+ to add to this! The Old Gods are Gods & Goddess who humans are losing faith in. So they're slowly losing their power and pantheons/temples . So they're either trying to kill the Young Deity and the Elementals because they can't be happy and don't want anyone else to be or to sacrifice them and gain followers. Or they just want the world to burn for the mortals losing faith in them.
