Cookies. Addilyn had never made any sort of baked good in her life ever. Not even the simple stuff like pre-made cookies. She'd never found the time between caring for her mother and running away from her problems, or killing her problems. Same difference. Choosing to ignore the whole friend thing, Addilyn continued on. Friends were weaknesses, so although Addilyn liked Alex, she wouldn't be able to show it in front of anyone else. "Sure, I've never made any sort of cookie before honestly."

"Well we have the most basic of basic cookies - the pre-made squares. The greatest thing in existence." Alex made her way into the kitchen, and fished around in the refrigerator til she found the package. "I can't remember -it says on the back what to preheat the oven to. Can you read t?"

Addilyn could read. But baking instructions were a different story. She gently took the package from Alex and looked it over. "Where in the world are the instructions." It was more of a statement than a question and once Addilyn finally found them, she was laughing at her own stupidity. "I think it says 350°. I think. Yea." Addilyn had never felt more out of place than in a kitchen.

"That sounds right. So, on the oven, press Bake, then 350, then start. I'll get out a pan." Alex felt through the drawers and got out the tin, the ripped open the package and started placing the cookies on the tin. Every once and a while she'd take one of the raw squares and eat it.

Addilyn listened intently to Alex before carefully figuring it out. She'd used an oven before of course, but that one had been really, really old and nothing like this one. Plus, Addilyn was just a rather careful person in general. Always planning ahead. "Do they taste good raw or something?" Addilyn had never had raw cooki dough. So basically she'd never lived.

"They are like heaven in a square," Alex stated confidently, "The best thing in the world." Alex then guestured towards the packaging, "Try one."

With curiosity, Addilyn gently slipped her hand into the packaging and took out a square. Green eyes wide as they looked over it. The square was sticky and soft, it felt a little weird to Addilyn who had always eaten baked cookies. After a few moments, Addilyn just ate it. Her eyes turning bigger and rounder as she ate. "This is really good." And she was smiling.

"The cookie industry is definitely something I can get behind," Alex murmured. "Also, we can put the tray in the oven once it's been fully pre-heated."

Right on cue, the oven started beeping, alerting them that the oven had pre-heated. Addilyn knew how this part went. "Do you want me to put it in?" Addilyn didn't know if Alex could actually put the trey in without burning herself. Though she tried not to think about it, being blind probably made it hard.

"Yes please," Alex did not address why, but her milky white eyes served as a reminder. She grabbed the remaining dough, and put it back in the refrigerator, "Thank you."
