Addilyn complied shrinking back to the other wall; not knowing what to say. Slowly it dawned on her what had happened, and it didn't ease her panic at all. Al had pushed Jason into the wall, from there Jason's head had hit the wall hard enough for perhaps a concussion? And then his memories were taken? Everything was quite confusing, but her mind came to a single result. This. Was Al's fault. Entirely his fault. His over-confidence caused this. Al seemed to realize this at the same time since he stood up and began walking backwards. Knowing full well that Addilyn was planning his downfall. "Addi look I'm sorry, I didn't think this would happen." It was too late, the way Addilyn was glaring at him said it plenty well. Without thinking she lunged, taking out the knife from her back pocket and sliding it easily into his shoulder. He cried out in pain and shoved the small teen off. The knife had fell out and the wound had begun to bleed. Addilyn grabbed the knife with deft hands and lunged again only this time someone stopped her, Amika. The girl had popped up in front of Al at the last second and the knife was at her throat instead of his. "Addilyn, you need to calm down. Get your knife away from my throat." Addilyn scowled and pressed Ami harder, a drop of blood forming and dripping down her neck. This seemed to shock Ami, she hadn't realized that Addi wouldn't have stopped. Amika was saved from death when Zane and Brax pulled Addi off of Ami. Addilyn tried to fight them off at first but finally she gave up. Allowing herself to be dragged into the room she slept in and glaring at Al now. Amika still stood shocked.

Ribs had heard the commotion and gently pulled Amika to the side, dabbing her throat with his shirt sleeve to clot the blood. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, stealing glances over his shoulder. He had automatically put himself between her and everyone else, instinct taking over. Jason rubbed his the back of his head, furrowed brows and an angry look so unlike the Jason of now. This wasn't even the Jason before. This was the angry, violent street rat who scammed and maimed for food and money.

In all honesty, Amika was just going to ask Kaitlyn for bandages and then forget about it. So when Ribs pulled her aside and helped with the injury; she seemed surprised. She seemed to still be in shock after what had happened but seemed good otherwise. "U-uh, yes I'll be okay. Thank you." Amika seemed grateful, and used Rib as a block so she wouldn't have to see Addilyn getting dragged away, or Al bleeding, or Jason's harsh face. If anything, she almost seemed..scared. Of course, that's when Kaitlyn showed up, her rainbow hair still in all of its braided glory. Like Ami's jaír was and Addilyn's had been before she'd tried to kill Al. Kaitlyn looked at the scene before her with an almost annoyed expression. She threw white bandages at Al and simply said, "apply pressure idiot and be quiet." Al complied, that's when Kaitlyn's gaze skipped over Amika and fell on the harsh looking Jason. "I hate my job."

Jason scowled at her, "Well I'm not OK with this either," he shot back. "And keep the hell away from me. No way would I trust some strangers." Rainbow chose this moment to show up, "Uh...." they said, looking around with a coolly detached look, then shrugging, "I'll ask later. Too crowded right now."
Ribs did a little have blush-y thing, and scuffed his feet, "If.. if you need to talk... I'm here? Not just about this... but about... anything.."

A shout could be heard from the room that Addilyn had been dragged to. She was probably arguing with the boys. But that wasn't Kaitlyn's problem right now, Jason was her patient, and she could see how disoriented he seemed and how he was being ruder than normal. She glanced over at Rainbow when they said something but already she was trying to figure out how to approach Jason. Finally settling on the cautious approach. She couldn't fight at all, she knew how to fire a gun and that was about it. "I can tell you don't know who you are or where you are. Look, my name is Kaitlyn, I'm a certified doctor. I believe you have a severe head injury that I can try to help you with. But in order to take care of it I need to get closer to you. I will stay over here if you want me to but I'm not gonna leave you alone." Kaitlyn had a slightly determined look in her eyes, she was quite stubborn.
Amika took a deep breath, gathering herself so she wouldn't say anything stupid, like that she was terrified of the way Jason was looking at everyone. Or how she was scared of what Addilyn would do to Al or Amika after she got out of the room. Or even the fact that she still wanted to cry and cry and cry over Iris who's death had seemed to go unnoticed by her companions. Finally, she just blurted our a random thought. "Why are you so nice?" Amika's voice seemed more stiff than normal, like she was hiding other things behind that single sentence. Edited at November 1, 2018 07:41 PM by Soaring Free

Jason scowled, "What reason do I have to trust you? Any of you?" He snapped, his gaze unforgiving as he glared at the people around him. There was no gentle caution, no warmness, and none of the kind hostilities that made Jason, well, Jason.
Ribs turned scarlet up to the top of his bald head, which was a choice of his own, not that he just didn't have any hair. "I... I.. well.." he couldn't meet Amika's gaze, and he was torn between looking at his best friend, and the girl he cares so deeply about. "C.. can we talk later, please? I'm... I need to find someone, or be the someone, who can get to him... right now Jason won't listen to anybody.."

Another loud shout and a crash could be heard from the other room. Kaitlyn sighed before replying to Jason. Not really knowing what to say, "In all honesty, you don't have a reason. We just met a few days ago though you don't remember that do you? Your name is Jason, and I won't lie to you. I have no reason to." Kaitlyn said this all gently, not knowing what else to do. He was such a dangerous person, and Kaitlyn was too weak to fight or anything at all. She couldn't risk it. Amika took a few steps back, she had probably said something wrong. Been too straight forward or something. It had been wrong of her to do that. "Of course, I-uh I understand. You were his friend, you should help him. I-I should help Addilyn. She probably doesn't want to see me, I should do it anyways."

Ribs immediately looked guilty, "No no! Please... I.. I want to talk. Promise. I just... need to help Jason... he's... lost.." the last word was soft, and weighed with regret.
Jason's forehead crinkled as he furrowed his brows. "Where is Natalie? And Ed and James?" He murmured under his voice, eyes icy with distrust as he looked at the people around him. Those three were as close as family, his gang. Nat and James.... he looked around, where were they?

"Exactly, I understand Ribs. You have a friend whom you need to help. So go help him, I need to calm down Addilyn too. And Kaitlyn is probably doing her best to not get beat up anyways so I would probably remove her from the situation, she can't defend herself very well. She's just a doctor." Amika said this smoothly, an understanding smile planted on her face with no happiness to it.

Ribs still looked very guilty, but did turn away to try and help Jason. What he saw concerned him. Jason was looking over them with the type of gaze he knew well - the one where he was assessing everyone and everything... and figuring out how to take them down. Ribs knew he wouldn't be able to do it. He remembered how Rainbow had seemed to know him longer, so Ribs hurried away to get them.
