"I know, and i believe in you," Meadow said before sitting up. "Alright, next challenge." Meadow then began walking again. Soon everyone was down wind of an elk herd. "You have to work together for this one but your both going to hunt the same elk and whoever gives the final bite wins this one," Meadow said in a whisper. Meadow then turned to Hondo and said, "Goodluck." Meadow then nodded at John before syaing "Go!"

"I know you can!" Anne said excitedly. She then followed Meadow to the next challenge. "Goodluck brother!" Anne said in a loud wisper. "You got this!"

Hondo

Hondo eyes the Elk herd. He could make out an older buck with a limp leg. "John, we should get that one." He said pointing to the one Elk. John nodded. He knew he had to get the final bite. But John wouldnt let up easily. Hondo trotted stealthily up to the deer. It hadnt yet heard them so he proceeded forward. "We should do it now." John said impatiently then bounded forward, spooking the Elk. Hondo shook his head but bounded off after. John leapt on the elks back. Tackling it to the ground, he then went for the final bite but Hondo shoved him out of the way. Hondo bit into its neck. Killing it. His muzzle bloody he turned and gave John a happy and mischevious sneer, and then turned back towards his sister. "I won!" He said happily.

John

Johm was not happy at all. He gave a low growl and snapped at the air. "So thats how yoy want to play?" He yelled angrily. He then trotted to his sister. "I hate that wolf." He muttered.

Meadow bounded to her brother as he did the final bite. She was about to say something to Hondo when she heard John. She instantly turned around and let a snarl out. "Never, say that again! You pushed him into the river so he pushed you away from the elk! If you want to be alpha i suggest you say sorry and not act that way!"

Anne ran over to her brother and frowned. "Its alright, theres still another challenge and-" Anne turned to face Meadow who was snarling. Anne quickly returned a growl but didnt move or say anything.

Hondo

"Meadow its ok." He said reassuring her. "We are all even now, whats the next challenge?" He asked, keeping on eye on John and Anne.

John

John gave a growl but agreed with Hondo, for once. "Whats the next challenge?" He asked. He looked at his sister. "I will win it ok." He said so only she could hear.

Meadow reluctantly stopped growling and turned to Hondo. "The next challenge...which i now think is a horrible idea is....Both of you will fight. If you lay down that means you give up and the other will win. You cant keep attacking though if someone layed down."

Anne smiled and nodded at her brother before listening to Meadow. She already knew what the next challenge was but she still liked to listen. "Goodluck brother!" Anne said before backing away a bit so she wouldnt get in the cross fire. Once Meadow sat beside her Anne spoke by saying, "Go!"

Hondo and John

As soon as she said go they both bounded tpwards each other. The both pounced and they landed on the ground, teeth snapping and claws scratching. Hondo bit John on the muzzle, drawing blood. John was mad. He scratched deep into Hondo's side, leaving a deep gash. Hondo let out a yelp, but he would bot give up. Hondo bit into John's scruff, ripping and dragging, he then sracthed his leg. John was in so much pain, but he too wouldnt gkve up. He pushed Hondo to the ground, pinning him. Hondo couldnt scratch anymore so he bit into John's chest. John yelped and fell off. Hondo pinned him, scratching and biting into him. John yelled. "I give up!" Hondo got off. They both walked away from each other. To their sisters. Then they both licked their wounds. Hondo was so happy. He was the Alpha now. "I won Meadow." He said tail thumping the ground.

Meadow flinched at the scene but found that she couldnt look away. After the fight though Meadow let out a sigh of relief. "Good-job brother! That means you and Anne are the alphas!" Meadow then helped Hondo clean his wounds.

Anne cheered her brother on as she watched them fight. She could tell Meadow didn't like it but that just made Anne cheer louder. After the fight though Anne's smile faded. "You tryed your best," She said as John came up to her. She then, like Meadow helped clean her brother's wounds. Then it hit her, " That means im going to be alpha...." Anne couldnt believe it as she sat, stunned from the shock.

Hondo

It was only a few scratches. He never thought he would win though, John was a huge wolf. Way bigger then him. He stared at him, but his gaze lingered to Anne. She was so beautiful, and she was his mate. He then looked back to John. He wasnt too hurt, he could still hunt. Deep down he knew this pack would prosper.

John

John wasnt happy about losing, but a fedling rose in his gut. A deep respect for Hondo creeped up him. Hondo was a very small wolf compared to him. And the fact that he'd lost to him made his respect surge. He looked at Meadow, his new mate. They would both be mates and Betas. They should have pups by spring. So he felt the pack would do well.

Content that Hondo's wounds were clean she walked over to John before sitting down next to him. Meadow knew that everything would be fine between the two males so she was very happy. She licked Johns cheek before laying down. "So, what should we do now? Maybe get more territory?"

Anne finally managed to get herself under control after a few seconds though she still couldnt quite believing it. She then saw Hondo, her new mate staring at her with affection. Sge blushed before getting up and sitting by him just as Meadow had done. She then listened to Meadow before speaking, " We do need more territory." She then looked at Hondo to see if he agreed.

Hondo

"Yes we should get some more territory, just not North towards the other wolves." He said to Anne, licking her muzzle affectionately. He knew since they had 4 wolves now that everything should be fine, unless the other wolves come. "If the larger pack comes we cant fight them, they have more numbers. We would have to go farther south." He saw Anne looking affectionately at him. He knew she liked him and he liked her. He nuzzled her neck. Everything would be fine.

John felt so good when Meadow sat next to him. She forgave him for pushing Hondo earlier, which made affection course through him. "Are you hungry?" He asked. "We can go and get the Elk carcass and bring it over."
