Sky smiled as he felt Rome's arm wrap around him. "Hi." He said quietly. Once Rome was finished talking Sky asked, "What were you guys talking about." with a soft, quiet tone. "Just about your sister honey." Irene stated as she got up. Sky looked at Rome as fireworks went through his body. I hope she likes him Sky thought. "I'm sorry but I do feel just a tiny bit better." Sky said as he moved a bit closer to Rome. |

Rome nodded after Irene answered Sky's question. " Do you still talk with her ?" he asked leaning onto Sky as Irene left. Rome's eyes focused on Sky as he spoke, " I'm happy you're feeling better. That's all I could ask for. Same for your mother " he smiled. " Besides we all need breaks " he added, adjusting to Sky sitting closer. He stretched his hand, arm still around Sky before closing is hand again. |

"Not as much as I used to." Sky answered, leaning his head on Rome's shoulder. It was getting late so he was pretty tired. "Why did you stay, did you just want to talk to my mom?" Sky then randomly asked. "Sky baby are you hungry." Irene then said as she was in the kitchen, looking in the fridge. "Not really mama." Sky said as he nuzzled more into Rome and he closed his eyes. He knew very well if they didn't keep a conversation he would soon end up asleep. |

" Mm, I see. Have you tried reaching out recently? " he asked softly. Rome lowered his voice naturally to accomodate Sky. The teen rested his head atop Sky's before responding to him. " Uhm, well yeah. I just had an urge to speak with her, to formaly introduce myself y'know. After speaking he'd kiss the top of Sky's head and rub his shoulder with the arm around him. " We talked about a lot, me and your mother. I don't want to stir shit up, but i'm sorry for your loss mi amor ". Rome began repeatedly kissing Sky's head and rubbing his shoulder. |

"No I haven't." Sky said almost with a frown but a smile was brought back after he felt a kiss placed on top of his head. Once Rome had mentioned his dad he went silent, frowning to himself. "Yeah." He said quietly after a moment of silence. He clenched his jaw as he thought about his dad. "Okay, just stop thinking about it Sky." He told himself as he closed his eyes. A single tear fell down his face so he brought his hand up and wiped it away. |

Rome " I see.. " he'd add on quietly. After Sky responded with "yeah" Rome waited for more only to realize he triggered something. He looked down to Sky and noticed he began to cry. " Oh noo, don't- noo... cut that out " he tried. Rome took his free hand and cupped Sky's face. " Look at me hermoso, what's wrong. Don't cry nooo " he tried again. Rome mumbled a few things in Spanish, frantically. " Why the tear eh ? " |

Sky got up quickly, pushing Romes hand away. "I dont want to talk about it." He said, almost in a rude tone but he didnt mean for it to be. He then quickly glanced over at his mother. "Im sorry but you should go." He said to Rome as he looked back at Rome, this time with a cold-eyed expression. It was a sensitive topic for Skylar that he wasnt ready to talk about with anyone but his mom. |

Rome flinched slightly as Sky has pushed him. He hadn't expected such a reaction from him. Rome's eyes widened, he felt his heart begining to throb. He jus wanted to give his love to Sky, but was told to go. His mind flashed with moments/ memories with his dismissive parents. Rome stood up quickly towering over Sky. " What the *hell* is your problem ? Why don't you accept help, love, and genuine concern. Do you think you're above? Do you think you're *better* than me? " he boomed. Rome looked to his left, and turned slightly to steal a glance at Irene. Rome turned his attentio back to Sky shaking his heas and smiling. " Tuhh.. aha " he breathed out. Rome put his hands on his hips and slipped them into his pocket. " Oh i'll go. You won't hear from me " he countered, voice slightly cracked. Traumatic memories popped into Rome's head of his parents speaking to him as Sky was. The hittin, shoving, coldness in tone. " The neglect .. " he thought to himself. Rome picked up his bag storming off to the door. " Fuck you " the door slamming behind him. |

Sky stood still, Rome's words were in one ear and out the other. The only thing he heard was the door slam. He blinked, flinching. He turned around and gave his mom a quick stare. "He's like the others." He said quietly, as his face was filled with such sad emotion and tiredness. He then glanced to his door, walking straight to it as his vision got blurry. His eyes filled with tears as he tried not to break down, locking his door "Why would I ever think that this would work out." Those words echoed loudly in his mind as he made it to his bed. He curled up into a ball as he started to sob quietly. He knew he shouldn't be crying over this boy because they weren't even dating, they weren't even close yet. He didn't want another boy to fuck him up. He wiped the tears off his face as he covered himself in the blanket. Sky stared at the wall as he contemplated texting him, but maybe he should just wait, just a bit. His eyes grew tired the more he kept staring, he soon ended up closing them then falling asleep. |

Rome stood on Sky's front porch for a while breathing heavily. The crisp air hit his face as tears rolled down out of his eyes. His caramel skin reddened around his eyes, nose, and cheeks. Rome shook his head ans began walking home. He couldn't believe what had just happened. As Rome walked he's scream walking down the street. He didn't know where he was going, to be frank he didn't want to go anywhere. Each step Rome took felt heavier and heavier, as he turned a corner a store caught his eye. The dimly lit Open sign flashing in the window. It was a liquor store. Rome stood in front of the window peering into the store. His mind flashed images of his father drinking and his mother smoking. Rome huffed ruggedly before looking down to his feet. His mind raced at rapid speeds. He brought his head back up to the store and turned around abruptly. The boy dug into his bag taking his dab out. Rome took a few hits and continued his walk screaming. |
