"What the hel-heck just happened?" Amika didn't believe in magic. She never had and she never thought she would. After a moment she just shook her head "T-thank you Aloe for taking the Bad away. I appreciate it." Ami didn't even know what to say while Kaitlyn just smiled. As if she knew something the other girl didn't.

Aloe just nodded, and exhausted, let her hand fall back to her side. "F-food?" Aloe asked her mama hopefully, her stomach growling.

Kaitlyn nodded and disappeared for a moment, leaving Amika and Aloe alone. "Thanks again firecracker. You're really strong, you know. And I'm going to make sure you get out of this life as quick as possible. I don't want you to end up like the rest of us. I want you to love and learn and be really smart. Kay? And I'll make sure that all happens. I promise." Amika loved children, always had. It was something she'd always been like; they made her gentler side come out.

Aloe nodded, her face trying to be solemn, but a smile sneaking out. "Big S-s.. sister!" The young girl exclamed, "I t-trust you. Good puh..puh.. person."

Amika's eyes filled with tears and she looked away from Aloe for a moment. She had said those words many, many times. Both in dreams and the waking world. "Thank you Aloe." Her voice was tiny and she was gone as soon as Kaitlyn entered with a small jar of applesauce. It was the easiest thing to eat and was small enough that Aloe's stomach wouldn't reject it since it had been so many days without food. Amika meanwhile, had disappeared out the backdoor and had thrown her coat on. The cold air got through her sweatpants but she didn't care. She needed to think and calm down.

Aloe looked dejected as her Mama helped her eat the applesauce, since she was still to weak to hold anything. "Muh-muh made B-big sister-er sad," she explained to Mama, "I did-didn't wan-wanna make her su-suh-sad."

Kaitlyn shook her head sadly. "Yes I know dear, and she knows too. But, Amika, big sister, she has been through a lot. Once, she had a big sister too, but she doesn't anymore. So you just reminded her of that. She'll be good Aloe. She just needs a second." Amika was sitting outside in the backyard when Brax materialized beside her. His footsteps were completely silent despite the crunchy snow underfoot. "You know, sometimes, I almost forget. I'll feel good again and whole, but then I'll remember her. Or something will remind me of her. And then I feel guilty. I shouldn't feel whole without my other half. It hurts so much Brax. It's like a big hole just took her place and I'm trying to figure out how to live without her." Tears began running down Ami's face and her vision blurred. She felt warm arms wrap around her and buried her face in Brax's shoulder. So rarely did he ever touch anyone, but the bond between the gang was strong, like family. They trusted each other with their lives.

I'm not sure what to do So I'm going to-o-o Make Alex and Addi friends
Alex sat in the living room. She had a bone to pick with Addilyn. The girl was too silent! It was so unfair that the blind girl got stuck with ninjas.

While the lovely bonding moment was happening outside, Addilyn had changed. Comfy jeans that had been washed so many times they were practically leggings and a long sleeved plain black top with an oversized hoodie that she really liked. Black hair like a pool of ink on her back. From there, Addilyn walked towards the living room. It was close to the kitchen.

Alex strained to hear any movement, and when she heard light footsteps, Alex turned in her chair. "Addilyn?" She guessed, her face relatively peaceful. She guessed it was Addilyn due to the light steps and confidence in their walk.
