"Smoke! It's been a while, hasn't it?" Inferno said.

"Yeah...I haven't seen you since you went on your Wander." Smoke said, walking over to Inferno and touching noses with her. He then sat down. "Listen, about Dust...he - he's --"

Inferno interuppted him. "Yeah I know..."

Smoke looked surprised. "Really? Then you must know we're having the vigil tonight." As he said that, he looked at the setting sun. "We sould be getting back. So come on. Our parents will be happy to see you and to know you're safe." He stood up and started to turn.

"Wait! I have a friend... he helped me fight the hyenas."

Smoke turned around, and peered behind Inferno. Seeing Alone from the corner of his eye, Smoke narrowed his eyes. "You trust him? He safe?"

Inferno nodded. "Of course he is!"

Smoke relaxed, then motioned them to follow him. "Then come on. Your friend can stay at our camp till you guys leave... Unless you're going to stay with us?" He said, gazing at his sister.

Inferno hesitated. "I-i don't know...maybe but...let's talk about this later." She turned to Alone. "Come on, Alone. If you want to, that is."

Alone got up and said "I'll come since I don't know this area "which was a lie since he did he live half mile north from here alone got up and walks with them hoping they would trust him alone looks around and then sighed as he follows them he didn't really like being near a pack again since he thinks he won't protect them alone watches the two they look the same but inferno looks more different then him

Trotting down the path to the camp, shoulder to shoulder with Smoke, Inferno thought about what Smoke said.

Should I stay with them? Inferno thought. They're family, but...can I leave my loner life? I guess I could, but...I don't know.....

Entering the camp shortly after, Inferno's parents rushed up and pressed their muzzles against hers.

"Thank the stars you're safe! We're so glad you're okay!"

Alone walks with them but behind and stops when he saw the pack he shouldn't have come he doesn't know if they would accept him being there but he came for her so he had to think that more then anything else alone yawns and sat down curling his tail around him before sighing he remembered this place and the mountain that leads to his home

Inferno pressed her forehead against her parents, and wagged her tail.

Her mother pulled back and glanced at Alone. "I see you brought a friend." Her parents, and other siblings and aunts and uncles as they walked up to greet her, seemed friendly and open. "Who are you?"

Alone kinda growled he didn't like this at all now he was starting to get tensed and scared before hearing her question and said " alone but Don't worry about me I'll be outside of you camp"as he looks down but at them watching everyone step and move hoping they don't attack

Inferno winced, hearing the growl in Alone's voice. Her sister, Spark, tepped foward and sat next to Inferno. "You don't have to be so tense, Alone. We're not going to attack you." Smoke nodded. "If you want, you can share fresh-kill with us, before you go." He looked at his sister before saying. "I'm guessing you'll stay. You and my sister seem quite close."

Inferno felt flustered. "S-shut up, Smoke!"

Alone said "you have no idea what I was growling at and why I am tense I never been use to being in another pack " as he looks at them said " I might or might not stay depending of inferno if she is staying then no point of me staying " as he looks down and sighed he knew it was going to hurt her

Inferno stayed quiet, looking at her paws. Her father wrapped his tail around her shoulders. "Alright then, Alone. We're going to start the vigil. we'll see you in the morning." Smoke and Spark shot Alone a questioning stare, but then followed Inferno and Phantom, her father, when shadow, her mother, shoed them foward. Entering the clearing, Inferno saw her brother's body, wreathed in flowers and herbs. Greif crashed over Infenro, and she sunk down next to her brothers body, pushing her nose into his neck fur. Hurt as sharp as claws tore through Inferno's heart as she felt how cold Dust's fur was.

Alone nods and watches them go before sighing and trots away around the hole camp before laying on a tree and watching the camp on a tree hurt that he said that before jumping down and going into the camp and looks around so bored he through before jumping to the sight of a wolf pup in his memory and shakes his head and said "no no no"
