Alvaro smiled happily, his wings normally mirrored his emotions so now he was about an inch or so off the ground with his wings flapping rapidly. His eyes were bright and happy, The mark on his face pulsed with a green glow. "Then we're even then. No owing nothing. So, would you like to get started on making the border today or tomorrow? Because you're going to need a lot of energy in order to really put out more power. Especially since you aren't used to this."

"There is no better time than the present!" Rowan chirped by way of answer. Even if you magic wasn't strong, her body and stamina were - that had to count for something.

Nakia had spent the day sleeping but woke up when the light rose the day after Rowan and the faerie had found her. The tents were weird and uncomfortable to her, so she carefully crawled out on gentle feet. Amber eyes searching for something to drink and eat. She was a growing lion and needed her food. The faerie still slept in his tent. He was an odd, excitable thing but ancient too. She just gave off that old person vibe sometimes. Like while he slept.

Rowan was sat in front of a small fire, deep in thought. Though, she wasn't too far gone to not hear Nakia. She looked over her shoulder towards the small girl, "Good morning..."

Nakia slipped over to Rowan. Her feet making practically no noises the dewy morning grass. She was barefoot, not needing shoes since they were for people with weak feet. She did not have weak feet. She was fierce and strong! Well, not strong enough to defend mama. Or save her. "Why do humans say good morning? It's such a weird thing to say." Nakia plopped down next to Momma Rowan. Her amber eyes looking up at the woman curiously. Humans were so silly.

Rowan thought about that for a moment, "Saying good morning... we are attempting to set a good mood for the day. We hope to have a good morning, and send that feeling to others." Gently, Rowan pulled Nakia onto her lap, letting the child pull away if she wanted to.

Nakia smoothly slid into Rowan's lap. Smiling with her big eyes. She easily curled up, it was nice to have someone to hold on to. "Still weird. Or at the very least, uh, what's the word.. hm." Nakia's brow furrowed as she tried to figure out the word. It was easy, three letters or something. Finally, Nakia found it. "Odd! Its very odd. At least say something happy like 'the forest is very lively today.' Or even better! 'I hope the hunt is well today.' Something useful!" Nakia sighed, seeming exasperated over the humanness of it all.

Rowan found herself laughing lightly, "Yeah," She agreed, "Humans are odd, I suppose. But, it is all I've ever known. What is weird to you is normal to us, just like how saying 'I hope the hunt is well today,' as a common phrase seems odd to me. We are all different, Nakia," Rowan's voice was soft and gentle, partly so she didn't wake up Alvaro, and partly because Rowan felt that loud and abrupt noises might startle the poor child in her lap.

The shifter gently adjusted herself on Rowan's lap. Shaking her small hand that had fallen asleep in the seconds she'd been laying on it. "I guess. It's just odd. Everyone's so.. different. Humans always killing the trees and forest. The faeries always being all peaceful and bleh. Mages creating big boundaries that is shifters aren't allowed to go through. And us shifters just trying to go along with it. Like the manticores that k-killed mommy. They were to strong. Mommy always was able to overpower them. Something taints the forest Rowan. It's scary." Nakia shivered softly in Mommy Rowan's lap. Her amber eyes staring at the fire sadly.
