frick my heart who needs one
Jason wrapped his arms around Addilyn. He didn't know she had a brother, but right now, that didn't matter. They both had secrets buried deep down - it couldn't be helped. So, Jason held Addilyn, and with one movement (my inner demon wanted me to write sliced her head off) scooped her up. Addilyn was so light, it didn't strain him to carry Addilyn back to her house. It was not, Jason told himself, home. Home did not make you endure what Addilyn went through.

She did tell him she had a brother though... but she thought he was dead..because he got ripped out of her mother's stomach when the kid was a baby..I explained this already XD go back to the long paragraph about her backstory lol, also. You insane child...I secretly do that a lot too but shhh))
Addilyn buried herself in Jason's warm embrace. Tears slipped down her cheeks onto his shirt. Little sobs racked her body and she clung to Jason with tiny hands. She felt so small and useless in that moment. Not because of Jason, but because she had failed her duty as Destan's big sister. Destan was what her mother had planned on naming him so that's who she addressed him as in her thoughts. She should've searched harder for him. Commanded people to tell her what they knew. Used her powers as an advantage. But she hadn't, and Destan had been stuck her all alone for such a long time. Without a sister, or mother, or father. Without anyone to love him and tell him it was alright. Addilyn had failed him.

All Jason could do was hold her tight, murmuring words he wouldn't remember, but knew would help. That was all Jason ever wanted to do - help Addi. Help her until she didn't need help anymore. Until everything was okay. Jason just wanted things to be okay again. Edited at June 17, 2019 09:07 PM by bumblebee

And things would be getting better soon. This was just one dark spell in the ocean of life. Things had to get better. Addilyn wanted nothing more than to be with Jason for the rest of eternity. He held her here and didn't think she was week or anything. He just saw her for who she was, and loved her anyways. Those were her final thoughts before she (died lol) fell asleep in his arms. Eden looked at the bridge. Ages ago, she had been stupid enough to think a witch town wouldn't be protected. That humiliation stayed with her a long time. Eden would not be repeating that incident again. Ever. So, Eden waved the coven on, and luckily, it was a very sunny day. She moved the light and hardened it, making a bright bridge for them to walk over. Rosemary and Zara, who was holding the child, were right behind Eden as they casually strolled across into the city.

Jolon felt the coven come into his domain. As he could with all the place he had set his own magic around. It wasn't a barrier per say, it was just places where he had laid his own magic. So he knew exactly who entered his territory. Just like when the powerful young Addilyn entered. He had immediately felt her aura, and on top of that, how her level had skyrocketed from when he last saw her. He wondered if she'd broken the glamour yet, though it was hard to break a glamour you had no idea existed. The arrival of the coven is what made him teleport over to his border city. And he brought the boy with him. Jolon never called Destan by his name. By now, the boy was used to it. Better that than hearing his name come out of Jolon's foul mouth. He really didn't know what he was being brought to the border city for. He was of no use there. Plus, his appearance meant nothing to the magical folk, even at the meek age of six Destan knew that. So why was Jolon wasting his own energy by teleporting them both over there? Addilyn felt it, felt it in her very bones as 4 powerful magic users suddenly entered her old town. Even in her sleep, the shock of it woke her. Making her bolt upright in her bed. Green eyes suddenly turning very light before shifting back over to their normal green. She internally scanned the people in the area when finally, she felt him. Jolon. He was here.

Eden, Rosemary, and Zara knew that no ruler would let three powerful witches pass through unless they knew who they were. Jolon did know them, and hopefully it would be a simple passing through, with no delays. So, the coven expected to run into the dictator that was Jolon, but wouldn't let that deter them. Eden strolled along with purpose, with Zara behind her, so the child would be protected. Jason felt Addilyn sit up, since he had stayed here, as there wasn't really a place he had been told to sleep. He sat up more slowly, but still with urgency, "Addilyn?" He murmured softly, confuses,

Jolon was unfortunately stuck with the boy. Then again, technically it was just part of his master plan. So it was his fault he supposed. He instructed the boy to stay exactly two feet behind him and don't even try to run. Jolon was greeted on the other side of the portal by Andrés and his bondmate, someone Jolon didn't care enough about to know the name of. She didn't matter. The two kneeled on the ground, when they stood up, Jolon noticed a dark bruise on Andrés' jaw. He grabbed the young man by his chin and inspected the mark. The faint trace of a powerful aura covered the mark. "Damn kid, she really got you huh?" Andrés winced as Jolon pressed a little to hard on the mark. "The coven is here, as expected. Take me to them." Andrés nodded, not talking as you were supposed to do the day after being beaten by someone more powerful than you. In this case, Addilyn. Destan quietly trailed behind. His deep brown eyes staying firmly on the ground. He didn't want anyone seeing them, especially his mean cousins who would find them funny. The group approached the coven. Meeting them basically in the middle of town. Andrés gave one last small bow to Jolon before disappearing, giving Destan a small smile and wave before disappearing. "Patético," was all Jolon said to his other grandson. Sick and tired of his useless grandson. It was pathetic. Finally, Jolon turned his annoyed expression to the powerful three in front of him. His eyes were a rather light shade of green, though, at this point he believed that if he took the glamour off Addilyn her eyes would be the lightest green possible. "It is a pleasure to see you three- ah, four I see. Again. What brings you to my humble little border town?" Jolon's face seemed calm but his eyes were icy. They hadn't changed it years. Addilyn was already slipping out of the bed. Her face set in grim determination as she grabbed clothes to hurriedly change into from her closet. Her back facing Jason. "Sorry I woke you. Jolon is here, I can feel him." She winced, hating how closely she was tied to that horrible man. Close enough to him to feel his aura. His powerful, powerful aura. "I have to see him Jason. I have to get my brother back. I-I can't just let Jolon get away with kidnapping my little brother." Addilyn slowed down a bit, a small shake going through her body before she returned to her task of grabbing clothes out of her closet.
