Sundew noticed how Frosty was reacting to this topic. "Well.." She said " do you want to do somthing? My wing seems good enough for a short flight...-if you could leave the eggs for that long... " she trailed of a bit on the last part.

"Unfortunately I can't, hatching eggs is a tedious process. It prevents you from doing a lot of fun stuff." I said disapointed

"Well... Ok" Sundew shrugged, then blinked "is it ok if I go hunting..? I can bring you something if you'd like?"

"That would be lovely," I piped up happily, normally food between meals isn't provided unless you catch it yourself.

"Ok!" Sundew itched to be back in the forest . She spread her wings and leaped into the air. Their wings beating hard, once she found an elevation that she liked she opened her wings as far as they could go to catch a current then looked down at the forest below. It was mostly green though the very tops were changed to the fall colors of red and orange. She was looking for something - a deer, maybe. Hopfuly there was something not to big or to small. Finally she saw a gap in the tree line a clearing with a deer. It was small and it looked old but it was alone and that made it easy prey. Quickly and quietly she tucked her wings close and dove, spreading their wings out at the last moment and catching the prey in her talons.

I shifted the eggs again, trying to sense which ones might be dead. It was still a bit early for anything to be decided.

Sundew lifted of the ground the deer held in her front talons. She flew the short distance from were she was to were Frosty 's den was. She spred her wings, and landed in the entrance. "Hi" she said

I was excited "hello," I said carrying out the o. I was visibly happy, if I wasn't on a clutch of eggs I would probably be doing a happy dance.

Sundew sliced part of the deer of with her claws. Nudging the other half towards Frosty.

"Thankyou!" I said happily eating up the food, my tail wagged a little as I ate.
