I walked through the halls , sort of lost. Amaris, where are we going? I wondered, he just poked my shoulder with his snout playfully. We entered an open area, and I hopped on him and flew away. It was heavenly. The sky was clear and the wind wasn't too hard. I patted Amaris on the head and he made happy dragon noises. I smiled. We were going to be a great time, and I was going to be a great dragon rider.

As Amaris and I flew around, I spotted a bunch of people and their dragons near the entrance to a cave. Come on, let's check it out. i said, but Amaris was already flying towards them at full speed, with his tongue out, smiling. You cute dork I thought, and stroked his ears. Amaris landed -very badly- on top of another dragon. I was flung of his back and landed on the grass. "OW! AMARIS BAD DRAGON!" I yelled, rubbing my head. I glanced at the people around me, all staring like I was crazy. "Hi" I said awkwardly.

I groaned and crumpled my papers. A bomb wouldn't work. Dragons can't be killed that easily. Poison. Some kind of poison that kills all dragons. I need a poison. Deadly to dragons... something really deadly. I got up and headed to the library. There has to be something. Something that can wipe out all dragons for good. I entered the library and headed to the section about dragons. Weaknesses... Deadly plants... poisonous flowers ANYTHING. I cursed and slammed the book closed, as I left the library. I'll have to find something myself.

A small voice in his mind was telling him to give up. Maybe dragons aren't that bad... Right. No need to kill them all. Just... keep the, away from humans so nobody gets hurt. He scoffed. Like that will work... those dragon riders won't let go of those dragons. He sighed. Why am I wasting my life on this again? He wondered.

"Ow." I say when my dragon falls onto me Get off me Autumn what happened? I ask to him. He growls and says another dragon fell on me. I see someone." Hi." I say back and wiggle out from under Autumn." Who are you?"

Amaris get off. I thought, and he jumped off the person he squashed, and bounced over to me, flopping down at my feet. He was quite big, but still behaved like a dragonet. "Sorry about him" I said. "I'm Estelle, I uh, go to the dragon riding school" Amaris, manners! I thought, and he got up and sat down obediently beside me.

I walk over to Talo and wave at the new person. "Skipping class like the rest of us?" I sit next to the waterfall, letting the water splash down at me.

Autumn growls viciously at the dragon Calm down I say and greet the person." Your skipping class you know?" Sit down now and be patient I say to Autumn and sit down by Pierce." Don't you have a crush on Ashi?" I say quietly

Skipping... "Oh my gosh! I forgot! Sorry about everything! It was nice meeting you!' I called Amaris, let's fly. Amaris obediently crouched so I can climb onto him. Good boy I thought and he made more happy growling noises. I tried to make friends with those dragons He said to me. But they didn't like me that much... I patted his head Do you ever get lonely? He asked me All the time! I said I wish I had a human friend. At least one. I bet you feel the same about dragons. I said. Yeah. Your not going to class, are you? He said. I smiled

"Of course not"

"Nothing." I smile and motion for Autumn to come here Let's follow them I say and hop onto Autumn following them I soon catch up to them and call out." Wait for us." I fly next to them and lay on the back of Autumn." Sorry about Autumn earlier he doesn't usually act like this."

Friend! Friend! Friend! Amaris's thoughts were very loud. Shhh buddy I said. "Oh! No worries! Amaris can get a bit excited when he meets new dragons." I said, and scratched his ears "He just loves meeting new dragons" I smiled. How did I end up with such a sweet dragon? "What's your name?" I asked, looking over at them

"My name is July. This is Autumn." I point to my dragon." He is a pretty gentle dragon most of the time but he doesn't like when dragons topple him on his owner." I smile and jump onto Amaris petting his ear and whispering praises." You've got a pretty nice dragon here. Well I better get going I wanna talk to someone." I fly back to the cave and see Roxley, I walk to him and smile." Hey Roxley."
