Silver Mar || 14 || F || Fire || Memory Magic || M: Star "Not really. Just an aspect of my magic that I want to practice." Then under her breath, "But who would want to put themselves through that." She gave a small sigh, she had only ever used that part of her magic in life-or-death situations. Who knows if the school anti-fight magic would even let me try, given that I can't exactly use it on a practice dummy, after all, those can't experience memories.

Edsel "Eddie" Virginia // 15 // M // Vampiric Siren // M: Alex Libraries were not his favorite place to be. But at the same time, he had some questions about a particular piece of literature--some sort of Macbeth? He hadn't ever heard of it or the author but it had been referenced so often in one of the classes that he figured he'd better read it. Or at least figure some stuff out about it. Importantly, Eddie had his head down and walking slowly toward the chairs. The three books in his hands as he made his way down the isle. However a flash of movement caught his eyes and he looked up, catching the last sentence from one of the other students. 'Commit a life-threatening action?'
Surprise flared in his expression before a touch of worry crossed his lips. "Shouldn't you ask a teacher or other student? I mean, it's dangerous to do things like this alone and without aid." Like the first time he had tried to even smell garlic. Oh... he hated that time. It didn't burn him, luckily, or whatever it was supposed to do. But he did pass out. Fantastic. "Nobody should be doing anything reckless and life-threatening," Eddie insisted. Especially not freshmen. He was still figuring out that term. Why fresh man? Was it because they were new?

Silver Mar || 14 || F || Fire || Memory Magic || M: Star Silver looked at the floor "I can trap someone in a memory. Only for a few seconds, but I don't know how long that would be for them. I can't choose the memory though. It just..." She trailed off and looked at Star for a moment before looking back to the ground and half whispering "I think the magic takes the worst thing that has happened in that place and forces the person to live through it." Her voice returned closer to normal. "The one person I have done this to before wanted to kill me. So I...I just sort of asked the magic to 'DO SOMETHING'. Everything I know about this part of my magic is based on what I could observe."

"and i think that's part of the defensive capabilties of your magic, but i'd have to read up on it." something twinged inside but she couldn't be sure what it was.

Fansty. I poke around there for a while. There. A book about dragons. It reminds me of home. I head off to go check it out.

Edsel "Eddie" Virginia // 15 // M // Vampiric Siren // M: Star, Silver, Alex "I'm pretty sure there isn't... a book that is going to have anything about that," Eddie said quietly, hesitant almost. Now that Silver had explained a bit more about her abilities, he really didn't want to stick around. He didn't want to go through everything all over again. "Most books here only have the basics of magic and abilities, where it comes from... it uses energy... and most of them can be dangerous if used wrong." That was it. Eddie finally stepped back, not wanting to stick around any longer than he had to and trailed off after the other young woman. "Hey," he said quietly. "Alex, right?"

Silver Mar || 14 || F || Fire || Memory Magic || M: Star, Eddie "He's right. I doubt that there would be a book on it. Where I come from magic is pretty darn common, yet Memory Mages are very rare. If I remember the lectures I eavesdropped on it is what is called a hybrid magic. Illusion and Truth magic if I remember correctly. Though I never heard of any others who can force people into a memory so maybe there is something else mixed in." She sat back and sighed. "But if you would be willing to help, I would be very grateful. We might want to find a place unlikely to have really bad memories though. I don't want to know what would happen if I accidentally stuck you in a memory of someone breaking their leg or something."
