When Alex looked away, Brax was slightly relieved, brown eyes no longer so wide compared to when Alex had been looking at him so intently. "No, thank you Alex. You let us invade your space and welcomed a ton of wanted criminals into your home. I owe you, so if there's anything I can help you with don't hesitate to ask me." An easygoing smile returned to Brax's face.

With a nod, Alex felt her lips pulling at a smile, "Amd I will offer the same to you - you've been a really good friend. I haven't had one of those in a long while."

Brax looked over his cup of coffee to look at Alex. The word friend was practically foreign to him. His gang was family not friends, they had each other's backs always. They had never been friends they'd always been more. Brax didn't get close to people, he had no friends. Not for a long time at least. Alex saying these things made him smile. "I haven't either Alex. I haven't either."

Alex sent Brax an honest smile, and sipped her drink. Her unseeing eyes glimmer with something - hope, perhaps - and seemed, for once in a long time, happy.

Addilyn opened the front door with a soft sigh and closed it behind her. It was freezing outside and she hated it. Of course, the snow was nice and all, but today was moving day and she really wanted some nicer weather for it. Her hair was put up in a single, long braid and her eyes had dark brown contacts in as well as makeup layered on her face. She had obviously been out for awhile since it seemed to be rubbing off already. Plus, a bit of blood was seeping out of a small cut on her forehead. Brax knew automatically that she probably had more injuries under her big jacket. It seemed to be happening more and more where Addilyn would disappear for hours at a time only to come back with new injuries.

Alex smelt a twang in the air and jumped out of her seat, "Who just walked in?" She questioned, her voice concerned, and if one listened close enough, wavered slightly as she asked.

Brax wanted to reply but Addilyn got there first. "Just me Alex, Addilyn, sorry I should've said something once I came inside." Addilyn had turned around and locked the door, just in case. And truly was quite sorry, Brax could see it in her brown eyes.

Alex relaxed almost instantly when she heard Addilyn speak, "No problem. Now... it smells metallic. Are you hurt?" Her voice was concerned, only this time it was not fearful, but worried. She had grown to care about yhe people here in some form.

Addilyn was pulling off her tall boots when Alex asked. Leaving them beside the door to dry off before going to the sink and washing off her hands before taking the contacts out of her eyes and put them back in their container. Brax watched her do all of this with slightly stiff movements which seemed to be because of her torso area. Something has happened and Addilyn didn't look like she was about to talk about it. "Not anything I haven't dealt with before Alex. Thank you for worrying though. I'm going to go take a shower. Big day ahead of us and all that." Addilyn put on a grim smile before disappearing down the hallways towards the gang's room. Brax looked worriedly after her.

"I could hear her moving. It wasn't effortlessly graceful, like normal. Sure, it was still fluid, but it was like if she moved too much, it hurt. Something happened." Alex's head was turned towards where Addilyn had disappeared to.
