Persephone sighed, knowing that she needs to stop comparing Hades with Eros. She knows they are completely different Gods, but she can't help but be cautious that he could have some traits as Eros. Then again, this is Hades. She has a feeling that he wouldn't do such things, though she has heard that he hasn't had a lover before. With that being said, that only makes her worry that she might not be enough for him and might want to look for someone else in the long run.

She ran a hand through her hair, her brows furrowed together. That definitely does worry her that he hasn't been with someone before. If something happens between them, she is going to have a problem with thinking that he will wander off to other women and leave her in the dust. That definitely wouldn't make her feel great. It would only cause her to go into a dark hole again and make sure that her heart never lets anyone in again. She just hopes she won't make the mistake of letting him in. She will just have to tread in these dangerous waters before she is sure he wouldn't do such a thing.

When Hades asked her why she keeps calling him darling, Persephone tilted her head slightly. She studied him, wondering if that makes him feel uncomfortable that she is calling him such an endearment. Then again, she didn't even know she was even calling him darling until he pointed it out to her. It is something that slips out if she is comfortable around someone. Well, she calls them hun, not darling. She reserves darling for certain people.

If anything, he seemed to be suspicious of her word of endearment rather than being uncomfortable with it. She pursed her lips, wondering if he thinks she is saying such things to play tricks with him or something. She wouldn't do such a thing since she knows what it feels like to be toyed around with and tricked into thinking that someone cares for them. What she learned from her experienced showed her what she should never do to someone else. Regardless, she wouldn't have done them to someone anyway if she didn't have the experience she has now.

"Clearly nothing bad." She mumbled, not sure how to explain it to him as she doesn't know herself why she keeps calling him that. She glanced at him, trying to think of a reasonable response. It's been years since she has actually called another person darling. The only person who gets called that is Hermes, but it is in a friendly manner rather than something more flirty in a way. "I call people who I consider special to me that. I mean, I can call you love if you want me to." She said, her shoulders shrugging.

At seeing his surprised expression when she mentioned going to the Underworld for a test run, she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. She would be just as surprised if their roles were reversed. Clearly, it didn't seem that he believes that she wants to go down there in the first place. Sure, she has heard what type of gloomy and unproductive place it is, but she didn't care. If she is going to be around him and whatnot, she wants to get to know him as much as possible from his small quirks to where he rules.

She smiled when he said he would be willing to brave her mother if she truly wants to go down there. "You need to stop doubting my responses. Clearly, I wouldn't have said such a thing if I didn't truly mean it. Sure, I tease you and whatnot a lot, but this is something I am not playing around with." She reached out and grasped his hand. "If we are going to be around each other, I want to know everything about you, even the bad things. In return, I will do the same even if some things might be painful to talk about." She is openly telling him the truth, nothing showing that she is lying or just playing around with him.

She chuckled when he seemed uneasy and the blush on cheeks when she mentioned him being jealous. "Hey, you are fine. Everyone gets jealous at some point. Just the forced smile when I mentioned Hermes and how there seemed to be a hint of annoyance in your face." She gave him a reassuring smile that she doesn't see him being jealous a bad thing or something she should worry about. She finds it a bit cute that he is jealous of Hermes, someone who clearly can't compare to him.

It kind of hurt for some reason when he said that they have nothing but friendship. Regardless of that, she kept the smile on her face so he didn't try to catch onto that and ask her what is going on. Sure, he is right, but perhaps, just maybe, she might have a small crush on him as well with how comfortable she acts around him. It's something she hasn't done before in such a long time, especially as fast as just two meetings.

She noticed his expression change when her tongue slipped. It seems he understood everything with the name that she gave him. She isn't surprised since everyone knows how that man can be. She rubbed her neck sheepishly, hoping that he doesn't think of her any less for falling for someone like Eros. Her brow raised at his questions, wondering what he would do if she said yes to having something happen to the man.

"Yeah, I definitely hate him, but I wouldn't wish to have something bad happen to him." It is probably odd that she wishes to not have someone be hurt after they hurt her. "Even though he hurt me, I don't wish ill will on anyone no matter what they did. Well, if he murdered people, I would make an exception." This is what made her too kind and naive sometimes. She cares for people no matter what they have done.

At his speech about being unloved and being alone, it made her heart clench. She hates it when people talk down on themselves like this. They don't deserve it, especially when they have someone who is more than happy to help them. She didn't like seeing that his eyes are slightly teary. She ran her thumbs gently under his eyes to help prevent him from letting tears trickle down his cheeks. Even if he thinks he is trying to influence her or trying to pressure her into doing something, he is so wrong about that. She isn't as naive as she used to be and wouldn't let someone do that to her.

"Hey, I'm not being kind out of fear. I'm not being polite out of fear. I'm being kind and polite because I can see that you aren't someone who should be feared, even if you rule the Underworld." She smiled softly. "Sure, you might have your quirks, but everyone does. Your quirks are something that someone will love. Your flaws are going to be loved. Anything that relates to you will be loved. Who knows, perhaps I will love you one day." She paused for a moment, debating on whether she should say what she has in mind next or keep it to herself. She might scare him away with what she will say, which is something she doesn't want. "I wouldn't be surprised if I did fall in love with you."

Sure, she has done things with Eros, but that is something she won't be telling him until they get closer. It is something she doesn't like to share with other people, even if they are close to her. It even took her a while to tell Hermes everything. Kisses can mean nothing where there isn't a feeling behind it. It is something that she doesn't want him to think she is doing when she kisses him. If she kisses someone, she cares for them, even if it is just a little bit and she can see something happening between them. Romantically, anyway. In saying that, Eros has been the only person she has kissed. Now Hades.

"Let me rephrase that." She said, not wanting him to think she is messing with him. "For me, I kiss people if I care about them. For example, I kiss Hermes on the cheek as he is like family and has been there for me during the bad times. For you, I did it because I do care for you. I did it because I do see something happening between us, even if it might take time to get there.

She could definitely tell that he is enjoying the kisses that he is receiving from her. She feels the same, even though she is the one who is giving kisses to him. She smiled softly, liking that he has a light and teasing tone to his voice. It made her feel light and happy that she was able to turn his gloomy mood upside down. She would give anything to make sure that he was happy, even if they just met.

"Hmm, doing something that I want to do because I want to and not because I'm being pressured into doing so." She mumbled softly. When he motioned for her to sit down in his lap, she raised a brow. He's definitely cute when he is happy. She took a seat on his lap, not caring that it something she probably shouldn't be doing. Her legs dangled over the side while one arm wrapped around his neck.

At hearing the knock at the door, her head snapped in that direction while her brows furrowed. Who would be interrupting them at a time like this? She let a sigh out, hoping that they would go away. She didn't feel like seeing other people besides Hades today. She is already having too much excitement for the day. She would just like to spend some quality time with Hades without anyone else around.

"Persephone, I know you are in there. Don't make me break down the door because I'm excited to see my best friend." At the familiar voice, a bright smile spread across her lips. Even though she wanted to be with Hades, Hermes is here after months of him not being around. "Don't keep me waiting." He added, indicating he would leave even though he truly wouldn't.

She looked up at Hades, giving him a soft smile. "He might be my friend, but you're my priority for everything else." She mumbled. She leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips, knowing he probably was debating on whether to do that again before there was a knock on the door. She got up and was on her way to the door, but stopped before she got far. She turned towards him and gave him a wink. "I would love it if you would stay, but if you have places to be, that is fine." She gave him a soft smile before bounding off to open the door.

He knew what was the most valuable in a woman. Love It was one of the top qualities. Honesty helped, but without love the friendship wouldn't stick together. Honestly helped with trust, but you needed to know that your friend was going to stick around. He had seen the gods bicker and fight. They were all putting themselves first. None of them could trust each other. They might have feelings for each other, but they didn't show that love at all. Being surrounded by those kind of gods, he could guess what she might think of him, because of her previous experience. He wasn't sure how to combat that. How would he feel? What would he want someone to do? Even though most people fell for each other relatively quickly, it took a long time to build a relationship where everyone was comfortable, and it worked.

Trust took a long time to build. He didn’t understand why she would start using terms of endearment before they had established that. Until she had started hinting at it, he hadn’t known that she had been toyed with before. He had seen some of the other goddesses, and it was natural and fun for them to do. He wasn’t sure where Persphone would have learned to do that, but she couldn’t be entirely immune to their influence. Did she want to be like everyone else, or was she happy the way she is? He supposed if she meant it was nothing bad, then she wasn’t trying to toy with him. He raised a brow. He wasn’t asking her to call him something different. He didn’t understand why she would use a term of endearment at all for him.

He felt uncomfortable, because Hermes kept on getting mentioned. It was a little odd. How had he become special to her already? He felt a little awkward about her going down. Not only was there her mother to deal with, but he would want to clean the place up. She might see some of the punishments that were given to devious mortals. What if she didn’t like it. However, the gods depended on him to keep the worse people busy, so they couldn’t escape and cause havoc. It was an unpleasant part of the job. He nodded his head. He couldn’t just up and trust her like that, and he thought she was expecting a lot out of him, but he understood now why she wanted to go down there. He would have to learn when she was joking, and when she was being serious, and she needed to be patient with him.

He would try to be open with her. He was curious that she seemed to like him being jealous. While on one hand he could understand, jealousy had caused many people to do horrible things. Zeus and Hera were constantly fighting for a reason. When he said they had nothing but friendship, he hadn’t wanted to push her away, but wasn’t it too soon for anything else? Shouldn’t they try to build a real strong friendship before they consider anything else? He did like her, but that didn’t mean they were anything but friends. He didn’t want to move too quickly. Both of them seemed a bit fragile in this department. He was inexperienced, and he didn’t want to rush into anything. He tried not to react too much after understanding lit his face, when she mentioned Eros. He could tell that the recognition in his face had made her uncomfortable, so he tried to minimize it.

Hades felt a little squirming doubt in the back of his mind. There was a reason she had fallen for someone as charming and pretty as Ares. Hades knew he would never be able to match that no matter what. He wouldn’t run away now, but it gave him a little more self doubt. It led to lots of little thoughts. He knew that Eros had a habit of moving through women rather quickly. He wondered how long it had taken him to build something with Persephone, and how quickly he had left her. How long had he played with her before he finally abandoned her? He nodded his head understanding that statement. He wasn’t an angry god. Since emotions hindered the justice he was supposed to bring onto those who had passed into hsi realm, he tried to keep them locked away. It made making fair decisions easier.

If he did rise in anger, it would be so spectacular he could probably destroy his brothers, and they were considered the strongest. Nobody expected Hades to do anything that drastic, but Hades had a lot of hidden built up power. For Hades if someone died, they would come to join him, so it wasn’t as big of a deal as it would be for others. It was one more companion to add to his mansion of many rooms. However, not many people wanted to stand around having conversations with the Lord of the Underworld. They still did their own things, and Hades left them to their own devices. Hades wished he wouldn’t sound like he was whining so much. He regretted saying anything. Perhaps he hadn’t tried hard enough. Yet there was a reason he had been kicked down into the world in the ground. Sometimes, when someone wished they would be swallowed by the ground, Hades, who could be aware of their feelings, was tempted to grant their wish.

He didn’t want them to always feel as awkward as he did. He began to feel stressed that he was about to cry in front of her. No pressure his sarcastic thoughts taunted him. He smirked, when she said that he wasn’t someone to be feared. On a normal day, that was true. No one, not even himself had seen his full potential. There were so many dead, that if he unleashed them all, he could take on the entire world. It would be quite the apocalypse. He smiled, because he did believe her about that. Some of the things she did didn’t line up. He didn’t realize that she might already have a crush on him. He cocked his head with a smile at the idea that she would love him. If she was saying it was possible, maybe it was. How were you supposed to respond to the possibility of something? Should he repeat her own words back to her? Nothing clever was coming to mind, and he didn’t want to say something completely idiotic.

He tried to say it in a light hearted way, but he wanted her to know that he was serious also, “Perhaps I could love you one day,” he echoed what she had said back to her. He nodded his face clearing from confusion at her explanation. As long as she was feeling something. He supposed it was a similar thing for him. He could see something with her, and he wanted something to work between them. “I think it’s something similar. I wanted you to know that I care, and that I hope something will happen between us,” he felt that he should probably explain himself. He took kisses seriously also, so he didn't want her to think he was playing around. He gently supported her back with his arm happy that she had sat down. He was a little surprised at how moody he was. He tried to hold back any signs of resignation at being interrupted, when someone came to the door.

His ears pricked at hearing Hermes, and he knew there was no chance of ignoring him. He wondered what Hermes would think if he saw Hades here. Should he think about leaving? "Do you think Hermes will mind being here?" he tried to keep himself from doing any of his nervous tells, instead becoming still rather than the natural slow relaxed happy movement of earlier. He cocked his head surprised that he was a priority. Instinctively, he returned the kiss, as she headed toward the door. He smiled, "I can stay." He hoped nothing crazy was going on down below. He wasn't sure how remeeting Hermes will go. Hermes often visited him helping those find their way to the Underworld. He was pretty cheerful, and he could see why she had friended him. "Hey," he sort of waved to Hermes. He could see that Hermes wasn't expecting him to be with Persephone, probably for a multitude of reasons.

"How are you doing?" he didn't want to stand there in awkward silence. He could see the numbers adding up in Hermes' head, as he realized what way Persephone and Hades had been there. Hades felt even more uncomfortable, but he wasn't sure what to do. He sort of melted and hid behind Persephone, since Hermes was her friend. Hermes seemed like he was hesitating between leaving, and staying because he had already interrupted them. Hades gave Persephone a look asking if he should stay. Perhaps he should just leave them to talk. He didn't want her having to choose between him and Hermes this early in the game. Hermes might have been wanting and expecting time alone with her anyway.

[This sucks as it has been ages since I actually wrote anything. I hope this is decent enough.]

It has been ages since Persephone has loved someone that wasn't her mother. She remembered what it felt like to be loved. It was something she enjoyed as it was something that enveloped her in warmth and security. Though, the one thing she hated about it is that she relied on her partner for too many things, thinking that if she supports him, he would do the same. That never happened in the slightest. When someone would pick on her or even threaten her for whatever reason for being with the God she was with, he did nothing to defend her.

On top of everything that he has done to her as well as the people that she loves, she built a wall around her to prevent anyone from trying to pierce through it again. It lasted for decades until Hades came up to the world and greeted her for the first time. She doesn't know how he was able to wiggle his way through the wall and into her heart, even if it is the slightest emotion she is feeling towards him. With how fast it happened, she is afraid that he will only hurt her in the end. Not physically, of course, but emotionally. She hopes that doesn't happen, but if it does, it's just another person she can't trust.

She carded a hand through her hair, pushing the stray strands of her platinum hair out of her ocean blue eyes. Perhaps she needs to stop thinking about that. She needs to stop thinking about how everyone is out to make her feel something for them and only hurt her in the end. She knows that people have pure intentions at first, but that eventually seems to be forgotten after learning about how innocent she is.

Her gaze flickered to his, her eyes widening slightly when he also said that he could perhaps love her one day just as she could to him. She didn't think he would say such a thing, considering they haven't known each other long. It's also the fact that he seems to be quiet and not as adventurous as she is, wanting to see different places around the world. Regardless, perhaps he will bring her to the places he wants to one day or let her go with an escort if he doesn't want to go or won't be able to leave the duties of the Underworld.

If anything, she didn't think he would've considered even loving her for some reason since it seems that most people say that but never actually do. "Well, I am glad that you also think you could love me one day." She smiled slightly at him, her gaze flickering over his face. She wanted to see if he would be having second thoughts about it, but she couldn't see any indication of it. "And I care about you." She stood up from his lap, a small smile lingering on her lips. It seemed devious but still has the hint of innocence to it. " So, if someone tries to harm you, you let me know and I'll give them a piece of my mind." She said as she threw a wink towards him.

When Hermes knocked, it seemed to take them both by surprise that someone is visiting her house this late in the afternoon. Of course, she isn't complaining since her long-time friend has finally decided to pay her a visit after leaving her in the dark for months on where he was. If anything, she would prefer that he would leave so she can spend time with Hades, but she has a feeling that she might not see Hermes in many more months if she sent him away.

He glanced towards Hades when he asked him Hermes would mind him being here. It might surprise him at first and will make him want to protect her at all costs, but she doesn't think it will be a problem. "I don't think so." She said, seeming to be unsure. She smiled happily when he said that he would stay, even though she has a feeling that he will be uncomfortable around the other God. "Music to my ears." She teased.

After she leads Hermes into the kitchen, he seemed to be confused as to why Hades is in the same house as her. Even though Hades seemed to melt away and, in a way, hide behind Persephone, he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her flushed against him. His eyes were narrowed, his gaze studied the God with weariness. He glanced down at her as if asking for an explanation, but didn't give her enough time to do so before his eyes snapped back to Hades when he spoke.

"I'm doing... fine." He trailed off, confusion swimming in his eyes at how nice Hades seems to be. His grip loosened slightly on Persephone, yet he still kept her against him. "What in the world is going on here. Someone please explain before I whisk Persephone away from here."

She glanced between the two, seeing Hermes being confused and Hades looking at her as if asking her if he should stay. She grumbled under her breath, gently pushing Hermes away from her and standing in between the two. He didn't want anything to happen between the two for some reason. She pursed between the two, not sure what she should say.

She looked towards Hades. She can see that he doesn't want her to be choosing between the two of them. If she ends up with him, then these two will have to get along. She sighed, once again carding a hand through her hair to gather her thoughts. Hermes will understand, right? She sure hopes so or she is going to have to kick him out of the house.

"Hades is my friend." She could hear him mutter 'oh boy' under his breath. "And before you ask if mother knows, she does." She could see how surprised he is that her mother seems to be alright with this pairing. "I know, surprising."

"That is an understatement." His gaze slid to Hades once again, wondering if his intentions are pure. He is sure that they are considering he is one that has been around many women or how to even speak to them. "Fine. If he does hurt you, I won't hesitate to give him a piece of what he deserves."

She went to Hades and leaned down next to his ear as Hermes took a seat. "You can go if you want. I won't hold it against you if you do." She whispered for him to only hear. "I'll make something to eat since it is that time already." She said as she bounded towards the counter and started to prepare some food.

"Love is a choice," he muttered. His eyes widened, confused that she would say he was more important.

He tried to smile, but it didn't reach his eyes. Hades backed off when Hermes pulled his shield, Persephone, away from him. Even though he was trying to shrink into himself, he was one of the three main powerful gods, and he was certainly larger than Persephone and Hermes. Although it was clear from the way his head was down and he seemed hunched, he was also a large individual. He had the capacity to look intimidating. The questions in Hermes' eyes were apparent, and Hades began to regret hanging around. Hermes would want a good talk with Persephone alone. It was probably why he had come at such a time, so Hades was merely the intruder.

Say hi his thoughts whispered at him. Be polite. There is a reason they think that you hate everyone, and it’s not just because you remain isolated down in the Underworld. Smile, if you can’t do anything else. Instead he became stiffer. He felt like he was freezing over, and he couldn’t find any words to say. He began to break out in a sweat and bead along his brow. The look Hermes was giving along with what he said next didn’t help. What authority did Hermes have to take Persephone away? Hades had done nothing wrong being here, and Hermes often saw Hades, when he carried messages. A cold claw crept around his heart, as he thought of Persephone leaving, because Hermes thought that he had done something terribly wrong. Hades began to look around for an exit. The easiest way was pushing past Hermes for the door and letting the ground swallow him up. Unlike many people who wished to disappear through the ground, Hades had that ability. He wanted to leave, but he couldn’t move as long as the other male was looking at him directly. It was like his gaze chained him where he was.

As Persephone mentioned that Demeter hadn’t stopped them, he felt a little encouraged. This wasn’t Hermes’ home, so there was no reason Hades couldn't visit, because he had been welcomed to some extent by those who dwelled here. He flinched at Hermes’ “oh boy.” He supposed he should be glad that Persephone had such a staunch protector, but all he felt was fear. He was very capable of hurting her, because he was stupid and fearful. He had trouble keeping people around unless they were dead. However, he reminded himself. He was the god of the Underworld. He was steady, consistent, and constant. There was no way that the flighty Hermes could do more than annoy and inconvenience him.

His face had paled and he gave her a wan smile, hesitantly reaching out a hand wanting to envelop hers in his. He stopped, when she leaned down to whisper to him. "I do think I had better be going. I don't want to annoy your friend any longer. Can I come again soon?" he kept his voice quiet and undertone. Perhaps he'd ask her what had passed between them while he was gone, if he was allowed to come back soon. He stared after her wondering if he should have stayed for the next meal. Keeping one eye on Hermes he arose and snuck out. Back outside, he felt safe, since he was touching the earth. It would be simple enough for it to part ways and he make his home back down under.

~~~~~
It was a week before Hades regained his courage enough to consider going back and visiting. Everytime he started heading for the surface, Hermes' judgemental stare bore through his imagination and into his heart. This time he would scout out the area and make sure no one other than Persephone or Demeter were home. It took him a whole day to settle his affairs, so that the Underworld could function without him for a little while. The next day that he planned to go visit, he spent the whole day sprucing himself up. There wasn't much that could be done to improve his appearance, and it was mostly a waste of time. On the next day, he took half of the day to make sure everything was running smoothly before he took his charriot out and asked Charron to let him cross on the ferry.
Steadily, on his way toward Persephone's place, his horses halted nearby. Would she like to go for a ride with him? Was he trying too hard to show off? Was this his way of looking tough or cool? "Persephone! Persephone! Are you home?" Properly, he was supposed to wait in his charriot. Even though he was excited and anxious, he maintained his manners. It seemed awful quiet around here, and he slowly began to feel a deep dark sinking feeling. In a quieter voice he called, "Hermes?" This was odd. He'd give them another minute or so, another shout and wait before he would get down and investigate the area.
It was rather sunny and would begin to burn his delicate pale skin, if he stayed outside for too long. Not too long ago they had gone swimming to cool off. Already his most recent memories of her were becoming some of the most pleasant memories he had in his mind. At least the most cheerful ones that directly belonged to him and not someone who lived in his mansion. Finally, he decided he had waited long enough for propriety's sake and headed for the door. "Demeter?" he whispered trying to peer through the entrance. "I don't see Persephone around here."
(Let me know if you need more)
[So, I do remember we talked about her being kidnapped. I hope this is okay because I wasn't too sure what to do and I'm really rusty with my writing right now. Just PM me if you have questions.]
It has been a few weeks since Hades came by, which was definitely quite odd to Demeter. She knew that her brother cared for her daughter, but not coming by for a few weeks makes her feel otherwise. She let a sigh out as she sat at the kitchen table, her head leaning against her hands. Her daughter has been missing for a few days now and she has no idea where she is. She can't even feel her presence to know where exactly she could be. It made her sick to her stomach that someone could take her daughter away from her when she brings nothing but kindness to everyone. She cried the first day when she came home when she found out her daughter wasn't there. She looked in town and everywhere in the radius of their home and there was nothing.
What had Persephone done to have someone kidnap her?
Her head snapped up when she heard her name. She stood up so fast that her chair fell to the floor. Hope is seen on her face, thinking that it was Persephone, but when she saw it was only her brother, the hope shattered into pieces. Her body slumped, hating that she actually thought it would've been her daughter. It would be stupid for the kidnappers to let her go running home to her mother who would find the people who did this and personally kill them herself. That would be a big mistake if they did that and they probably knew it too.
"Oh, it's only you." She mumbled as she put the chair upright. She took a seat in it before glaring at him. Of course, he didn't see Persephone anywhere because she was kidnapped. If he had actually been here, this whole event could've been prevented. "Of course, she isn't here, brother." She spits. She stood up again, but this time, she advanced towards him. She shoved him harshly against the wall, her eyes cold and hard. "This is your fault." She sneered, but she knew deep down, this really wasn't her fault.
One moment she was angry and the next minute she has tears going down her cheeks at an uncontrollable rate. Instead of keeping Hades pressed up against the wall, she let him go but ended up hugging him instead. She needed this because she didn't know what to do. She felt so helpless that she isn't able to find her own daughter who has been missing. What an idiot she is to think that she thought leaving her alone with the maids was a good idea. When, or if, she gets her daughter back, she is going to make sure that either her, Hades, or Hermes always has an eye on her because she isn't going to be having this happen again.
"Hades..." She sniffed, trying to gather her voice just for a moment to speak. "Someone kidnapped Persephone."
~~~~~~~~

Persephone groaned as she woke, her eyes blinking multiple times before she was able to keep them open. She shifted, yet the sounds of chains were heard. She furrowed her brows as she glanced up, seeing her arms chained up above her from the ceiling. She could barely touch the ground with her feet, causing a huff to leave her lips. She wiggled a bit, seeing if she could break these chains with ease. For some reason, she couldn't. She looked a bit more closely at the chains, seeing something engraved into it. Her eyes widened slightly at seeing the symbols that were engraved. They were ones that are able to hold any type of Gods or Goddesses. She even felt dried blood on the side of her head, freaking out slightly that someone has her and is only going to hurt her.

"What in the bloody hell?" She muttered, wondering what the hell could be going on for her to be kidnapped.

She looked around the room, seeing she is in the basement. Well, a metal basement. At least the walls don't have engravings on them like the ones on the chains that are holding her. Nothing else was really seen in the room except for a metal table and chair in the corner. She wonders why someone would even kidnap her. She doesn't remember doing anything that would cause someone to do this to her. Unless...

Maybe this has to do because she was letting some of the crops and the flowers die.

Oh boy, that was probably the case. Ever since she met Hades, her mind has been elsewhere and she hasn't really been doing the greatest job with the crops and the flowers. Perhaps some of the farmers came together to help kidnap her and ask her for answers as to why she hasn't been doing the job she should suppose to be doing. Then again, why would humans who would worship a Goddess kidnap her instead of just coming to her house and asking what was going on? Sometimes she wonders why humanity has to be so weird and stupid with handling events such as this.

She pursed her lips, trying to remember what she was doing before she woke up here. Ah, yes. She was in the wildflower meadow, as usual, enjoying the summer day with the breeze going through her hair and feeling the warmth of the sun shining on her face. She was sitting in the middle of the field making a flower crown for when her mother arrived when she heard some twigs snap. This caused her to stop what she was doing to look around. She didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, so she continued the task that she was doing at hand. Then, the next thing she knew, the world around her went completely and utterly black without any explanation.

What a mess this has ended up becoming.

Hades barely held back a sigh at her lack of enthusiasm as he popped in. He flinched a little not expecting the rather harsh answer from Demeter. It hurt more than he had anticipated or would admit. Slowly, his mind became less defensive, as he realised it was an exceptionally hostile greeting. He sensed that something was different about Demeter’s home. What has changed and why? He tried to calm his mind and make sense of the information he did have. It was his only real hope to help her.

He jerked back from her stabbing tone. How could it be his fault? What had he done? “What?” His brows furrowed. He felt like a rag doll, as she slammed him into a solid wall. “What can I do? How did this happen?” he managed in between while she rattled him. He gently patted her back surprised as she began to hug him. Her mood swings were hard to keep up with, and he found himself blinking, as if that would help him process. He supposed he should have guessed what she was going to say, but it hit him in the heart, and he felt cold dread begin to swarm over him. Should he have known that leaving her alone was dangerous? Who would bother a god to kidnap her?

His mouth dropped a little. “What?” he knew that he was repeating himself, and it was a very weak response. “Why would someone bother her? Do you have any idea how this happened?” He supposed he could see why she had been so mad at him, and then gave up. “What can I do to help Demeter? You know I want to find her. I could release some of the spirits and have them look for her. Between us we can ask the animals to report back to us and spy around.” He was throwing out suggestions without too much thought. Now was the time for action. “How far could they have taken her? What methods have they subdued her?” he muttered under his breath. “That’ll help us determine how far from here she is.” He added to himself and how worried they should be. She looked like a mature girl or a young woman. How could somebody do that to her?

The questions circled again. Why? How? Why? How? He tried to think of other things that would be more helpful for the moment, but his mind kept going back to those two short simple questions. “Are you going to go to Olympus?” People didn’t like him around. He wasn’t sure if there was more chance of them helping Demeter or himself. He had a more frightening persona, so they might be afraid not to help him, but they also wouldn’t want to be around him. Their help would be distracted and not as thorough. There was no reason for them not to help Demeter, but she wasn’t considered the most powerful goddess. “Hermes is her friend. He might know something. Or Eros. Perhaps he’s taking revenge on something.” He shrugged helplessly, feeling like his suggestions were useless. He felt his hands wanting to tremble and shake.

"You should go to Olympus. They'll help you." He added as a second thought. People tended to do whatever they could to avoid him. "I can talk to Eros." As he had broken Demeter's daughter's heart, he might be able to get more out of him. He also thought that Demeter might be too angry to let him speak any. He also realized that it would be weird for him to do the interrogating. Perhaps they would both have to go together. The god of love wouldn't want to get into more trouble with another goddess, especially an overprotective mother. He wasn't sure who was the best person to interogate Hermes, so he hoped that Demeter would have a suggestion. Persephone must be very frightened. Would she try to escape?

"I recently heard that Eros has been banned. I can go find him. I have Cerberus." Or, as he would actually prefer, he could send out one of his underlings to bring Eros to the Underworld where he had much more power and control. However, Hades realized he had to do this job on his own. He wasn't sure if he could put away the control freak fears, but he knew that he had to be the one to find Eros. "Or maybe you can find him. I'm sure that while you care for plants, that you get more experience traveling the earth, so you will be able to find him. Or Hermes. He's known to be quite the traveler."

He traveled back to the Underworld to fetch Cerberus. He trusted that his nose would lead him to Eros. Being immortal left a dinstinctive scent for his large hellhound to follow. He looked at Demeter waiting to see if he would be doing the searching or if he would have a companion. Cerberus was hard to manage even if you were Hades, and much more challenging if you weren't. He had been a little concerned that spirits would escape the Underworld or strangers would find his world without Cerberus there to keep them in or out, however, it was a risk he was willing to take. There was the river Styx, which he expected would keep out many intruders. Dying would be halted, although the three hags of fate would be very angry with him. Hades didn't want Charon, the ferryman of the river Styx, transporting people without Hades there to approve their arrival.

Hermes was most commonly found on the rainbow bridge in between Olympus and earth. Although he was continually moving, he had many friends that he kept in contact with, so he should be easier to track down. "Shall we split up so we can spread more ground? I really do think you should go to Olympus. Hermes will probably show up there, and I've got Cerberus. We'll try to follow Persephone's scent, and if that doesn't work, we can go search for Eros or anyone else who you might think would be of interest." Why did he think that Eros would know anything? Persephone didn't want to have anything to do with him...right?

[I'm sorry this sucks haha. I thought you could also be Eros to even stuff out and whatnot.]

Demeter didn't mean to be harsh with Hades. She is just stressed that her daughter has been kidnapped and she has no idea who could've done it. Persephone has always been loved by practically everyone, so she doesn't understand why someone would just take her. It isn't like Persephone has ever been rude or ruined someone's life because of something she did. She never has and never will. It's like someone thought the worse of her and what she could potentially do in the future and thought that doing something about it now is better than waiting.

She noticed that Hades was so confused with everything from her blaming him for her daughter disappearing and then apologizing and hugging him as she cried into his shoulder. She found it slightly amusing that Hades never knew how to deal with situations like this nor will he ever seem to know what to do. She couldn't help it when the one thing she valued in life was taken away from her without anyone explaining to her why they did it. She hates all of this. All of this could've been prevented if she never became pregnant with Persephone in the first place.

She pulled away from Hades as she sniffed, her hands brushing away the tears that are lingering on her cheeks. She looked up at him as she shrugged her shoulders, not knowing why someone would do this not how it even happened in the first place. "I have no idea." She said with a defeated sigh as she plopped down into a chair. "When I came back, she was gone. I looked everywhere at places she could be before you came here. I just don't know anymore." She said as she let her head fall into her hands.

She knew that Hades would help find her daughter without her even asking him. He even proved it by asking what he can do to help. She couldn't help but let out a small smile at how much he wanted to make sure she gets home safe as well as making sure she isn't hurt. As he started to spit out suggestion after suggestion out, her mind started to swim with all of the information being thrown at her at once. She never thought that he would actually find someone he cares about let alone someone that would accept and care for the type of God that he is.

"Hades, calm down. I can only process so much of the information you are giving me at once." She said as she leaned back in her chair. She pursed her lips as he kept asking questions. "I'm sure far since, like I said, she was already gone when I came home. Not even the servants know what happened and have no idea where she is." She said, hating that not even the servants saw what happened to her daughter. Maybe they were given something or a spell was cast on them to where they don't know what was going on during the time the person took Persephone. "No idea. They probably snuck up on her and were able to get the drop on her that way."

Her brow raised when Hades asked if she was going to go to Olympus. As much as that sounds like a good idea, she feels like no one would want to help her nor would they know who could've taken her. Then again, if she told Zeus about it, she knows that he would help find her considering that Persephone is his daughter after all. She knows that Hades can't go up there as no one likes him to have him go up there. Sure, they might have a get-together every few hundred years, but even then they didn't like having Hades around.

"Probably a good idea since I know Zeus would try to at least help a little bit in finding her." She said as she rubbed her forehead, trying to figure out who else she can ask. Though, she didn't have to think too much before Hades brought up the two key people. He brought up Hermes and Eros. She knows that Hermes might know something but Hades did make a great point in saying that Eros is probably taking her revenge on her. "If he took my daughter, there is hell to be paid." She growled as her eyes narrowed.

She has a feeling that Eros probably did take her. If that were the case, she will personally rip him apart piece by piece until there is nothing left. Then she will take his pieces and burn them until they disappear. Granted, he will have to answer to the court of Olympus for taking Persephone before she can try anything to hurt the man. She hates the laws and rules, but there is nothing she can do about it unless she wants to be put before the court as well.

"Yeah, Eros was banned because other Goddesses stood up with Persephone with what they had done to him. The court didn't tolerate it, so they banned him from ever coming to Olympus. Well, until he can prove otherwise, which clearly won't be in his favor if he is the one behind this." She explained with her hand moving around as she talked. She did this often when she can't sit still or there is rage that is bubbling under the surface that is begging to be unleashed onto someone.

Sure, she could go find Eros like Hades said, but she knows that won't be a good idea. She didn't like what he did to Persopne decades ago and never confronted him about it, so she doesn't think it would be a good idea for her to find him. Especially when if he is the one that took her as well, which wouldn't help his case. Besides, she knows that Hermes is up in Olympus so it wouldn't work for Hades to go up after the messenger to get the information the God may or may not have.

She sighed as she stood up. "Go after Eros. You find him, you take him where you feel like you can get answers out of him, even if that means you have to drag him to the Underworld." She said as she opened a door and grabbed a coat from the closet. "Or you can even unleash Cerberus on him and rip him to shreds. He deserves it." She said nonchalantly. "I'll go up to Olympus and talk to both Zeus to see if he will help and Hermes if he has any idea on where she could be." She went up to him and placed a gentle hand on his cheek and gave him a soft smile. "I appreciate you helping me find her. You are a good man even if you don't think so and if others say otherwise. I trust that you will do anything to find her. Be safe since Eros is an unpredictable God." She said before she left him and headed up towards Olympus.
