☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽
werewolf ⋆ alpha male ⋆ mentions: Simon

A soft knock lulled Ikaris out of his half-asleep state, making his green eyes open slowly as he wiped his face with one hand. When a soft toned voice announced who it was, Ikaris dramatically dragged himself to sit upright and gently sighed. He had hoped that no one would try to follow him, but the pack member on the other side of the door was one who had never managed to upset him- or anyone for that matter. He couldn't just all of a sudden shoo him away, it'd be rude. Then, he answered him.

"Preferably not."

Getting up from the bed, the alpha male walked over to the door and gently opened it halfway, leaning against the door frame and offering a small smile, "Thank you though." A brief few seconds passed before he looked down to his hands, "If you heard any of that, I'm sorry. I don't like to bring drama into the house- well, not this time." He smiled at his own words. Ikaris did his best to try and joke, so he made the final part of his sentence in reference to the times he'd come back to the pack house a bit drunk or bruised, or both.

Sometimes he thought Simon was too nice for his own good. It was refreshing though, to have some as soft natured as him here. If one day he ever was to get upset and yell at anyone, Kari would tuck tail and run. When the nicest people get mad, then you know that you truly fucked up.

"So, you sent a message earlier asking if anyone wanted to do anything tonight, did you have plans? Like a movie or some casual hanging out and chatter?"

(a wee short post to get Simon some interactions annnd to drag Ikaris out of the bed <3)

Tori O'Connor

Werewolf - Pack Member - Mentions: Ikaris, Simon, other pack members (ind)

Tori reached out to Ikaris when he stated that he had deserved it but her hand fell when Ikaris then turned and left the room. Her eyes moved across the other members within the kitchen as she pulled her phone out of her pocket making note of the messages from Simon and Mosi. She lifted her gaze to look at Raven for a moment while putting the phone back in her pocket.

"Looks like Mosi made chinese for dinner. It is in the fridge." She then followed Simon as he left the kitchen but stopped to pick up her bag as she also headed upstairs. She paused at her door for a moment hearing Simon knock on Ikaris' door and as much as she wanted to stand and be nosey, she stepped into her own room setting her bag onto the computer chair by her desk. Tori then unzipped the jacket she was wearing and laid it over her bed as she pulled her phone out once more debating if she should send just a message to Ikaris but her thoughts were pulled away when the familiar name danced across the top of her screen.

Her pacing steps stopped for a second as she debated whether she would answer at that moment but the conversation from just moments before paused her fingers and she clicked over to send a text message to Carson.

**Headed home soon? Sent 6:22 pm & delivered**

A soft sigh left the female as she stepped out of her room once more, closing her door softly behind her. She offered a small wave towards Simon and Ikaris before putting in her earbuds that had been sitting protected in her pocket, as she went down the stairs putting on the song Shapeshifting by Taylor Acorn.

Instead of returning to the kitchen to either get something to eat or continue conversations. She moved over to the couch and sat down playing on her phone. The song offering a little bit of a distraction to the warring emotions within her head. Should she reply to him or should she just ignore like Carson would say? Her phone buzzed in her hand as Carson replied to the text.

**Will be home late. Picked up a double shift at the hospital. Tell Simon and everyone to not worry about me for plans tonight. Received 6:25 pm**

Tori shook her head with a soft snort but pulled open the group text to convey Carson's reply.

**Carson will be home late tonight so he said to count him out of any activities. Sent 6:25 pm delivered.**

With that she went back to focusing on the lyrics of the song and began typing some ideas into the notes section within her phone. Guilt causing the female to want to ignore the world around her as she worked through a way to make it back up to her friend.

Simon Oliver Reed
Medic Assistant || M || Mentions: Ikaris
The gentle giant had started to take footsteps backwards, ready to turn away and leave the alpha to himself after Ikaris had first replied. What kept him in place was the light footfalls on the floor in the bedroom, approaching the door. His fingers balled into his pockets and lungs withdrew a deep breath.
+
Simon was almost caught off guard by Ikaris' presence, but why, he was unsure. His breathing had stifled abruptly, and the tall creature cleared his throat to settle it. His lips twitched at the edges into a warm-hearted smirk while his brown eyes locked on his superior's green. "I understand," he had said with a soft laugh. It wasn't unusual for the alpha to come back home with alcohol on his breath; hell, even standing a foot or so apart, Simon could smell it on Ikaris' tongue. The medic felt sympathy as he studied the man's face. He looked tired, and he knew that the fight in the kitchen must have hurt deeply. Briar was extremely protective of him, Simon understood; everyone was, but Briar seemed to be more so. It must have stung to hear the anger in his words as they struck from his mouth from such a close friend.
+
"I don't have anything set in stone," Simon confessed, sending the point home with a slight shrug to his broad shoulders. "Mosi made dinner for us, I thought maybe we could talk, eat, and play cards or something. Light gambling never hurt anyone," Simon lightly joked. "But movies are always a good distraction. I'd give you the honor of picking one out if you were feeling it," he said with a sincere smile on his face. As much as he wanted to pry for details on the fight, he would respect Ikaris' wishes and not push any further for information. Simon hoped that the alpha would join in on the night's festivities. if he couldn't provide a shoulder to cry on, he had hoped to provide a distraction from the hurt. He glanced back to see Tori pass behind them, and lifted his hand to meet her wave her goodbye.
[Thank you<3]

.. Esmeray de Agnor Valencia ..
female vampire ⋆ loner ⋆ mentions: open

TW: Violence

The sun reclined behind the last bastion as the warm hues of light flickered into cooler, softer, darker hues. As daylight waned and succumbed to night, evil woke from its depths like a nocturnal predator. Preying, hunting, lurking, Esmeray mused at the writhing mortal before her. Bounded, gagged, blinded, she'd tug and pull at her restraints, searching for a way out that did not exist. How unfortunate the young woman was to cross paths with the rogue and even more unfortunate to turn her back to the Mistress.

The rising moon and the stars became witnesses to an unholy ritual as Esmeray tenderly released the cloth gag around the woman's mouth. "Shh. shh.." she'd hush and coax. "You'll be good. Yes, just like that," the Mistress smiled softly as the back of her nails rubbed against her victim's face. But the woman was not so compliant as a deafening scream echoed in the forest, a final cry for help, a last-ditch effort that animals often entertained in the face of impending doom. This cry, however, would be cut short as her hands found themselves around the woman's throat with inhuman speed. The long, sharp nails of the thumb pressed against the woman's windpipe as inconsistent chokes and gasps for air left her throat and Esmeray's grip only knew how to get stronger.

As the woman's consciousness fluttered in and out, the vampire's hold softened. "Hey, hey. I'll let you go. You won't tell anyone, right?" Even in her half-awake state, the woman managed small, but eager nods, and the vampire would smile and rub the top of the woman's head. "That's a good pet. Go now, don't let me catch you again."
The woman would stagger to her feet and cast wary looks at Esmeray before fleeing the scene. The sounds of her footsteps on the earthen ground and the rustle of leaves grew quieter with each passing second, and Esmeray would slowly rise to her feet and pull her head back to taste the growing moonlight. A slow, bubbling laugh came from the woman, more akin to a witch's cackle than a human laugh. And then, she was gone.

Disappeared. Vanished. All in an instant.

Her teeth would plunge into the soft flesh of the woman's neck, draining her like raisins in the sun as the woman stood, forever perpetuated mid-run. Newfound vigor coursed through Esmeray's veins as blood stained her white clothes red. More and more, there was no end to her carnal lust for blood, and nothing was sweeter than a victim led astray with false hope.

Sloan Francis "Frankie" Emerson
Pack Member || F || Mentions: Esmeray
Frankie had been outside for the entirety of the day with her phone off. She had a cracked, decade old ipod that she played instead, blaring into her black headphones that surly was doing harm to her long term hearing, and poorly sang the words to her favorite songs as she dug around in the woods for treasure. The young woman often described herself as a goblin, always scouting out for something pretty or shiny amongst the dirt to add to her little hoard. It was something she did as a child both for entertainment and to heal in nature, and it just stuck into her adult years. Her findings were tucked into a horridly ugly fanny pack that hugged around her curvaceous hips. A mystery bone, a few pretty rocks, and some wild flowers had been plucked from the hills for drying. Dirt and who knows what else was caked onto the black legs of her skinny jeans, all across her black combat boots, dusted across the hem of her extremely oversized shirt, and smeared across her left cheekbone. Sweat had dampened her black hair and caused it to frizz and coil into tight, messy ringlets. She was a complete mess, but she was reveling in it.
+
After finding a particularly suitable looking stump to rest at, she pulled her phone out and held the power button. It vibrated to life and a few messages came pouring in on startup. She was only interested in the time, and tucked her phone back into her pocket. Sundown was soon. It was best to head back home.
+
The woman exhaled softly and started to trek back towards civilization. She was probably a mile deep into the woods, and at least a few until she'd reach home. Hey smokey gray-blue eyes scanned the ground for any last minute finds. A few mushroom spores caught her interested, and she chopped them from the ground with a pocket knife. Mosi could probably make something delicious with them, she thought, and added them into her pouch. It was then that she heard a gut wrenching scream, not far from her position, over the music that blasted into her ears.
+
Frankie broke into a frantic run towards where she thought she'd heard the cry originating from. Twigs and leaves crunched beneath her shoes, signalling her approach. Her nostrils flared as her sensitive nose picked up on something foul nearby, and knew it was the direction she needed to investigate.

༺ Mosi Kana′tĭ ༻
Scout • 24 Female • M: pack members, Briar(dir), frankie(text)
Watching as tensions rose and fell at the talk of a female named Eve. Mosi hopped off the counter and walked over to the coffee pot once Kari,Simon, and Tori went else where in the house. The beta male Briar standing next to the coffee pot looked ready to bite someone's head of. More than he usually did of course. "What was that all about?" She said she she began a new cup of coffee. She waited for his reply as she walked over to the fridge to grab the vanilla coffee creamer.

"I don't know who this Eve is but it seems she's not very well received. Do I need to have a one on one with a bitch?" The more quiet werewolf Mosi while patient, swore like a sailor. To the amusement of her packmates.

As the coffee brewed the sound of a bird call sounded from Mosi's pocket. Her ringtone. Quickly pulling it out It was Tori in the group chat talking about her brother. She read the message about the packs medic Carson. He wasn't going to be home till late. Seeing no response from Frankie from their earlier conversation she let her fingers fly on the keyboard. Shooting a quick text to Frankie as she heard mention of rain from one of the pack. She was probably out on one of her many random adventures.

Frankie: Hey looks like rain stay safe. When you getting home? Sent: 6:28pm

Turning her attention back to Briar as she finished pouring the creamer in her coffee. Retiring the bottle to the fridge. Noting in her mind they needed more.

〈 Rosaria Jeanne Einar〉
Vampire|Second in Command| Female|Mentions: Calloway
Blood. An often red and metallic-scented fluid that nearly every living creature on the planet needed to survive. Loose too much of it and one would simply perish. Death. An interesting word to define the end of life. Both were a fascination to Rosaria, never mind that, one she needed to satisfy her otherwise unsatiable hunger, and the other something seemingly unattainable. Knelt before a large spiral-shaped web intertwined intricately between the small branches of a young tree. A moth had found itself unlucky enough to have gotten entangled in the webs sticky silk and frantically thrashed about, attempting to free itself while simultaneously alerting the spider of its presence. With keen eyes, the vampire watched as the owner of the web crawled forward. Its long legs curled around the insect as it gave a well-planted bite, quickly subduing its prey. In only a matter of mere seconds, the insects panicked thrashing slowed before stopping altogether, and the spider, no longer expending energy to hold its meal, carried it toward the centermost part of its web.
For a while longer she lingered there, brown hues locked onto the show of survival of the fittest playing out in front of her before she rose. Bending over momentarily Rosaria brushed some dirt from her black skin-tight athletic leggings before exhaling a sigh and straightening herself. The last hour she'd spent traversing the wooded area surrounding the town that she had recently moved to. Best to get to know one's surroundings as swiftly as possible, doing so would aid in making hunting and feeding a lot easier. At least, when it came to animals. Human prey was another thing entirely. Their blood was sweeter and far more delectable than that of any four-legged creature. The longer she denied herself such a delicacy the more difficult it became to ignore the endless craving. With a greater reward, came greater risk, and so, for the time being, had turned her focus to animal blood. It was a temporary measure and one she hoped would soon be remedied with her expanding knowledge of the town and its people. Patience and caution would undoubtedly give way to being able to hunt human prey without drawing unnecessary attention.
It was evening, roughly around 6 pm, and the sun would soon be departing from this side of the world and giving way to the moon and the darkness of night. The sky was cloudy, though not much of it could be seen through the canopy of leaves and branches above her. A hint of rain was on the breeze that rustled the leaves of the forest vegetation. The clouds, the onset of nightfall, and the scent of approaching rain were all the evidence Rosaria needed to head back to town and get indoors.
The vampire's current location wasn't too far from the town and, thanks to the enhanced speed of the vampire species, Rosaria made it back to the city and Calloway's place in a mere couple of minutes. It was a large house, a great deal bigger in scale than most of the other residential structures in town. Stepping up to the front door she paused only long enough to brush aside some of the strands of hair that had gotten loose from her ponytail, before pushing the door open and moving inside. Upon making sure the door was firmly shut behind her, Rosaria knelt down and quickly removed her black and white running shoes. Setting them to the side and out of the way of anyone coming or leaving the home, she headed further into the house. Her destination was the refrigerator where cartons of preserved blood were stationed. While fairly brief, the female's outing had stirred her appetite.
Walking into the kitchen Rosaria's brown hues were quick to fall on Calloway and the glass of thick red fluid on the counter before him. His soot-covered appearance surprised her. The faded and smokey scent of burnt wood, mixed with the metallic and somewhat bitter scent of the deer's blood gave her pause. Eyebrow twitching in mild disgust at the smell she moved forward. "Hey, you okay?" Grabbing a glass for herself the female turned and briefly looked over the state of her leader before lifting her eyes and letting them settle on his face. There was a hint of concern in her normally cool and distant tone.

Calloway Royce II
Lead Vampire || M || Mentions: Rosaria
"Don't touch me! Don't touch me!" Karina shouted as she shoved her way out of their bedroom door with his backpack in her hand. Her face was warped from rage, and her jaw was clenched so tightly that it trembled. Her hand ripped the mouth of his bag open to pour out the remaining contents. What fell onto the counter was a phone she had only known existed less than an hour ago. It didn't take her long to power it on and swipe through the messages when Calloway had been in the shower. He just remembered her fists pounding on the door, and the way her hand smacked against his wet face as she held the device in her hand. "What is this?" She had asked, brown eyes ablaze as she paged through contact after contact. He knew how it looked, but it wasn't what she thought. "It's business," he remembered saying, before she had mocked him and snapped the burner phone in her palms.
...
"I want you out of here!" She shouted, grabbing handfulls of his clothes and tossing them into his backpack, then shoving it against his chest. Calloway remembered the metal zipper boring into his skin at his breast bone. The door had flung open and - SLAM.
Calloway had snapped back to reality just in time to see Rosalia enter the kitchen. His cold gray eyes deflected downward to stare at the globs of red in his glass. He hunted often or sent others out to keep a stash in old milk cartons in their refrigerator. It wasn't fresh and it wasn't good, but it was enough to take the edge off of the craving. Some were able to feed exclusively off of animal blood, but that was a notion Calloway was no longer willing to submit to. When darkness covered the sky, fresh blood would pour down his throat.
+
"I'm fine," he dismissed her in a cold, standoffish tone. He gritted his teeth slightly and jutted his jaw, which made his cheeks sink inward. His preditorial fangs jabbed into the pink flesh of his inner cheek afterwards, a poor habit he had picked up when stressed or nervous. It was clear that something was wrong, but it was just as apparent that he would refuse to talk about it. Prying would only make him hostile. His soot-smeared hand wiped at his face, then wrinkled his nose up when he realized that he was just coating his cheek in it. A dissatisfied sigh fell from his lips. "I might head out tonight," Calloway said then in a flat tone. His hauntly gray eyes only then flitted to her face, where his pupils dialated as studied her expression. She was a pretty woman, he'd always thought so. Her dark brown eyes could melt the most stoic of man, he thought. Is that how she did it? Lure her prey in with her naturally good looks? Just the right gaze could coax a fool into following her down an alleyway without the slightest clue of becoming her feast. Though, perhaps she stayed as clean as possible, and only opted for animal blood. He had a hard time remembering her preferences now, everything was sort of a weird blend of numbness and despair in his head.
+
"I feel like I need more than this," Calloway admitted, raising what was left of his glass slightly in his clamy hand. He knew it could be so much better than just getting by off of the animal blood. There were so many people available for the taking, so many nearby. He wasn't sure if she'd protest or agree, but he swallowed what was left of the glass with furrowed brows and set it down on the marble countertop where it clattered from the force. He wiped away a bead of blood that had trailed downward from the corner of his lip and sighed when he realized that more black smudges were probably in its place.

Raven | F | Beta | M: Mosi, Pack members in kitchen(ind), Tori
Raven watched the drama unfold before her, rubbing her temples as she tried to keep up with not just Briar but also Tori. Thankfully, a distraction almost bumped into her arm and she turned her head to see Mosi hop onto the counter. At the female's question, Raven gave a quick shake of her head with a frown. "I'm not sure if I want to get into the middle of it myself." Raven said quietly, noting when Ikaris and Simon left the room. Tori left only a few moments later with a small statement to her that made her give a small smile before Raven noticed Rhain in the kitchen. Well, his focus was on the fridge and Raven couldn't blame him, not after what she just heard was in there.

Raven let out a sigh as the room calmed down before pulling the fridge open. She heated up the Chinese, making a mental note to compliment Mosi later about it before fixing two plates. "Rhain, make sure you leave enough for the rest of the pack." She said in a teasing voice to the male before slipping out with the plates. She found Tori with her earbuds in on the couch, most likely trying to relax. Well, it was late as it was and if they were going to have popcorn with a movie later, they needed to eat.

She waited a moment before going over to set one of the plates down in front of Tori. Sitting down to one side, she waited a moment before tapping a foot against the female's own foot. "How was your day today? Anything worth sharing?" Raven said, starting the conversation as if nothing had happened in the kitchen. She knew that Tori needed to calm down, hence the music, which meant talking about Ikaris was not a topic to start with. Maybe in a bit, she would go talk with Ikaris and get him to eat something but right now, the pack just needed to calm down after...that.

Shadow Dresden | M | 24 | Loner | M: Elle, Open
Shadow leaned at the entrance to an alleyway, watching the market crowd scurry around. It was a normal day although one of the stores seemed to have a sale or something as there was a bigger crowd there today. He checked his watch, 6:00. Hmm...the crowd was still a bit big for him. A cop walked by and he shied away, touching his mask instinctively. He didn't like the town, not just because of the people. Pack wolves had this territory. He had barely skirted around them a year ago, keeping the fine line on the border.

Shadow stretched before spotting the freight truck pulling into one of the stores. Go time. He headed forward, slipping into a small group that was making their way to the truck. They paid him no mind. He got to work with the rest of them, pulling out the cargo to the store and the furniture that needed heavy lifting. Once they were done, the money was handed out immediately. The crew always came and went so it was difficult keeping track. This was the third time he had slipped in with this group so it was easier to get away with talking.

Shadow checked his watch, noting that it had only been ten minutes. He waited by an alleyway before slipping into a bar nearby. He sat down only to find a beer sliding down to him. He reached out, grabbing it before it could go any farther before the bartender spoke, "Your here early. Didn't want to hit the crowd huh?" The blonde haired girl practically danced over to him, her usual smile on her face.

Shadow sighed before replying in as little words as possible, "Truck was early, crowd is late." The girl--ah what was her name- took that as a cue to fill him in on everything that would be going on tonight if things went good. "We have two parties going on tonight which you probably will be gone before they even get here. Dart competition will be starting at 8 and we are getting a new shipment of bourbon in come noon tomorrow." She said in a sing-song voice, earning a chuckle from him. Elle, although her manager called her Ellie. She started to twirl her hair and he braced himself for what she was about to ask.

"I'll be working all night," she said with a pout before looking at him with pleading eyes. "I told a friend I would deliver this personally but I can't see how I'll be able to drop it off." She looked at him with a pleading expression which he ignored until she asked, "Could you perhaps drop it off? If you have time of course, I don't know what your doing tonight but if you don't have time, it's perfectly okay-" Oh her voice was annoying when it got high pitched like that. Something she was good at he supposed. "Okay, I'll take it. Give me the address and I'll drop it off," he said, thinking to himself, Just stop talking in that voice.

She grinned at him and pulled the small package out from behind the bar before placing it gently on the top. "Just a few belongings that stayed at my house before he left for college." He picked up on the lie easily but wasn't going to question it. However, when he picked up the address...shit. He drank the last of his beer before she said, "I'll put it on your tab. Catch you tomorrow?" He gave her a nod before picking up the package and headed out the door. Why was it that the human could always get an edge on him?

He knew the answer and he frowned at it. Those eyes. He sighed, light brown eyes always had that effect on him. Especially after what happened to his partner. Shaking the old memory out of his mind, he made it to the edge of town before setting down the box. Shifting, he let the wolf come out and shook out his fur. The man and the wolf got along quite well unless one of them got really angry. When that happened, it was better to stay in the deeper parts of the forest.

Stretching his long legs, he picked up the box in his jaws before trotting towards pack territory. If everything went well, he could be in and out before they realized he was there. Oop, he dropped the box before rolling in a patch of clover and garlic. He smelled odd now but nothing a good shower wouldn't fix. Picking the box back up, he ran through the woods towards the trail to deliver the package.
