Ekon tied his horse up and stayed a bit away from Anasuri as the door opened. He had a feeling he knew where they were. He was soon proved correct when the tidal wave of children appeared. A small smile found its way onto Ekon's mouth. He decided that perhaps Anasuri was a pretty good princess. At his home town, no one had cared about the orphans running rampant on the street. The orphanage was always packed and couldn't accept the children. Ekon became the caretaker of the street children. He kept them all decently fed with the help of his few friends. Granted, his friends actually paid for the food while Ekon stole it but food was food. In the end, Ekon was happy to see these children being taken care of properly. |

The orphanage was currently packed full, but that was the reason for the meeting today. She would soon have construction underway to expand the building, and give funds for better beds and warmer comforters and clothes, and food, too. As each child grabbed some of the delicious treat they would chorus a 'thank you' to the vendor, and 'Auntie Anasuri.' Here, she was not the princess of the kingdom - she was part of the family. For once, Anasuri was completely at ease, laughing and smiling. |

Even Ekon let up a bit, allowing his smile to fully form on his face. His eyes turned a brilliant gold in color. He was just so happy to see the children happy. It reminded him of the few good times of his own childhood. |

Anasuri's saddlebag held her potion ingredients, and her heart held happiness. Being able to actually make a difference felt great - she wasn't just a useless princess. Their money and power could be put to good use. Anasuri was about to say something when Melion suddenly thrusted his head forward, pulling her body forward. She was about to scold him when a sharp sound whistled over her head, and a stinging pain made her shoulder tingle. |
