I start. Another shifter. I assume a less aggressive stance. "I am Alex Wolff. I come from the town. I am here only to cool down." I twitch one ear slightly. "I recognize you. Now it is your turn to ansewer. Who are you?" I ask.

Pierce stepped back, shocked. Alex? Couldn't be. We ahven't seen eachother since the school... He sat down, fur ruffled. "I-I didn't know you were still around." He turned, showing her his scar. Maybe she'd reconized him if she saw it. "I-It's Pierce..." He said, standing up and looking away. "I thought you'd leave after what happened with the school, like Lyka and Skylar." A pain shot through him, but he ignored it. It had been years since the mess at the magical building, his friends breaking apart and moving far away from the traumatizing memories.

"Pierce! I was just too lazy to move. Besides that'll happened like, 10 miles away. You still doing around here? I thought you would go to. You were friends with them longer than I was." I whack my tail. "What are you doing out here anyway? I haven't seen you around town much"

Pierce didn't look at Alex. "I stayed. Keep the forest safe. Don't go into town, can't. There's too much people." He glanced back at her. "I can show you where I live. It's not far from here." He stood up, nudging his nose towards the fallen tree. "the entrance is just over there."

"I don't see a reason why not. Maybe sometime when You deam with the forest to go without you for a couple minutes, you can see where I live." I say. I haven't seen Pierce since school. Last remember I have of him is the two of us running off, looking at stars, and running away again when The weird magical episode got out of hand. I think I liked him then. I can't remember. So long ago. "you live under a tree? Was this the same tree?" I ask.

Pierce shook his head, and for once a small smile formed. "No. That one was closer to the school. And no, I don't live under it, I live... inside of it, in a way. I'll show you." He stood up and padded towards the fallen tree, waving his tail for Alex to follow. That one night. I only felt really happy that one night. An I still have that scar from that day with my brother... He gritted his teeth, not wanting to think about it. The entrance came in sight. "There. That's the entrance." He said, standing infront of it. "I'll go first."

I have no idea. But I won't say it. You look good, for an Introverted hobbit. Be quiet brain. I am not in need of your assistance. I watch Pierce walk in to the fallen log. I creep in after him. It is surprisingly spacious in here.

Pierce looked back. "Seems you forgot I have mind reading." He grinned, turning back into the tunnel. "But I've learned to block some things out. And in a way, I guess I am an Introverted Hobbit." He laughed quietly, leading Alex into the cave. "This is where I live. He said, stepping back to let her see the lanterns and rock formations. "I also made most of the glasswork and other, weird rocks."

"Oh, shoot." I say under my breath. "I forgot that." I look around and let out a gasp. "This is cool! I didn't know you could make glass. Oh wait I think it was that bird on the windowsill, of Lyka." Brain, function. I wag my tail a little and smile.

Pierce nodded. "I find pieces of glass by the ocean. It's not a long fly there, really. I bring a small pouch to put them in and bring them here." He stood up fully, transforming into his human form as he reached to grab one of the glass figures; a wolf, howling. Suddenly, he remembered he still had his bandana on, pulling it down. "This was one of the first ones I made for here."
