Zura gasped and stood stock still. A cub has died? That is horrible. She looked at Naita sorrowfully. 'I am sorry for you, Naita', she said and nuzzled her shoulder. What a shock it must be for a mother to lose a cub all of a sudden, with no warning whatsoever. She glanced at Ukuta and saw shock dancing in Ukuta's grey eyes, but Ukuta's face did not flinch.

Naita raced over to Jackal, worry in her eyes. She knew Karaz was angry, and something has happened very dear to him. She told Jackal, stay here, but of course, the cub was curious. Naita didnt care. She raced away, Jackal at her heels. When they reached the scene of the crime, Naita gasped and flicked her tail over Jackals eyes. She then turned to him and whispered, run. Find Kesi. Distract her, please, Jackal. He nodded and ran his heart away. So recent after the herd! He found Kesi, and was breathless as he asked her to play a game. Of course shed be suspicious, though. He was panting, and a tear ran down his cheek. |

Naita smelled another dead cubs scent mingled with Jaytones. It smelled like... no. It couldnt be. Not now. Not so soon! She raced, her heart pounding, to a slightly decaying body of... Amra! Her heart twisted in her throat. This was worse than losing Jaytone. Naitas own daughter! Sure, Jaytone felt like a son, but Amra was her own blood... this couldnt be happening. She stretched her limbs wearily, then scattered the bugs flying around. She lay down, resting her chin on the cub bloody, dead body. Then she slept. Her deep sleep calmed her. Oh, how she wish she was with Jaytone and Amra! Poor little Amra... she was so young... and innocent. She yowled a mournful yowl in her sleep. Her tail and leg kicked at nowhere. She sobbed silently then. |

Amra Amra's ghost stood behind her body, the see-through white blinking its eyes. She dipped her head to her mother and then pulled her head back up. She turned to her brother and gave him a nod of aknowladgment.
Then her ghost fadded into the landscape around them, fadding into thin air. |

Ajihad's fur went up, and he began growling. "Let's do this the easy way. I'm just retrieving something that belongs to my pride. I'll leave you alone, if you leave me alone." His blood pumped and he began to understand how lionesses were able to protect their cubs so fiercely. He hoped if he was injured, she would be able to find her way back home. "Come one Tara. Let's go," he began to walk away. He kept his ears open for Pandora. |

Tara followed Ajihad closely, almost being under foot. She looked down as she walked, wondering why her mother didn't come look for her. She gave a small defeated sigh as she looked at Ajihad. "Thank you for finding me" she said. She was grateful to the older male that he found her. |
