Mayhem was half out of it, her eyes glazed with fear and panic. She couldnt think straight and struggled to hear, but yet the determined canine tried to get up, but staggered back over with a thud.

Aries was the only medic in te pack. " Its ok little one. Everything will be ok. " He spoke gentle words as he worked to figuare out what was going on with her " Oh dear oh dear" he said a while later. " Its because of the abuse of those humans..." he said to the Alpha

" Will she live?" He asked in a worried tone, looking at Mayhem

" Yes she will, but she will need the love that she never got with the humans, and you my king, are the ony chance."

Aries left eh den and River wrapped himself around Mayhem to keep her warm, his head on her back. Protecting her."

Mayhem whined, she didnt move from her spot on the ground. When River curled around her she nuzzled her face into his fur.

" There there now, Mayhem. Your gonna be just fine" River sid licking her gently. Ash came in a little while later and brougt in a few rabbits " I thought she would need this"

Mayhem's eyes were closed, and her breathing was quiet and labored. Hopefully she'd recover from this.

Ash sighed " Alpha.. im sorry I was eman to her a while back.. I didnt mean to be. I.. I hope she gets better soon. I can see she emans alot to you."

River chuckeld " She does in deed, Ash. I forgive you. Just dont let it happen again. Now run along. I need to be alone."

Ash bowed his head and then walked out of the den to let them have some space

" What happened to you my dear" River asked as he groomed her slowly and kept her warm now that the slow began to fall.

Mayhem's eyes eventually flickered open, the dog in the same state of panic. She was afraid, she was afraid of the humans. Even if they weren't there, Mayhem thought they were. She thrashed around, yelping as if she was being pulled somewhere.

River sighed " Mayhem, darling.. relax."

Aries came back " Is she any better, Alpha?"

" No of course not, Aries." River snarled " What did you give her?!"

Aries pulled his ears back " Mint and ginger.. I have seen this before, Alpha... I thought it would help."

Soon, Mayhem recovered from her little episode. She softly raised her head, grumbling. The dog glanced around. This wasnt where she was before, and it was cold.. but it wasnt them. Humans.

" She's hilucinating" River said

" I know... it will wear off by tonight. Best if you keep her here."

" DOnt tell me what to do, Aries" River growled " Go.. do something else ... ill call for you if I need you again" he wrapped himself a little tighter around Mayhem and whined " Mayhem come back, please"
