He had forgotten to check if he was upwind of them, and the smell of blood was still pretty strong. He limped out, his silver eyes darkening to a cold steel. "That is at moonhigh, so that Silver will not spy. We have a while yet." He waited, his face stern, but giving her a chance to speak. "I'll survive, but what do you want?" He hoped Night wouldn't come out yet. She didn't need to apologize. He knew that she was guilty, and Persephone hadn't deserved it, but if Persephone was being openly rebellious then Night did not need to apologize.

"What do you mean 'Well'?" I ask, irritated by his tone. "I wanted to check if you were alright. You seem perfectly fine to me." I say, my tone harsh. I soften a little, when I look at his face. I lay down on the ground and bury my head in my paws. I sigh. "I tried sparrow. When you told me to be better. Nicer. I really tried." I close my eyes and calm myself down. I looked up at him, trying to read his emotions.

He sighed too, carefully easing himself down to lie next to her. "I know," he said. "But you can't snap at the alpha like that. Night is amazing, she always does what is right, and she always takes care of us. Just because she snapped once doesn't mean that she always will. She didn't mean to, either. She has been so stressed with the food shortage and the illness..." He looked into the distance, concerned for his mate. Was she okay?

I nod "I get it... we're all not having a great time. I guess i wasn't really helping." I say, looking away. "i suppose you want me to appologise..." i say quietly, almost a whisper. i don't want to appologise. but i guess i'd do it if sparrow asked me to... he's my friend... right? so if he thinks it's best... i should listen to him... should i not?

"Oriole go play with other wolves I have stuff to think about." I whisper and walk away stopping at the edge of the pack territories and laying down looking at the sky and sigh. What am I gonna say to Wander? I hope she won't mind. I don't want her to leave but if it helps the pack then I will. I look over to make sure Oriole left already

"It may help, but it's better if you mean it. I'm not gonna force you to apologize." He reached out, then hesitantly licked her muzzle. "It's not your fault. All of us are stressed and are having a hard time getting along." He knew it was true, and with a pang of guilt he wished that he could have brought back all the prey that he'd meant to. It would have helped so much, but now they were all just back to normal difficult life.

He stuck his tongue out at Skylark, but left with no further protest. Hmm. Who should he go prank? Ooh-what if he snuck into the Gold camp and pranked that grumpy old grey wolf, Sparrowhawk? Ha! That would be great. But he should see if his sister was up first. Mirai was wonderful, and he loved hanging out with her.

I stand up. "We should get going. We don't want to keep the alpha waiting" I say, grinning. I help him stand up and we walk over to the willow tree, where the others were waiting. I spot luna and smile at her. I go sit next to her, wondering what all this "pack meeting" was about. maybe they were going to talk about the food shortage...?

"Okay," he said. "We still probably have at least another 30 minutes before she shows up though." He knew that she probably needed some time alone to think. She did have to give a speech right now, after all. Wait. What is this was about the thing that she said she'd talk to him about later? If it was... what was it? She had seemed guilty when she said that. Was it just from Persephone, or was it perhaps something else?

I yawn and walk out of the burrow. I woof for a pack meeting. "As you all know, my do not have enough prey. And there is a sickness going around. Please, don't be mad at me. But I need a few of you to leave. I know it will be hard to leave your loved ones. But I am trusting you. I need you to find a herb. One that can cure blackcough."
