Rowan shook her head, but a corner of her mouth was raised in a smile. "Ready buddy?" Frost bobbed his head, happy Rowan was staying with him. Then, Rowan turned to the faeries. It was still strange to her that there were people who could fly. |

A few faeries followed Alvaro up into the sky while two of them stayed on the ground. Both sending wary glances into the woods. No faerie trusted the woods, not anymore. Alvaro meanwhile was flying as fast as possible back home to the town. |

Rowan quickly checked with Frost, then told the faeries, "You guys can fly. We will ride behind." Rowan figured that would put them more at ease, since the sky is their element. |

The two faeries looked slightly relieved and nodded to Rowan. The jumped off the ground and allowed their wings to hold them up in the sky. "Ready ma'am?" Faeries were always polite, it was just how they were and they rarely ever changed that. Alvaro has already made it to the medics despite his exhaustion. It had been his trusty wings who'd allowed him to make it. The medics asked a few questions before going to work on the young boy's injuries. From there, Alvaro made his way to Kori's house. Now he was really tired. |

Rowan nodded, and in a fluid movement was on Frosts back. She adjusted her bow on her back, stroked his neck, then looked back at the faeries, "We are ready - you'll need to lead us there." |

The guard faeries seemed ready to get home. Both rather anxious looking. They gave Rowan a curt nod and set off. Not too fast, they didn't want to overwork the horse, but ahead of Rowan. They began to speak in hushed tones about how dead Alvaro was. Although the faerie wasn't dead yet, he probably would be pretty soon. He'd never seen Kori so angry. "You are the second in command Alvaro, you're not supposed to make stupid, split second decisions. You should've waited for back up. Alvaro, you could have died out there; which is very, very selfish. The town needs you, more than probably anybody, you know you're abilities are special and they are needed here and not for some stupid foolish human matter." Any normal person would've known to shut up but Alvaro wasn't that normal, or smart. "I understand that Kori but I couldn't just leave a whole town full of innocents get murdered without at least trying to help! It was to close to home, I just was trying to help Kori. And you can't stop me once I've made those decisions." The older faerie shook her head. "From what I've heard, your so called help saved two humans. More like one but still. You weren't the greatest help when you think about it." Faeries never purposely hurt someone, but Kori's scathing tone was deliberate and tore at Alvaro. His eyes suddenly becoming cold and gaze sharp. |

Rowan and Frost loped along at an easy pace, which was nice for both the horse and rider. "When we get to town," Rowan murmured, "I'll brush you down and make sure you have food and water. Then, you will - hopefully - have a few days to relax and run around while I rest and train." Frost whinnied happily, and Rowan smiled as she pat his neck. "Good boy, Frost. Really. Thank you." |

Once they entered the forest, the guards took out their swords. Which were made by secret metals only known to faeries and were enchanted to light up darkness. It sent dark things running, usually. That was before the monsters started coming in waves and overrunning even the power of the light. Finally, they made it to the force field. It kept out monsters, most of the time. And there was still about a mile till they actually reached the town. So the guards kept their swords drawn and ready. Faeries were fairly peaceful with each other. This wasn't the case for Kori and Alvaro currently. The tension rose in the room and both of their marks emitted a strong green glow. The silence was intense and deadly. Finally, Alvaro shook his head. "I'm leaving, good day Kori." He hissed this through closed teeth and flew straight out of the house with and angry expression. Clem suddenly appeared next to him as he headed towards the woods. He needed to get his emotions under control before other faeries woke up. Alvaro's kind could sense most emotions of their brethren and seeing a leader so angry would scare them. He had to remain calm. |

The girl shivered a bit as she felt the wave of the border pass over her. The feeling was like ice, and stung a bit, too. Rowan warily looked back, and realized how reckless she had been. Kori had said she had magic in her veins, and as she felt the twinge of pain, fully recognized she was part of the people trying to be kept out. She was one of the monsters the faeries guarded against. Perhaps her magic was too weak, or perhaps she had been welcomed in that made the difference, but that border could have seriously hurt her. |

The guards suddenly turned their heads at the same time towards each other. Their expressions turning to confusion, a sudden overwhelming sense of anger had come over the two and they started to look about to find the source. Everywhere but up of course, where Alvaro was. His wings beating as he tried to release his anger in the best way. Flying. |
