Yuppers))
Addilyn had just finished changing when she smelled the food. Food. Like good, not-out-of-the-can food. Pulling on her old ripped jeans and green hoodie, she noticed that unlike the grow-to fit jeans the hoodie was small. Not by much, but it was almost like a crop top. She shivered, she'd have to take this thing off in a bit. But the food in the kitchen was calling her, and although she knew there'd be food at the party (preferably s'mores since those had been her favorite) she was also starving and needed whatever was cooking. Brax and Amika were cooking actually, Brax seemed to be making tacos. And not regular sized ones either, these were as long as Addilyn's face and she knew immediately that she needed them in her system. Amika meanwhile was making salads next to him. She always made them eat something healthy when they had a big meal.

Jonas was chopping carrots. He was quite good with a knife, so it didn't take too much effort. With a shower he looked good - not so ragged. Jonas has also shaped up a bit during the long trip, though he was still a barrel of a man.

The trip had done something to everyone. Amika had lost a pound or two which she had wanted to do anyways, Addilyn looked a bit more tan with the winter sun and had a few more muscles. Brax was Brax and had got muscle that he really hadn't wanted, then there was Al who I don't care enough about to describe. Addilyn peeked over Brax's shoulder at the meat in the pan, "how much longer?" She whined playfully, Addilyn was hungry so this wasn't too far off from how she actually felt. "15 more minutes, maybe a little less. Luckily the meat seemed to thaw practically by itself. Is that some sort of magic?" His question surprised Addilyn but she felt like he deserved an answer. "Yea, most of the house has some sort of magic to it. The meat is fine though! It doesn't affect it or anything." Brax nodded but didn't look too disturbed by the idea, it was Amika that sort of ignored Addilyn's comment. Like she didn't want to accept it. Al meanwhile, was exploring the house, especially the garage where he'd found a shiny motorcycle. It was smallish, someone like himself would be able to ride it but it had obviously been made for smaller people in mind.

Everyone had changed in some way, whether it be physically or mentally. The long trip took its toll on everyone. Many people figured that the folks in the car had it easy...
For the first part of the trip, Alex had been bored. Now, she was exhausted. Being in the car for weeks and managing Aloe and Strike was tiring. During the trip, though, there had been a breakthrough. Aloe was now awake, meaning, she was able to form coherent sentences, and was awake for hours at a time, not just minutes.

Kaitlyn was very tired of the driving portion of all of this. It was so horrible and she had cramps regularly now which sucked. When she wasn't driving she was sleeping or stopping at a place to refill gas or taking someone to the restroom. They were quite the spectacle, one blind woman, a german shepherd service dog, a little girl in a wheel chair, a rainbow-haired woman and a dark looking boy who spoke little and kept his head down. Today was the final day of the car since they had reached the place where Addilyn had said to stay and meet them at. The hotel they were going to check in at was nice and there were two bedrooms checked in right next to each other with two beds each. Kaitlyn would be sharing a room with Aloe and Zane with Alex. Kaitlyn, although tired and annoyed, was so happy that Aloe was speaking. And staying awake more importantly. Zane spoke little and stayed as far away from Strike as he could. The dog had left him stripped of his normal fierceness and he was always tired now. His body shaking at the most inconvenient times. Though he'd saved Kaitlyn from a very rude mugger, that was with ease and he hadn't even flinched when he knocked the guy out.

Aloe was hungry. As they moved into the hotel room, Aloe shyly asked Kaitlyn if they could get some food. "Like chocolate shake," she had said with longing. Her favorite dessert was chocolate shakes.

Kaitlyn smiled at the little girl. Her eyes shining, "okay then dear. I'll be back soon, I need to go shopping anyways. What do you guys want?" Kaitlyn took out a notepad and a piece of paper. She needed to make sure everyone liked the food she got. For tonight she'd go grocery shopping and just go by some fast food place and get everyone food.

Alex just wanted some fruit and a case of water bottles, while Aloe asked for fruit snacks and ' yummy things '. Everyone in the group was thankful for Kaitlyn. She took care of them all, which Alex really appreciated. She could only do so much when they were in unfamiliar places. It was times like these that she was thankful for Strike. "Oh! And some treats for Strike. He's been a very good boy." The dog in question thumped his tail on the floor from his place across the room. He had understood from an early time that Zane did not like him, so he stayed away for the most part.

Kaitlyn wrote all this down and laughed softly at Aloe's yummy thing comment. She also wrote down things like chicken broth for Aloe, and other easily digestible foods for the girl. Plus other nice things for dinner. "Okay, I better get going now, Zane you'll be staying here." Kaitlyn said this as Strike thumped his tail on the floor. Zane winced like it physically hurt him to hear the dog. Kaitlyn sighed and ruffled the child's hair. "DOn't answer the door, I'll put the do not disturb sign up on the door so the maid won't bust in. I'll be back in an hour or 2. Lock the latch too, I'll knock 3 times then 2 so you can open it back up okay?" Zane nodded and Kaitlyn smiled at the others. Then she left, Zane swiftly standing up and locking the door behind her.

Alex cleared her throat, "Want to turn on the T.V.?" She asked in a cheerful voice. Aloe nodded eagerly. In the few hotels they had been in, Aloe had developed a fondness for the colorful cartoons and pixelated stories.
