Brax didn't know what to do exactly. Addilyn would be Addilyn, keeping her secrets because "it protected the rest of them from harm." Whatever that meant. Brax had asked where she went before and she had merely shrugged him off before flipping him over her shoulder as they trained. "I don't know what's going on with her anymore. She's just becoming more distant lately." He sighed and stood up, finding out his cup then quickly cleaning it. They would be leaving soon and he needed a clean mug for the journey. "I'm gonna go check on her. Sorry."

Alex nodded, "I should go too..." Alex took her glass and set it next to the sink before moving on, her fingertips lightly touching things as she walked around.

Brax disappeared down the hallway and entered the room as Addilyn was just about to leave. Holding fresh clothes in her hands. "Yes Brax?" She immediately asked, seeing the questioning glimmer in his eyes. She was quiet, since the others were still sleeping. "Addilyn, you do realize all of this is worrying right? The whole leaving in the early hours of the morning and coming back all messed up, and don't even try to argue. Even Alex knew you were hurt, probably even more than I did. What is happening Addi?" The younger girl was choosing her words carefully, any person could tell. "I'm just getting things done before we leave." Brax shook his head with a sigh. "Fine, let me take a look at your injuries at least. I won't stop bugging you till you let me see them."

I'm sad. So I'm bringing in happy.
Aloe blinked awake. It seemed all she was doing recently was sleeping and being awake for tiny periods of time. The small child shivered, and wanted to get up and find a blanket. But for some reason, she couldn't stand. It wasn't listening. Her body didn't want to. "Mama?" Aloe croak, tears choking her words.
I'm not happy. I made it sad.

Aloe was still on the bed in the gang's room when she spoke. Addilyn limped over to Kaitlyn and woke her up. Immediately the woman stood up and walked over to the bed where the child lay. "Yes dear?" Kaitlyn stood next to the child's head and leaned over so she could see her. Noticing the shivering, Kaitlyn grabbed her thick blanket off the floor and put it on Aloe and tucked her in before returning to her spot. Brax and Addilyn had left the room and were currently in the bathroom. a roll of fresh gauze in Brax's hand as Addilyn took off her shirt. The bathroom door was closed and all but it still surprised Brax as to how tiny Addilyn was. She wore a simple black bra underneath her shirt which is why it was so easy to see the dark bruises on her ribs. Although Brax could tell nothing was broken, bruised ribs still hurt like hell most of the time. She had several minor cuts and scratches that Brax put some medication on so they wouldn't get infected. A larger cut obviously made by a knife needed actual bandaging and Brax shook his head as he did so. "What in the world Addilyn. I don't know what you're doing out there but you need to sort it out real quick. Don't do this again. Not without someone coming with you at least." Addilyn shrugged which wasn't helpful and Brax exited the restroom with a quiet sigh.

Aloe looked up at Kaitlyn, her Mama, and the pure confusion and fear in her gaze captured her innocence. "Why... why d-don't my legs-s work? The-the they aren't listening." The young child didn't know what was going on, who all she was with, where the brown walls of the hotel went, and where she was now. But that didn't matter much to her. The things she wanted to know was why her legs weren't listening, and why her Mama looked so sad.

The doctor shook her head and in a gentle gesture, tucked some of Aloe's hair behind her ear. She took in a deep breath before replying, "Aloe, you were hurt badly. Really badly dear, and now your legs won't work. I'm afraid they never will, but I'll be here for you the whole time. I'll see to it that you are able to move on your own without my help. Almost like you used to, I'm so sorry I can't do more Aloe. I'm so sorry." A tear slipped down Kaitlyn's cheek but she quickly wiped it away. The conversation woke Amika up and she bolted upright, sitting dead straight as her breath came in a sudden gasp. Kaitlyn seemed slightly embarrassed as the younger woman woke up to the doctor crying. Which never happened. Amika had a nightmare like normal now. She didn't make noise or any sort of movement when her dreams were being haunted, she just woke up suddenly. Kaitlyn had tried giving her sleeping pills that would grant her dreamless sleep but they never worked.

Aloe nodded, her pale face solemn, "O-okay," she accepted, "I-I can't do any-anything an-about it now." When Amika woke up, the young girl stretched up a quivering arm, "Co-come over," she asked the other girl. With her other hand and found Kaitlyns, "Don't be sad, Mama. I t-trust you."

It took Amika a moment to realize the small child was talking to her. Quickly getting up, she walked over to the bed where Aloe lay and stood awkwardly. The details of her nightmare racing away from her. Kaitlyn meanwhile gently held the girl's hand.

Remember how I said aloe has healing magic?
Aloes hand fell back against her side, as she was too weak to hold it up long, but still looked at the older girl with a serious and serene face. The image was slightly ruined by her tongue poking out the side of her mouth. Aloe had her lean down, and the little girl reached out and put cool fingers against her head. A warm, green glow seemed to emit, though it was hardly noticeable. "Try to sleep now. The Bad should be gone for a while." For once Aloe didn't stutter, and her hand didn't waver, and as she pulled back her hand, faint, dark tendrils came with and evaporated into the air.
