The knock on the door woke up everyone else in the room. Which was fine and all but made Al complain and groan. Kaitlyn woke up and immediately checked Aloe's vitals before having Ami help her put the young girl on the wheel chair. As everyone slowly made their way out, Kaitlyn used Addilyn this time to help her pull the IV drip into the living room with the wheel chair. Yawns were prominent as everyone made their way down to the living room. Once her job was done, Addilyn immediately went to Amika since despite her earlier threat, they were still close friends. And Addilyn got the feeling she would need one of those to get herself through this conversation. |

Once everyone was gathered, including Alex and Michael, Jason cleared his throat. "So... uh.. there is a lot of explaining to do," He grumbled, "Before we met, Addilyn, I was in a gang. Not the one I was in when we met. There was on before. I wasn't the leader, and I had exactly three people I trusted. Natalie, my sister, Ed, my best friend, and James, or Rainbow. We... weren't exactly dating, but it wasn't all friendship." As he spoke, the two in question looked at each other. James was slightly pale, but managed a smile. "This gang had no rules, no regulations... we were murderers and thieves. We thought it was fine. It wasn't. After one instance, James, Natalie and I decided to leave." His face was emotionless, yet there was sadness in his gaze, for during that instance, Ed was killed. And it was for the stupidest reason. "We were on the run, cause in this gang, if you tried to leave, you were killed. We were being hunted." James started to speak, then, "We ran for around two weeks. We had been lucky, but our luck ran out when Jason and Natalie were both shot. Natalie... she died." James looked anxiously over at Jason, and found the man was staring into the distance, moisture in his eyes. James quickly hurried on, "Jason disappeared. The people told me if I turned myself in, they wouldn't kill him, but," James gulped, "I didn't. I left. I thought Jason was dead this whole time, and changed my name and appearance, and after I got caught by the police and was sent to jail I didn't recognize -" Jason interrupted then, "I obviously didn't die. After some... unpleasant... times, I found a way to get out." It had been a grim time, "I've actually changed my appearance a lot. I used to be a string bean, no muscle at all. A shrimp. Uh.. I also made deals with a few witches..." Jason shrugged awkwardly, "Then I fought my way to the top of another gang, and there you met me, Addilyn." |

((I read this about 3 whole times just trying to figure out how to reply 😂))
Amika listened with a frown, Addilyn sitting next to her. At first, the other girl seemed anxious to know what was going on. By the end of it, she was quiet, and the tension that was always in her small body had disappeared. Amika noticed that Addilyn had put on a blank face, though she knew that Addilyn felt hurt, probably cuz Jason had never told her these things. This made Amika slightly angry, she knew that Addilyn had loved Jason more than anything. And now she knew that he had been keeping such vital information from her, it probably hurt more than she let on. Amika opened her mouth to say a few words but Addilyn interrupted her. Despite the whole thing, Addilyn's voice was as steady as ever, with not a single emotion in it. "Well, now I know huh? So now that I know what the hell is happening, what do you plan to do? Cuz I'm still leaving this place, along with the rest of us. So what are you two gonna do? Stay or come with or whatever." Amika felt the temperature around her raise slightly and she made a slightly confused expression. What the heck was that.
((So, I still have something planned for Mexico and in order to not spoil it I'm gonna stay out of Addilyn's mind. So be prepared for weird narration 😂)) |

Jason, in a honesty, didn't believe he had to tell Addilyn everything that happened. She certainly hadn't told him everything, and he didn't expect her to. Along with her anger, he was slightly confused. James and him didn't feel that way about each other. Jason really liked Addilyn, and James had sworn off love. In fact, James had decided to leave. "I'm leaving," James said, seeming to read Jason's mind. "On my own." They shrugged, "I think it's about time I figured things out for my own." Ribs, Jason, and James all looked at each other. Ribs spoke up, "I remember. Whenever we talked about escaping, you always said you'd stay for a bit, then leave." Ribs, despite everything, still cared for the two of them. He got up, patted Jason on the back, and squeezed Rainbows shoulder. He then left the room. |

Kaitlyn watched everything with mild interest, this really wasn't her business, she just had wanted to know what was going to happen. Looking up, she watched as Amika frowned at Addilyn who didn't seem angry or much of anything really. Which was fine, Addilyn was focused on the task ahead like a good leader should be. Already Kaitlyn could see the younger woman scrolling through how this was going to affect the trip. If anything, they would just need less supplies. At least, that's what Kaitlyn thought. Braxton meanwhile watched Amika stare at Ribs' back as he left. This was a weird turn of events for sure. It was interesting to say the least. The way how everything seemed to be kind of falling apart. It was weird how quickly things could change, and suddenly Braxton was wishing that Jason hadn't shown up. It would've been easier; made things easier for the gang. They would have already been in Canada by now and the stress would have dissolved. Of course, that hadn't happened and this was still happening. |

The little girl stretched. She tried to move her whole body, but only part responded. She blinked open her clover green eyes, searching for anything familiar. There! The women who was there before, the calm voice. "Mamma.." she tried to say, but it came out cracked and broken. |

Kaitlyn sat up so quick, her back popped. She turned to the little girl with a comforting smile. "Hello dear, I'm sorry about earlier, I was just worried. Your color is a little better, I'm so happy you're awake. Though you must rest okay? If you want to get better. You really are so adorable, and your red hair is so pretty." Kaitlyn often talked to her patients even if they couldn't fully reply. Aloe being conscious was a miracle in itself, and Kaitlyn wanted to make her feel welcomed. |

"I.. is I..i..it s-s-s-safe?" The little girl seemed to have to force the words out. "T-t-t.. tto sleep?" She reached out a small hand. She wanted contact. Human touch. To know she could still feel, and she wasn't as isolated as she felt. |

Kaitlyn automatically took Aloe's hand, her touch gentle and her smile light. "Yes, of course dear. I promise you'll be safe here." The rest of the gang was watching intently, Amika smiling hopefully for the child's future. Kaitlyn made a promise in her head to make sure that this child was never truly tainted by the violence that filled everyone else's life. |

It was then Aloe smiled, "a-a-a-after.. sleep.. puh-puh-lease eat." The girl didn't know why words were sticky, and was too tired and weak to find out in that moment. She gave the nice ladies hand a weak squeeze, and drifted off to sleep once more. |
