins into a small sliver at her tail, causing it to be much more slender than the rest of her. She’s got two long, shining white fangs that harbor a deadly venom capable of bringing death upon a victim.

Appearance:

Achlys is of an above average height for a seventeen year old, standing at 5'7. Her long, slender legs make up most of her height though, with her torso being of an average length. Her lower legs and arms do not have much fat on them while only holding little muscle; Achlys is built for speed. Her feet as well as her hands are small, with boney, lengthy fingers and short, stubby toes. Both her fingernails and toenails are rather sharp while not being overgrown or nasty. Achlys's thighs and upper legs are the most muscular parts of her body; this allows her to run at high speeds even without transforming, granting her the ability to be able to surpass any normal human while sprinting. She's also got amazing agility, being able to evade and dodge incoming attacks with ease if need be. Her decreased physical strength, though, is the cost of her other heightened stats. She could easily get pinned down or knocked unconscious with a single blow in human form, so she must rely on pure skill, combat experience, and her ability to transform to get herself out of a fight alive. Her stamina and endurance aren't worthy of praise, either; she gets exhausted quite quickly.

Achlys has thin, feminine, unmuscular arms. The bones in either of her wrists seem to pop out of her skin, which is littered with small scars and nicks. Larger marks crawl up this sixteen-year old girl's arm, most being long, red, and nasty. Achlys's shoulder blades are visible beneath her skin and clothing, which leads to her small, pore-covered chest. It's flat and like the rest of her body, Achlys's chest isn't made up of much muscle. Her armpits lack hair as does any of the areas around them.

Achlys has ribs which do not stick out of her skin, but are able to be felt beneath it. She could be considered emaciated, while others would just call her thin. Her abdomen isn't very muscular; in fact, it has one long, large scar that goes across it but isn't quite lengthy enough to go around to her back. Speaking of her back, Achlys's spine can be seen going down her back, though just barely. The skin on it is a pale, dull tan color and of a roughish texture, the same as the rest of her body. This girl's lower neck has a slight bit of muscle on it but quickly grows narrow and scar-covered as it goes up to her medium sized, roundish head that may be the only part of her body that resembles that of a young girl’s

Achlys's chin is rounded, and above it lies her mouth. She has pale, pink lips with little to no scarring. The inside of her mouth and gums are devoid of wounds, too; and surprisingly enough, her teeth are shining white with no traces of any plaque or grime on them. Her nose is small and very feminine, though it's slightly boney. Achlys's cheek bones are rounded and don’t jut out of her face, and the skin is covered in a thin blanket of acne, which spreads up to her forehead. It's rather mild, though, and her small forehead is shielded by her medium-length, black bangs. Achlys's hair is well-taken care of, resulting in pure, black, glossy hair that goes down to her thighs. The ends of it have been trimmed perfectly and are groomed on a daily basis.

She isn’t completely lacking in scarrage on her face, though, in fact she has quite the long mark that goes all the way down the right side of her face, only stopping when it reaches the top of her neck.

For animal features, this girl is fairly exotic. Achlys has a set of fluffy black ears on her head that closely resemble that of a wolf’s, though that isn’t all. A long, shaggy black tail also sticks out from her which she’s able to move as she likes. However, the rest of her animal attributes don’t bear a resemblance to that of a wolf’s. In fact, she isn’t even of that species. Rather, Achyls has two lengthy, blade-like, venomous fangs in the front of her mouth, making her look more like a snake. She’s also got a bit of black-hued scales around her eyes and eyebrows, though they’re so slight that they’re almost unnoticeable.

Lastly, Achlys's eyes are icy, piercing, cold blue slits. Staring into them is like looking into an empty void, but when Achlys stares at you, then it'll feel like her eyes of glacier are burning right through your soul.

Personality:

Achlys’s personality is somewhat difficult to put into words, as it is more of a cluttered, confusing mess than anything else. On one hand, this girl is more of a loner who likes to put in her very best effort to avoid people, especially if it’s in an attempt to socialize with her. However, Achlys also acknowledges the undeniable fact that she is a leader; therefore, she’s forced to talk to people if she doesn’t want to give up her rank. So, when she has to interact with somebody about important matters or must hear a report from a returning patrol, she’ll do it. But, Achlys’s words tend to come out later than she would like them to, as she always second guesses herself or ponders what to say. She’s very awkward during a casual conversation as well, and can never seem to shake the feeling of anxiety rising in her chest. It bothers her, and makes gaining friends very difficult for this teenager.

Achlys is very secretive with the tendency to be sly and devious in order to get what she wants. She’s very good at eavesdropping in order to attain information, as being able to shift into a snake, she’s naturally sneaky and quiet. It’s not surprising that she’s extremely knowledgeable, both in useful information and random, unrelated facts. She may even know more than any information broker. Despite how shady she may seem, though, she always acts with the intent to benefit her group and those close to her. She always works alone gathering knowledge, so nobody has found out about what she does.

Achlys’s trust is something that is hard to gain and hard to lose. Since she isn’t exactly talented at socialization and likes to swerve clear of unimportant conversation, she’s always put into an awkward place when somebody tries to befriend her. However, with effort and time, Achlys will start to warm up to a person and become oblivious to their flaws or wrongdoings. So, even if one makes a slip-up, Achlys simply looks past that if she’s friendly enough with you. She’ll slowly start to open up, revealing her more childish, innocent side.

Achlys is, after all, still a kid. She has a rare to see, happy-go-lucky side in contrast to her normally secretive, anxious demeanor. She isn’t really as mature as she makes herself out to be, and still has a sense of youthful innocence that can be described as plainly and simply as adorable. Achlys hides a bright and cheerful smile behind the serious frown that she usually wears. However, she prefers to hide behind a front in order to meet people’s expectations of her as a leader and to not show any weakness in the face of adversity. Deep down, she cares about her group and wants to see them thrive, even if she has to hide behind a mask to achieve that.

Achlys isn’t the greatest at solving conflict between groups, as she believes that violence and bloodshed is a good solution for everything. She doesn’t quite realize that taking the lives of those that oppose you doesn’t always solve your problems. But, that’s probably because of the fact that this girl enjoys the thrill of a fight; sometimes she feels like she can’t get enough of it. Achlys is immensely skilled as well as a deadly opponent with a blade, and typically uses a knife as her main weapon. Her skills, paired with her agility makes her seem unbeatable until you realize that her stamina wears out in mere minutes.
