Mayhem leaned onto River, which helped her on walking on the snow. "Thank you!" She smiled, and hoped her weird hallucinations didnt return.

River walked her through the forest, still having her lean on him. Then he asked " Want to try and walk on your own? Or do you still need me?" they reached the river, which was not fully frozen, but ice formed in parts on it. He went to it and drank a little before looking at Mayhem

Mayhem huffed. "I'll try!" She took a few steps forward, and was able to hold her balance. The dog crouched, and jumped into the pile on snow.

River sat on his haunches and watched her play she would make a wonderful mother.. even though she isnt one of us, wolves he thought. He let her play for ten minutes before getting her " come on.. on we go. " he said stepping to her side and nipped her gently.

Mayhem had buried herself in the snow, with only her head sticking out. She jumped out of the snow, sending sprays of white snow raining down. The dog shook herself to clear any clinging snow. "Okay."

" So, you never have seen snow?" He asked lookig at her. Making sure that they were clear of ice and snow." It gets really high here. So, everyone has to be careful, I had a member get lost. They never came back."

They finally came to the edge of the forest, where he first met her and looked out. " its a dangerous place, Mayhem, even here. You never know what lerkes in these forests"

Mayhem shook her head. The happy canine suddenly became very solemn. "I know. I know it all way too well. Me and Milo were strays for a while, before those cruel beings picked us up. I'd almost got ran over by a truck and-" She whimpered, before continuing. "Lost one of us."

River nuzzled her " Hey.. dont think of the past, Mahey. as long as you obey my rules and stay in the forest, you are forever safe" With me he thought.

"Oh, Crow. How you would've loved to see the snow," Mayhem trailed off. She sighed and looked down at her paws, leaning over on River.

" Come on, dear" Back tot he den you go. Plus its feeling time, prolly hungry"

He slowly led her back to the pack group " COem on everyone, time to eat. I know its winter and food is scarce. But we have to survive this winter."
