" Do I care?" she retorted glaring at him " Why did mother hve to choose him of all the male in the world...Shes around him too much" she then looked away before standing up " If you wan me to come back to camp... I will... but I will not listen to my mother. Or do anything she wants"

Em was just upset . She layed down, with her head on her paws. Eyes closed.

Hunter sighed and nodded. "Okay then, let's head back to camp. I know you don't trust Mikael, but maybe there's a reason as to why your mother picked him." Star wasn't buying what he had to say about Mikael, but she did walk down with Hunter and they entered the camp once again, where Em was waiting for her daughter to come back. Oh boy; Star doesn't want to listen to her mom and Em does not look happy. This might not end well. Hunter stayed away from Em and Star as they stared at each other.

Em glared at Stardust " You better take back what you said about Mikael. Right here,in front of everyone, Star."

" I dont think I will, mother. Star glared back as she sat down on the opposite side of her. " You met him when you were still with father. thats betrayal"

" He betrayed me, Stardust. He promised to never hurt any one in the pack.. and then the mont he saw you and Dive he attacked. He also killed the little one way before you wereeven born. I left him because he would have killed you"

There was a silent long pause before Em walked over the meal and straight at her daughter. Attacking her. Snarls and yelps and whines a;ll happaned at the same time during the fight. But then it was over ten minutes later.

" I love you, Stardust...dont you understand that. Im protecting you and Dove from Lilac now. I know you want me to be happy with someone who is an alpha rank.. but it wont ever happen."

She looked at Miakel before walking to him and nuzzling him " I love him for who he is. Not for what he does. " she then licked his ear.

Mikael stared at Stardust, seeing that she still didn't approve of him, despite what Em said. Em licked his ear, but he didn't return the favor, instead taking a step towards Stardust. "Star, I understand why you may not trust me right now, but Em took you away from Lilac to make sure he would never hurt you. If you stayed with him, then he may have hurt you and Dove more. Please, let me prove to you that I can take care of you, your sister and Em." She took a step back, clearly not interested in what he had to say.

" Never" Dust said walking off

" Stardust@ Come back here right now and apologize to him. Hes only trying to help you" Em said walking to her nudging her side " please"

Star sighed and looked at Mikael " Im sorry... but no promises I'll be good all the time until I am able to trust every damn male here"

Em shook her head in disapointment as Star walked off to her spot by the food, waiting " Im so sorry, Mikael. Its only day one here for them.. Give them a chance. I will discipline her. I just dont know how...."

Dove on the other hand came up to her mother and nuzzled her " is that our new dad?" she whispered in her ear

" I dont know, baby. It all depends on how your sister Stardust behaves" The she looked back at Mikael with sadness in her eyes.

Mikael's heart was warmed when he heard Dove ask Em if he was their new dad. So... I'm a father now. This will be interesting. "You're fine Em, Star just needs some time to adjust to everything. A lot has changed recently, and plus Lilac wasn't the best father for her, so I understand why she may not be able to immediately trust me." He looked down at Dove, who was staring up at him. "Hey there Dove. My name's Mikael, and I'll be helping your mom Em take care of you. I guess you could say I'm your new dad." He said rather meekly. Star let out a disapproving growl but Dove wasn't as hostile. "So you're going to watch over us and help mom?" Mikael nodded, before looking to Star, who was still not a fan of Mikael.

" Hold your tongue, young lady or no meal for you tomorrow morning" Em warned her before focusing her attention to Dove and Mikael. " now... comeon.. lets go eat with the others. Im starving.. and then the three of us can go for a family stroll. How bout that, Dove?"

" Yes ma'am" she said nuzzling her then Mikael.

Mikael felt Dove nuzzle him, and he nuzzled back as they walked over to eat with Em. After getting their fill, Em, Mikael and Dove were about to leave to go on that family stroll, but Mikael wanted to try to convince Star. "Star, please. Could you come along please? Em would really appreciate it if you did." Mikael said to her. Instead of answering him, Star turned her back to him and ignored him. Mikael was hurt by this, but he knew that he wasn't going to be able to convince her.

" Mikael.. hun.. come on.." Em said wagging her think tail. Then got an idea. " Hunter ask Mikayla if her pups could hang out with Star til we get back. I dont want her sulking all day. Maybe give her something to do as well" then turned around and walked off with Dove on her tail. " so.. Mikael wanna go to the training place I brought you a long time ago? West end?"

"Of course." Hunter walked over to Makayla and asked her if Star could hang out and play with her pups, and she agreed that it could be what it takes to snap her out of her sulk. Makayla called Star over and she obliged, soon enough playing along with the others pups as Mikael, Em, and Dove left to go on that walk. Star's going to take some work to win over... looks like I have yet another thing to worry about when it comes to being a good dad for them. He looked at Dove, who was following Em closely. At least one of Em's daughters is willing to give me a chance.
