Like the image I want to use has the original artist's credit in the image itself... Also, what's free stock? I tried googling it but Google didn't make much sense to me
Yep, you can use linearts if you credit the original owner!

Anime characters would come under both fandom, which is copyrighted, and humanoid art. So no, it's not allowed.

I tried googling it but Google didn't make much sense to me free stock are images, almost always photographs, that can be used for free according to the artist/photographer - you can find these kinds of images on deviantart searching up "stock images [the thing you want images of] free/f2u"

Can you mark the face out? If it is a shapeshifter??? ataciara said: Mewni said: I was wondering if there's a specific reason why human art/pictures isn't allowed on the site?
Human characters/images are ALWAYS inspired be a real person or are images of a real person; the human brain cannot make up faces, before anyone comes at me for that first part. Every face you "create", you've seen before. People have a right to decide how their images can be used, and probably wouldn't like you using their face on a website for roleplay purposes. The images also very likely are not yours (photography, not art), so you wouldn't have the rights to them anyway. For art, just refer to my reason above <3

as long as no identifying features are present, you can use the image; though, that kind of defeats the purpose of using art to represent your character if it's a real person, then that very likely would not be allowed, since it's 1) not stock and 2) you don't own or have permission to use the image <3 I've posted human art before in one of my examples, but had to mark out the face, so as long as it's your art or you have permission to use it, you should be OK if that rule is followed but I'd PM a mod and double check just to be 100% sure Chosen Ones said: Can you mark the face out?
