Hello!
So I want to do a tabletop campaign and have never been a game master before. I was thinking about doing a campaign in the forums because doing things via text is easier on my anxiety. So I thought it would be a good experience for my first time as well as a way to build my improv/roleplay skills.

The idea for the campaign is fairly simple and rather cliche in my mind. Basically the party starts in an inn with no memory of how they got there. (Incredibly cliche I know, but bear with me.) The campaign is set in a dark wood forest with the village and it's residents being the only inhabitants outside of the monsters and native flora and fauna. A lot of the NPCs are witches and offer a bunch of mysterious quests or off-putting dialogue. There are also "normal" NPCs in the village, these mostly being the business owners. The residents of the village also have no memory of how they got there and the time there is incrediblt weird. Some of the residents have been there for hundreds or thousands of years and have not aged a day from the day they arrived. There are also residents who were born and raised there, but they aged slowly, reaching maturity at about 100 years of age only to stop aging all together after that.

I was thinking about starting it off with a small group maybe 2-4 people so as not to overwhelm myself as a first time game master and slow the progression of the campaign. The order of the responses on the main forum will be turn based. Literacy is not a requirement, but would be nice to have so everyone understands what is being said or going on.

Right now I'm just looking for interest and suggestions, opinions, and ideas! I intend for this to be more roleplay based as it is a text-based campaign this time around. Assuming there is a lot of interest and this does in fact happen and go smoothly, I would be doing something similar but IRL with a different group of people.
