The remote was closest to Zane so the boy easily grabbed it and turned it on. Technically, he was the only able body in the hotel room. Alex..well it was obvious why she couldn't change the channel. Kaitlyn had said that although Aloe was getting better, she shouldn't lift up anything too heavy just yet. In fact, she just shouldn't pick anything up. So Zane was the one who turned on the tv and changed it to the children's channel. Even he was captivated by the cartoons. Of course, when he was little he had been able to watch them but once he got out on the streets tv wasn't really an option. So, although he was 13, Zane happily watched the cartoons too.

Aloe smiled as brightly as the colorful glow of the TV. She excitedly waggled her hand, "I love this show!" Aloe hadn't seen too many shows on TV, but had quickly developed favorites. Although, she seemed to form new favorites all of the time.

Zane sunk into the bed on his side of the room and propped his head up with both hands and smiled slightly as the show continued. For the first time since the start of the trip Zane finally looked his age.

My plans are all coming together..))
After the amazing food Brax made. Addilyn decided that she had to go to the problem. Not because she wanted to, but because it was the nicest thing to do. Plus, the food would be amazing and Addilyn really was still hungry. After going around and asking, Amika opted to stay behind while Al eagerly said yes and Brax had to go since he was designated babysitter of Al. Of course Al asked if he could drive the motorcycle there and Addilyn had laughed at him. "Yea right, you don't know how to drive yet. You aren't allowed anywhere near my bike. And yes, I learned how to ride a motorcycle when I was 5. Started driving as soon as my feet reached the pedals." Al seemed mildly surprised by this but said nothing about it.

that's illegal
Ribs, not being a big fan of large gatherings, decided to stay back at Addilyn's crib. Jason went, if only to watch out for Addi. Sure, she was more capable than he was in this situation, but still. Love sometimes had no reasoning. He would protect her, even if she didn't need him too.

I know. Buuuuttt the witches don't care.))
Addilyn loaded everyone into the car and made the responsible Brax drive. It was an SUV so it could fit everybody. Brax and Addilyn sat in the front, so she could tell him where to go. They slid to a stop and hopped out of the car. Addilyn went straight to Jason, although she put on a confident front, she was not prepared to see her family again and all she really wanted was more food. A child, maybe 12 years old, smiled once he saw Addilyn and sent up a flare with his sparkly power. "She's here!" The boy yelled out and waved his hand, revealing a campfire where children played and adults laughed. Addilyn's family most of them. Edited at May 3, 2019 04:59 PM by Soaring Free

Jason wrapped his arm around Addilyns shoulder, and kissed the side of her head, "Don't worry," he whispered, "I'll be right next to you, and we will get something to eat." Jason knew how Addi thought, they knew one another so well, and whenever she was nervous her mental barriers slipped a bit. Jason never tried to read anyone's mind, but sometimes it was hard not to.
