"Yes.." Kelly saw her mate coming. She sat down as her mate got closer. She was surrounded by males. "Look I already have a mate." She said.

"Well, he seems like a lousy mate to me. He would have already scented us if he didn't seem do lazy. So why not trade him out for me?"

Sky let out a fierce roar as he entered the clearing. Pouncing and pinning the male that was closest to Kelly. "What do you think your doing on my territory! Trying to take my mate!?" He growled

Kelly sat by a tree knowing her mate would want her somewhere away from the male. She didn't know if a fight was gonna go down.

"Hey!" The male squirmed "Get off me!"

"You didn't answer my question." Sky said, growling again. This time showing his teeth to the male.

"Ok ok! We saw this lioness all alone and thought she was up for grabs" The male said quickly "we'll leave! Please don't kill us..."

"Good choice. It would a waste to kill you young lions" Sky let the male up and watched him go back to the ground. "Next time I catch you hear, I won't be so kind"

The group of males nodded and quickly headed out of the territory.

Kelly rubbed against him gently. "Thanks. I think I know a good den that is surrounded by unexplored unknown territory and the cave is shielded by a water fall. Maybe we can live here." She said.

Sky smiled and nuzzled her, holding his leg up a little as he had fought through the shoulder pain when he had tackled and pinned the male. "That sounds like a nice place"

"Let's go.. I'll take you to it. If you need you can lean on me." Kelly said worried about her mate.

"No no its alright, I can walk by myself right now," Sky said with a smile, he didn't want to burden her or slow them down a lot in their travels.

Kelly took him to the waterfall. She walked through the water fall and there was a den. It was a great place to have Cubs so other males won't try to kill them.

Once behind the waterfall, Sky quickly sat down and then laid down. "This cave...is pretty neat" He purred
