Eilki inclines her head slightly, her sea green eyes sharply studying the surroundings. Something was off, it was too quiet in this part of the woods. Though the princess is quickly distracted by the knight's words. Eilki flashes a small smile,"Of course, thank you." She glances around,"Yes, it will be nice." If we make it, she thinks to herself just as Nyx returns. The large black wolfdog skidding to a halt in front of Eilki, her eyes wide and hackles raised. Eilki pulls Autumn to a halt,"Nyx?" The wolfdog spins and growls at the undergrowth, just as a speark lands at the paws of the wolfdog. The princess draws her blade, keeping her mare under control. They were being attacked!

Kyle nodded his head to her, he knew this must feel weird being in a new environment and such. It definitely felt weird to him, though he started to admire the beauty of the land. There's so much to see out here, the forest looked as if it stretched for miles. It's truly breath taking. Kyle looks down to Nyx, she seemed panicked which made him alert. He looked toward the undergrowth, he pulls back the reins on Liberty the horse seemed agitated too. Kyle pulls out his sword, he jumps down from Liberty and men rush in for an attack. Kyle uses his years of training as a knight and starts putting his skills to the test. One by one he cuts the men down. He's now glad he sharpened his sword before leaving. His only focus now is keeping the princess safe.

Eilki mutters a quick word to her steed before leaping off, brandishing her sword. Yes, Kyle was there to protect her, but that didn't mean she was going to sit there and do nothing. "Protect the horses!" Eilki orders Nyx, who leaps to obey. Cutting off a attacker who was headed to lame the horses so the princess and knight couldn't escape. Eilki's blade flashes to meet another blade as one of the attackers turn on her. The princess forces the attacker back, step by step until he was at the edge of the path. Eilki hisses in pain as the man's blade slips past her defense and sinks into her flesh at the shoulder. Though the princess was quick to push the man away, hissing in pain again as the blade is drawn out. Though despite her injury, she kept fighting. Turning to take on a second man as he leaps to attack.

Kyle is surrounded by three men, they are a lot bigger then him and definitely have some muscle. However this didn't bother him, Kyle is quick with his blade, he kicks one of the men down and punches another in the face. Kyle grumbles at the third man as he charges toward him. The man grabs Kyle's word, pulling the blade put of his grip. The man grins "What you gonna do now?" He mocks. Kyle growls, if there's one thing in this world he hated its the fact of someone else taking his sword. Kyle didn't even give any warning he launches himself forward at the man taking him down and pinning him. He is able to snatch his blade back and points it at the man's throat "Never disrespect my sword" he growls. The man scrambles away, heading deep into the forest. Kyle huffs, they had barely left and already trouble is starting. Though Kyle had to admit, he liked a bit of danger.

Eilki sends her two fleeing into the woods, before turning on another one. Sending him fleeing, before she watches as Kyle makes a few more flee. The woods were now quiet and Astra glances at the horses, double checking they were okay. As well as her wolfdog, before glancing at Kyle,"Are you injuried?" She asks as she cleans off her blade and sheaths it. Ignoring her own injuried shoulder It felt like a medium cut, and it would be fine.

Kyle watched the men as they run off into the safety of the forest. He huffs, glancing to his sword and places it back into its holder. That all seemed exciting. He glances to Eilki when she speaks, he shakes his head "No, I'm fine. Thanks for asking though" he says. He approaches her "It looks like you got hurt though, will you be okay?" He asks, concerned. Kyle is honestly thankful that they were strong enough to fight these men off. It could have been a lot worse. He felt slightly bad though because Eilki did get hurt, it wasn't too bad but still. He felt like he wasn't doing such a good job right now.

Eilki nods, that was good. Then she glances down at her arm, shrugging her good one. "Nothing to bad. Just a clean stab." Eilki glances up at the darkening sky,"Let's find a place to camp for the night and I'll tend it there." The princess glances at her wolfdog, then back to Kyle. Flashing a brief smile, before walking over to her steed, and snagging the reins. "Father warned me it would be a dangerous route." Eilki rolls her eyes,"It would have helped to have more guards." She glances at Kyle,"You're doing great of course, but there is safety in numbers."

Kyle nodded, he's glad that she isn't too badly hurt but he still felt bad. It could have been a lot worse though at least now he knew he could defend them. He climbs back onto Liberty sitting comfortably on the saddle. He looks at Eilki as she spoke, he had to agree with her. It did seem kind of foolish just being one guard. It did worry him that the journey would become more dangerous. He sighs "You are right, I do agree.." he says. He looks toward the forest "but let's go find somewhere to camp, maybe eat too" he says glancing back at her again and smiling warmly.

Eilki grunts slightly as she swings herself up on Autumn, pain flickering through her arm. The princess nods, before returning the smile. She clicks to her steed who starts off, Nyx on her heels. The wolfdog tense and alert, eyes and ears flickering around. Eilki muses,"Perhaps like a cliff overhang. Something for us to put out backs to. Perhaps it could trap us, but it could also help us from keeping anyone from approaching from all sides." Suddenly a cliff overledge appears and Eilki gently pulls Autumn to a halt, gesturing at it. "What about that?"

Kyle watched the princess with great interest, he wasn't so sure about this journey. He did feel that more then one guard should have come with him then at least their is safety in numbers. Though Kyle wouldn't judge the Kings actions. He had one job to do and that's it. Kyle clicked to Liberty as the princess set off, his steed following beside hers. He nodded at her "Yeah, that seems a good idea. It will keep us away from trouble, hopefully.." he says. Kyle glances around looking for a good spot for them to spend the night. He looks toward the cliff pulling Liberty to a hault "That should do" he says. He guides Liberty toward it, it would definitely do for the night and at least it was out of sight.
