Selene | 6 Months | Female | Pup

Mentions: Open

Brief Mentions: None

Indirect Mentions: Themba, Nephthys

Paws pounded the forest floor as Selene bounded towards Mythic Falls, enjoying the wind against her fur as she ran and the blood roaring in her ears. She had the carcass of a large brown rabbit in her mouth, which she would finish as soon as she found the rest of her pack. She had been sitting over near one of the Sentinels, Nephthys, but that wolf had told Selene to go away. She didn’t even make the slightest effort to be nice, even though Selene was new to the pack and only had the rank of pup!

“What was that wolf’s problem?” Selene wondered aloud, concerned that her father, Themba, would have his paws full encountering her. Nephthys was much bigger than him, as Selene had seen the she-wolf around camp once or twice. It was hard to believe that any female was such a behemoth, much less that she had the arrogant, self-centered attitude that she did. At least, that’s what Selene had heard. She hadn’t bothered to encounter Nephthys, it seemed like way too much trouble. And after that experience, she didn’t want to talk to the she-wolf again.

Thoughts rushed through Selene's head, and she pondered if she could make any friends in the pack. So far, she’d been much too timid to confront any of her fellow pups, or even the juveniles. She wasn’t sure if they’d judge her or not for being from a different pack, or what if they made fun of her for her personality? And of course, if she was too afraid to talk to those her own age, then she would never try to make a friendship with any older wolves. All of them might not be mean like Nephthys, but Selene wasn’t about to take her chances. That brute of a she-wolf had already hurt Selene enough. Did Nephthys not like her already? Just because she was looking at the sentinel?

Ripping Selene from her thoughts and snapping her back to reality was the loud, crashing sound of the Mythic Falls. She’d arrived at the top of the gently sloping waterfall, and was left staring into the clear blue water. This seemed like a great place to finish the rest of her snack. She laid down next to the bank of the water, setting her rabbit down between her paws before she started to eat again. She wondered when the ceremony would start, and if her father was okay.

Iaao | Medic | Female | Mentions: Koda

The female had her steel gaze concentrated to the earth beneath her. A soft hum coming from her throat. She was on the mission to find some herbs that were only exclusive in fall, and she peered up for a second - it seemed the weather was keen to bring frost early. That would mean more colds and coughs among the pack - especially if the weather became more irrational. Luckily she had stored up on many herbs for such things : peppermint, oregano, ginger, garlic, elderberries , yarrow and even thyme and turmeric. She had a good apprentice with a good nose on him to help her find the herbs. However she was looking for something in particular this season: common marrow, it had many uses - could be used for coughs, colds, and bronchitis- it could even be used for stomachaches and bladder complaints along with applying to wounds. So a very useful herb that she seemed to be running low on. It seemed the pack had been running her storage low yet she somehow managed to restock .She sighed as she continued looking for the herb, a determined expression on her face. She would make sure she was prepared for every senerio and wouldn't be caught off guard, never.

Her attention then turned to her apprentice who was rambling on in excitement. She gave a small chuckle and smile at seeing him being so confident in himself. It was a rare thing since he was such a shy creature usually- so seeing him being able to be confident and open himself up to her warmed her callous heart. If anyone else besides him had done such a thing - not to mention question her medical knowledge they would've swiftly gotten a painful reminder that though she may be a medic she is to not be questioned .

"Now, I honestly do not think anyone will get hurt for a simple feasting ceremony during the Full Moon Ceremony- yet, there is the chance of some being more gluttonous than others and getting stomachaches. Now tell me what herbs can be used to alleviate stomachaches that we can find now in the fall before the frost hits."

And she gave a small smirk before saying, " When dealing with a broken paw, you would set the bone, use two sturdy pieces of wood to make a sort of splint and use strong vines to hold it together, and then give the wolf a few poppy seeds for pain. Always remember never give too many poppy seeds as they are helpful in medicinal uses yet they are also poisonous and hazardous when too many are consumed. Along with giving the wolf feverfew and yarrow for possible fever and headache. And chamomile or lavender to also calm them down. Now I am looking for a specific herb and I'm wondering if you know what it is my star pupil." And she gave a teasing and encouraging smirk towards the young wolf. She knew he was up to the challenge.

Harald and Bartram | 1.2 and 5 months | Males | Loners

Mentions: Open

⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙

Harald's eyes of light brown scan his surroundings with his ears flicking to detect any sound that might be prey. Since he doesn't have a sense of smell, he's stuck with hearing and sight. Just great, he's stuck with a useless nose. He should take this nose off, take off this useless thing. He sighs in irritation and flicks the tip of his tail. He kept trotting, using whatever he has to find something to eat. Isn't there a carcass lying around here somewhere? If so, Harald doesn't need to hunt and get dirted with the disgusting blood of a filthy animal. Just the thought of that made the male shudder, imagining the crimson liquid sticking to his coat. "Gross. Why did I think about such a thing?" He muttered, disappointed that he made his brain dirty with such a thought. He could feel a shiver run down his spine, then a wave of nausea in his stomach. He takes a glance at the ground-trying to check the ground for any animal prints so he can track them down.

He kept going on the dirt path, only for his face to scrunch up in disgust. His poor paws are being covered in filth-filth that other animals walked on, as well. He shakes his head, keeping his eyes down to the ground, but would glance up to see what's ahead of him. Coming to a pause when he hears rustling nearby, and his eyes widen in relief. Finally, something he can eat. He stalks closer, moving closer to the sound, and was getting ready to pounce. His steps were light, ears focused on the direction of the sound. That's when he lunges, his teeth clamping around the back of its neck, getting ready to make the killing bite only for it to release a startled yelp. Harald lets go instantly, his eyes moving down to whatever made that noise. He growls in irritation upon realizing what it was. It was a damn pup picking berries from a bush; that's what the rustling noise was. He plops down on the ground in defeat and ignores his grumbling stomach. Watching the terrified pup, and shakes his head in disappointment. The pup kept low to the ground, his body quivering in fear. Seeing this, Harald sighs and steadily rises from the ground. Keeping his movements to a minimum to not scare the pup even more. He walks away from the scared pup-keeping his steps light to not make a noise as he crept away.

Harald comes across a shade of a tree, collapsing on the ground, and lets out a huff. He shuts his eyes, trying to find a plan to find some food he can eat. That's when he felt it, something touching his fur, and his eyes shot open. Getting close to snapping at whatever touched him, only to relax when it was the pup again. This time, it has a twig covered in berries in his mouth. "Is that for me?" He asks, watching the pup place the twig down onto the ground. He watches the pup nod his head, the pup's tail wagging slightly-confirming that the berries were indeed for Harald. The older male starts taking the berries one by one into his mouth, enjoying the taste of the berries on his tongue. "Can't talk?" He questions the pup, and the pup shakes his head. "Uh, thanks. I guess. Now, shoo." Not wanting an icky pup to follow him. So, he starts to leave again after finishing his berries. He comes to a halt when the pup follows him, and he narrows his eyes in annoyance. He watches the pup trip over his paws, falling to the ground with a small, stifled yelp.

He walks over, grabs the pup by the back of his neck, and proceeds to carry him along down the dirt path. Harald needs to find a spot to clean himself properly. Harald kept walking, adjusting the pup here and there in his mouth. He places the pup down when he spots a rabbit, glaring at the pup, and he brings his lips close to the pup's ears. "Stay here. Don't move." He warned before stalking off in the direction of the rabbit. The pup waits for a few seconds, only for the smell of blueberries to enter his little nose. Blindly, he follows after the scent. He trips here and there, crossing into pack borders without knowing. The pup came to a stop when he bumps into the bush and starts plucking the berries off. Munching on the berries without a care in the world.

leala || delta female || 4 || M: Loki

Gaze shifting between trees, and anywhere in thr distance she could see from afar, the females attention was rather focused, as per usual when it came to her tasks. Part or her hoped to find some sort of target for the two of them to have something to do. After all she did have the side of her that enjoyed the hunt. Leala did tend to have the bloodthirsty part of her that enjoyed taking down prey, she didnt care whether that was in a hunting situation or a combat situation which the two wolves could have a chance of encountering.

Her strides were rather cautious as she simply trotted through the forest, only a tiny distance behind the male in front of her. She wasnt too fussed on who she was paired with as lomg as he was able to get his, well their, job done if and when it came to it. She was not neccessarily too bothered if they werent able to find a target but she did long to find one especiially since she wasnt provided with the task of joining in on the hunt for the celebration tonight.

Hmm, to distract from the silence or not too, her thoughts pondered, there was the actress part of her that loved to flirt to distract from the lack of emotions that she possessed, meanwhile there was also this side of her that didnt care to cater to that and would rather speed up the task within sillence. Decisions, decisions. She was aware that not many in the pack opted to deal wiht Loki, she knew some found him intolerable, she did in some situations but most of the time she took little to no care to his actions so could only presume he wouldnt start a conversation, this might be her chance to get a source of entertainment.

"You dont talk much do you?" Her voice slicing through the silence. Leala's voice matched that of her tiny stature, being soft in most cases, yet not high pitched, like the type of voice you would wish to silence forever.

Looking up at his mentor, he smiled, almost embarrassed at his stupid question.
"Yeah...you're right." Koda said and pinned his audits to his cranium. He began to listen intently as his mentor explained how to heal a broken paw. Koda couldn't hide his amazement. She knew so much. And one day he would know just as much as her, maybe more! Koda perked his ears at Iaso's question but it soon followed with a grin.
.
He trotted proudly next to her before answering her question.
"Easy! Peppermint! It can alleviate the pain..I think." Koda soon became flustered as he realized he wasn't exactly sure. He flicked his banner and started falling behind due to his curiosity wand wanting to play with everything in sight. He then caught himself and tan back up to her side.
"Mentor Iaso, how do you know so much about herbs? Were you in my position before, too?" He said with a look of curiosity in his hues.

Themba
Male | 5 | Hunter | Mentions: Nepthys, Selene (direct)

Themba couldn't help but be slightly intimidated by the behemoth of a female. Just laying down, Themba could tell how large she was. Her coat was undeniably pale, almost as if Themba had to squint just to get a half-decent look at her. He huffed softly as she looked up at the standing male, in which he would then sit back on his haunches.

Themba slightly pinned his ears at her snarl. Her ivories were bared, all teeth daring to clamp down around his throat. Was this female really that harsh? Cold? Brutal? Perhaps it was the fact he was new and the two didn't know each other, or maybe it really was the fact that she was just that rude. But why be in a pack, then? Obviously she was dominant, or at least had some sort of leadership. Why even bother? She could easily start her own pack, which in Themba's mind, would probably be an army to her rather than a pack.

The female was right - Themba wasn't supposed to be bothering anyone of higher rank than him unless absolutely needed. However, the rule had completely went over his head and he wasn't even sure what rank this female was. Themba barely had any friends within the pack, and his only true friend was his daughter. Which was rather saddening, but it wasn't like Themba hadn't tried - some considered him to be strange, and for the right reasons, but that didn't mean he wasn't worth anyone's time.

Themba quickly decided that he would have to be careful with whatever words he decided to use next. Themba didn't have any advantages, and considering how rude this female was being now, he couldn't bare to even imagine what she looked like in battle. Themba sighed. "I'm sorry for not being familiar with all the rules. Besides, haven't the alphas perhaps assigned you a role for the Full Moon Celebration?"

Themba had stopped himself from continuing. No use in trying to reason with such a petty female. He licked his lips before shaking his head, rising to all four feet. He looked at her one last time. "Enjoy your day," he mumbled, then turning at her last comment. "Says the higher rank doing absolutely nothing," Themba grumbled, though deep down he hoped it wasn't audible.

Themba began walking away, picking up the scent of his beloved daughter. He pinned his ears, head lowered as he began to approach the small being. He looked at the water of Mythic Falls, which Themba could spot his reflection. He looked back at Selene and smiled softly. "You better not be causing any ruckus, youngin'," he stated softly, approaching her.

"Did that wolf do anything to you?" Themba then asked, genuine concern in his tone.

Issa
Female | 4 | Banished | Mentions: Maya (direct), family members (indirect)

Issa could see Enya's face, a large and warm smiled plastered across her muzzle as she ran through the field. Her mother and father were further ahead. "Come along, Issa!" Enya exclaimed, running towards their parents. Issa began to walk, but so suddenly, the environment turned into a black void.

In front of her, Issa saw her family laughing and joyfully playing. She squinted, and then tried to walk. But she couldn't. Her paws were stuck. Grounded.

"You know, they're happy without you. Doesn't that disappoint you, Issa?" A voice echoed. Issa shook her head.

"Who even are you?" Issa looked around, but all she could see was a deep, dark, black void. Her family in front of her disappeared, and instead, an exact photo-copy of herself. Issa tilted her head, the wolf in front of her doing the same.

"I'm you."

This time, the voice was distorted and deep. It was unsettling, sending chills down Issa's spine.

Issa's eyes fluttered open as the rays of the sun beat down on her. She squinted, looking around. Everything was... normal. Issa sighed softly. Ever since she had been banished by the alphas, she hadn't been the same. Her thoughts were dark. Cold. Menacing. Why? She didn't know, but the fact that she was banished for being who she wanted to be... pathetic. Seriously. Why believe in gods that aren't even real? That aren't even proven to be real. Probably some old scribbles on stone walls made the pack what it is, but whatever it was, it was probably the stupidest of thing she had ever encountered in her four years of life.

Issa rose to all four feet before exhaling heavily. She looked around for a moment, seeing absolutely nothing. Issa turned her head to her left, inhaling the midday air. She could only pick up the scent of her friend, Mayavi, who was banished as well from the pack. Idiots, though Issa as she began following the scent. Coming up on a rock, Issa found her comrade laying on an all-too-familiar rock.

Issa smirked playfully, approaching the female and sitting just below the rock. "Seems like your luck failed just as much as my own," Issa stated, noticing that Maya had no food. Issa couldn't blame her - these non-pack territory areas were normally quiet. No fun. Nothing interesting. But to be honest, Issa didn't really try to find food. There just seemed to be no use.

Issa looked around, her tired eyes guiding themselves to the treeline. She sighed softly. "No sign of any patrols though," Issa looked back at Maya who was seemingly bored. Issa couldn't blame her - you might as well go crazy trying to live without a pack that you've had your whole life or at least part of it. "We could always go back. Make amends." Issa suggested, but it was more or less a reminder to herself that her family did miss her.

But how true was that?

Ezra || 1.8 || Male || Juvenile || M: Mishka, Akala, Mottle (NPC, dead)

The young wolf paused and looked between his two elder companions, then shrugged one shoulder in response to their question without slowing his strides. "Mottle used to say that the land suffered whenever the gods were angry -- and not just angry at us; they could be angry at anything. His favorite example was when he said some god flirted with another god's mate and the second god got so angry that the earth split and shook so violently that the whole face of the land changed.

"And then Levi was talking about how even mortal wolves can kind of do something similar. We can break things apart when we're angry, too. Just maybe not level mountains. But families get broken, friendships and trusts are dissolved, and things like that."

Again, Ezra shrugged, and fell silent with a nonchalant air about him that suggested it in no way bothered him that he had just spoken unusually deeply. Whether or not they had been Levi's words, Ezra rarely repeated them. Levi had a thing against his opinions being expressed via another party, and his brother respected that. Most of the time. Thoughts were only paraphrased when Ezra agreed with them.

While he lacked the spirituality that Levi had, Ezra was not one to ignore the gods, nor try to disprove the ancient traditions of the pack. He'd seen too much to deny the existence of higher powers. Even Mottle had taken a respectful tone when speaking of them all, and that was a rare happening.
