It felt as if the Sun was trying to boil him alive and season his body with sweat as seasoning. Wiping his forehead briefly, Jian examined the ground. " Well, I suppose we're the same. But not quite " he spoke charmingly. Jian twisted his body around, lowering himself to the ground. With a grunt the man squated besides the woman. Reaching for his travelling-pack to grab some equipment. " What do you reckon this is. . . ehm " Jian paused. He blanked on Baylees' name for second, surprising himself when he remembered. " Mrs. O'Quinn !" he tried. Why not throw her a jab?
