Addilyn was upset. She still was limping now and her ribs hurt. Worst day to get hurt ever. Of course, technically, it wasn't her fault she was hurt. They had been getting to close to the gang and Addilyn was not planning on letting them hurt her friends. So she'd what needed to be done in order to ensure their safety. Green eyes looked up as Alex spoke, catching the other girl's foggy eyes with ease. "Yes Alex?" Addilyn's voice wasn't like Amika's or most other girls. It had a defensive edge to it always and was rougher than most; though it still had that girlish lilt to it that Addilyn hated. Jason was the only one in the whole house who knew how her voice sounded when she let down her defenses. Though he probably didn't even remember anyways. With half his memory gone and all.

Alex opened her mouth to say something, but paused. Her head tilted, and when she did say something, her voice was not accusatory in the slightest, "You are fighting something, or someone, and it's hurting you. I'm not asking you to tell me what it is, or why, or who. Just please tell me that your hurt," Alex sucked in a deep breath, "Michael is an idiot and doesn't like to tell me when he's hurt, and then it gets ten times worse." Although Alex sounded fine, her facial expression showed the worry she held. One of her silent fears are people being hurt around her, and not being able to do anything because she wasn't able to see that something was wrong.

The girl watched Alex's movements and facial expression with care. Taking into consideration the worry on the other girl's face; she knew that she wasn't lying or faking her worry. Addilyn listened to Alex's worries with a quiet expression, though not cold. In fact, Addilyn almost seemed to be listening to her in earnest. Trying to figure out the best possible solution to the problem while everyone got what they wanted in the end. Finally Addilyn nodded, more of to clear her own thoughts and not for Alex. "I understand Alex, and thank you for not trying to push me to tell you what's happening. And yes, although I can tell you already know, I'm slightly injured. Just a few bruised ribs, nothing too big. And from now on I'll tell you if I'm hurt. I promise." And Addilyn didn't break promises...normally.

Alex smiled, "I get that amitting you are hurt can be daunting, and there are times when you don't want to tell anyone. But at least when it's serious - I have healing magic," Alex seemed to shiver a bit, "And will help." Alex's healing magic could heal all wounds, no matter how big or small. Except, they are reflected into her. She takes their wounds and puts them on herself. Then, she's able to use her personal healing to fix it, though it isn't pretty. Alex unconsciously felt her arm, the think scars raising above her skin.

The shock hit Addilyn like a boulder, she'd felt the magic coming off Alex but thought maybe that the girl hadn't tapped into it; and Addilyn hadn't been about to tell her. But Alex had known, at least it was out in the open though. Addilyn wouldn't tell about her own powers ever, not to anyone other than Jason. Who again probably didn't even remember so there wasn't even a point. "I-Oh, well thank you Alex, I appreciate your offer. And if I do get injured I'll be sure to tell you. Though, I have to say, I'm not one for physical contact, so I'll be a little hesitant."

"It requires no physical contact," Alex promised, "I just need to be made aware of what it is in order to heal it." The young girl paused, and thought for a moment, "How old are you?"

The question seemed to take Addilyn by surprise and she flinched. She was the second youngest among her companions, not something she was proud of. In fact, she hated it. Other gangs had learned soon enough that Addilyn was a force to be reckoned with but it had still left her at the worst possible place to be when she had to run away when Jason got caught. Being so young on the streets wasn't a good idea, but Addilyn already had done it before and could do it again. "I'm 16, gonna be 17 on December 7th. Why do you need to know? Sorry it was just an odd question."

Alex shrugged, "Even though your personality seems way older, it's nice to know that there is someone my age," She explained, "I'm 16 as well. Also, I was fall-out curious. You seem older - like 18 or 20. Though I suppose the streets are a fast place to grow up."

Addilyn released the tiniest of chuckles, not realizing that this semi-innocent girl in front of her was the same age. "Yea, I get that a lot. Not by other gangs but by kids my age. You're right, living like I do does make me different for my age." Addilyn had been like this for a long time, even before moving here. But she'd stopped for awhile. Then she had met Jason, and it had started again.

Alex grinned, "I think we could be friends, Addilyn," she announced suddenly, "And I also think that after all of the planning, snacks are of the highest importance right now. Mind helping me bake cookies? It's the pre-made stuff."
