Hendrix finished his nap, waking more tired than refreshed. His alarm was only seconds from going off. He checked his tablet, no one had come or gone yet. He rubbed his face with his face, sitting on the edge of the bed. He redressed and decided to go check on the Prince and resume his post. Nearing the Prince's quarters, Hendrix could hear raised voices. He recognised Cade's and it took a moment before he recognised Martin's as well. He would let them get it off their chests. After a moment, though, he knocked and opened the door as they got even louder. He leaned his head around the door, not wanting to enter the room. "Everything okay, Sir?" He said formally with a blank expression, noting that the little Lord wasn't in the parlour with Cade and Martin. He eyed both Martin and Cade to make sure nothing had gotten physical. |

"Oh, yes," Cade snapped, annoyed at being interrupted. "I'm just being reinformed of a million things I already know. Go screw a maid or something." He turned back to Martin with renewed vigor, the pain in his voice evident. "Yeah, I'm pretty aware that he's not goddamn Beau, ok?" Cade turned away, stomping to his bedroom, and slamming the door behind him. He didn't care that he was acting like a toddler, and that Martin did have a point. He was simply irritated and tired and stressed, and he sure as hell wasn't going to stay out there with all the people he couldn't stand. Only a moment later, he couldn't stand being cooped up in his room, and he went out his window, running towards the rose gardens, his feet slipping on the damp grass, and his cheeks pink with the exertion. |

Hendrix flinched at Cade's words, he hadn't realised he was so upset by the idea of it. He glanced at Martin before looking away and closing the door, leaving them too it. He wasn't sure what to do about any of the things happening right then. A beeping sound brought his attention to his tablet, he pulled up the notification and then pulled the feeds. He watched the Prince climb out the window, sighing. He took off down the hall, watching the feeds as long as he could to know where he went. Hendrix kept a large distance between them, just needing to keep Cade in his eyesight. He stood stiffly, looking everywhere around them, unable to look at the Prince. He was out of ear shot, barely keeping the Prince in view. He hated the distance, too many people could still get to him but he wouldn't risk upsetting the Prince further. He would definitely start looking for his replacement, someone who wouldn't screw up like he did. He felt a little sullen at the thought of someone else doing this. |

Cade felt absolutely chafed by how everyone consistently treated him, and he channeled his anger into his movement, sliding along the lawns, and ducking into the rose garden. This time, he did not take the usual path. He slipped through bushes and leaves, letting the thorns rip his clothes and skin. He knew Hendrix was following him, and it made him that much more annoyed. He pushed through another bush, a sharp spike on one of the vines cutting deep along his cheek. He barely hesitated to brush the blood along his cheek, and continued on, finally making his way to a tiny alcove. It was barely big enough for him to sit down, and the vines were so thick, he couldn't see the sky.
It was a safe spot. Hard to find, practically invisible from above. He put his head on his knees, calming his breathing. He hoped Kit would be alright, and hadn't heard all the screaming. The boy was still mourning his brother, it wouldn't be right to have him head all the hubbub about losing Beau. |

(I am back from my stressful holiday XD very sick though so will be slow to reply while I recover) Hendrix wandered the gardens, he wasn't one-hundred percent sure exactly where Cade went but knew he was somewhere here. He was content to just be nearby while Cade took a moment. He pulled up next to a seat and sat down, crossing an ankle over his opposite knee to have the appearance of relaxing. He was feeling anything but, however. He gazed around the immaculate beautiful garden. He wanted to call out to Cade to find him, to explain what had happened this morning. God, was it really only this morning? Maybe, he should. There was no one else out here to overhear the drama at least. "My Prince. You don't want to hear from me, I know. But this morning was not what you thought it was. I have no intimate interests in anyone, especially no one inside the castle. The maid has been a nuisance from day one and you caught us just as I was trying to get her to leave me alone. I will, however, find my replacement and be out of your hair as soon as is possible to avoid any future uncomfortable situations for yourself." He said, in a clear voice. Not loud, yet carrying across the garden. Hopefully, the Prince could hear him and did not unhelpfully tune him out. |

Cade lifted his head at the sound of a voice, and could barely make out the words, if he listened carefully. After the speech ended, he slowly stood, and made his way out of the tiny alcove, wincing as the thorns ripped at his skin, and pulled at his clothes and hair. Finally, he exited the gardens. He fixed his face into a mix of superiority and sarcasm, and walked out, leaning casually against a bench. “Well, well. ‘No intimate interests,’ my ass. I walked in on you literally dominating one of the maids. There was no doubt that she was not looking for some kind of pleasure. I can’t believe you’d lie to me like that. And unfortunately, we’re stuck together. My father doesn’t let my bodyguards just quit unless they have a valid reason, and there is no way in hell that he’ll find that a ‘valid reason.’ So have fun hanging around the castle.” (Sorry for it being short! My baby has a stomach bug t-t) |
