Name:
Jorah
Age:
Seven Years and then some...
Gender:
Male
Species:
Grizzly Bear
Appearance(at least one paragraph):
Like all bears, he is a large creature, standing just over four feet at the shoulder. He is a muscular beast, strong shoulders and arms, with plenty of weight to throw about to boot. Like most of his species, he bears large shoulders primed for lifting heavy things, forcing his body into high speeds, and acquainting anyone who dares raise his ire with the buisness end of his large paws.
Claws. Those large sharp things nearing three inches in length. Yes. Not that he is keen on using them unless provoked, but bears often do hold short fuses.
His fur is a coppery brown upon his face, running down the spine and to the hindquarters, with it darkening down his body to his legs. Around his neck, underbelly, and legs his fur becomes a deeper brown almost a dark earthy muddy color. Be it from dirt and debris or just a natural color is up to debate...
Jorah has very soulful eyes. A dark brown, nearing black to the point that it becomes difficult to differentiate the iris from the pupil. Still, you can find his soul within these gateways.
All bears are easy to read. Not many have much to hide.
Personality(at least one paragraph):
Jorah is a very simple bear who intends to live his life to his best ability, to the fullest.
He cares not for the affairs of other animals so long as it doesn't negatively effect him, he cares not for humans either. Besides, most fear a creature like him. Matter of fact, he finds it amusing when he mingles with other creatures. The idea of someone like him making Man and Beast squirm just tickles him, Oh Joy!
Jorah seems to not really fear any repercussions for his actions. Like many bears, they are straight forward creatures, if Jorah likes something he will pursue it. Though this does mean he sometimes finds himself in precarious situations at times... Humans are oh so fond of their firearms when they see him stomping about in the forest or near their Self-Made Caves... But who is he to leave perfectly good food sitting in those weird metal cans?
A rather weird aspect of Jorah is his total lack of fear when it comes to humans. Most animals are either fearful or vengeful of them for destroying their lands, some are just indifferent, but Jorah doesn't fear them. No, they are an opportunity. They are strange creatures, very vocal and social with one and other... Like birds!
Yet these featherless birds stay on the ground, they don't fly off. So odd. That and their strange contraptions they always carry about. Most peculiar, Jorah more often than not can't control his curiosity. Oh and let us not forget the large assortments of food they always seem to keep on them! Yes, there is no reason to harm them when all they do is throw him food and then run the other way. So kind of them to gift him there wonderful presents. Bananas are a special treat. If only his animal neighbors offered the same courtesy. No, most are rather passive aggressive. Ugh, don't get him started on those wolves... So uptight and paranoid.
At this point, Jorah seems harmless and for the most part he is. He has no reason to be violent. It has been many years since he has encountered anything that can actually harm him asides from those weird metal boxes humans ride in, but those are easy to avoid. Don't go near those black stone paths. Jorah thinks that causing unnecessary pain is foolish and a waste of energy. Every creature in the Wilderness is already struggling to survive, why make it more difficult? His Mother taught him better!
Maybe that's why he mooches off of humans? If they keep taking, then surely they have plenty to spare?
Regardless, Jorah only ever gets aggressive when he feels he is genuinely in danger. Flaunting power is just foolish.
You most definitely would be compensating for something...
Strengths:
He is a large, muscular, and powerful creature.
His natural stature is intimidating for most creatures who don't actually know him... Those who do all know it's just for show.
Weaknesses:
Ignorance at its finest! Jorah isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, a rather dense individual. He has issues in social situations picking up certain cues or reading situations. Most metaphors go right over his head. That's not to say he is dumb, he is pretty crafty at times, but only when he actually understands something. Jorah living a mostly solitary life has had to draw conclusions about life and the things around him by himself, on many occasions he just seems to be wrong. Frustratingly enough, he is too stubborn to really listen half the time to a correction.
His lack of fear can sometimes lead to dangerous situations. While he believes he is nearly untouchable, a well place shot from a gun, starvation, another bear, or a wide variety of things could certainly be the end of him. He lacks responsibility, the backbone to truly push himself to extremes for survival. His pacifism always lands him on the back foot in situations that could be life threatening.
*Likes:
Sweet Things; Humans occasionally throw him things like chocolates, muffins... The works. Hell, one time he even gotten a can of Cola before. Granted, it smacked him in the forehead when that one human tossed it at him, but it still tasted rather good. Don't eat the outer shell though... Why humans coat there liquids in tin will always confuse him.
Books; While he can't read much of the humans gibberish sprawls aside from small bits and pieces, it's the drawings that captivate him. He'd never heard of an elephant before until seeing an image of one while rummaging through a human's metal waste bin. They show him a much bigger world than he's ever anticipated. Fills him with wistful optimism at times...
*Dislikes:
Dogs; They are such territorial little buggers. Always paranoid of strangers and yapping up a storm. Not to mention they never travel alone... Wolves do the same too! Don't get him started on those uptight lunatics! Always so dramatic.
Loud Sounds; They hurt his ears... Enough said.
*Backstory:
What do you think?
Just your average bear living his life to the best of his ability... Nothing very special.
Other:
Boom.
I broke the grey wolf wheel.
